  1. I had a Holley 390 that I gave to another Connecticut member from FTE (Josiah Thorngate) for his 300 project truck. He ended up selling it for a much later 4 door that better fit his growing family and their concerns about safety. (but I do think it worked well enough. )
  2. Like Jeff said "where's the intelligence?" If you hold MS then I guess this 'news' is good for you. Personally, I feel it is just more marketing "bovine excrement"

  4. My uncle's 330GT 2+2 had a brace of Weber downdrafts on it. I was too young to mess with them. Webers were MUCH easier to deal with than Stromberg's or SU's. Those things would change with temperature or humidity, not only air pressure. More oil, less oil, thicker oil, what a mess....
  5. Funny, way back when Weber bought all the patents from Carter and made all the Carter's.... and Edelbrock's too. I never had any trouble getting the rack of DCOE's on my buddy Bills E-Type synched up and running crisp.
  6. I thought you had the valve covers off and barred the engine over? Surely you would have found a tight valve or bent pushrod? Do you have a PMGR starter? I'm not too familiar with exactly where the crank flange of a Windsor sits in relation to the plane of the bellhousing..
  7. Nothing unexpected here. You instruct the Chatbot to act as a psycho/socia path you're going to break its prime directive. No one 'needs' another "AI" to do this. (easily proven by what happened with Bing chat in February and MANY other LLM's in the past)
  8. Aw, $#!+ here we go again... ๐Ÿ™„ This was a decade ago. Sounds exactly like the Feb quote about Copilot.
  9. You probably want "upload a file" from the choices in the [more] button at the right above the reply window. I was hoping to find OEM for cheap, but I don't think U-haul has any left. (it's over two decades ago)
  10. They saved,.... what (on a cigar lighter) 25ยข? I'm sure the connector is back there. Maybe a nice marine dual USB?
  11. Amazon's got the Dorman RH nuts, $18.62 for 10 Dorman 611-058 Wheel Nut 9/16-18 Standard - 1-1/16 In. Hex, 21/32 In. Length Compatible with Select Ford Models, 10 Pack https://a.co/d/hYmkpQo
  12. If you don't care about the length uhaultruckpartsonline has a listing for pairs of genuine Ford studs c9tz1107c for $2.79 https://www.ebay.com/itm/201919827234?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=S3BjJ0E7SWC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=V52-0s-ZTpm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I'm not seeing the lug nuts I bought in box of 4 right now, but they might be there on the other page (U-techcenter)
  13. I understand that a poll has to be a new topic. And now I understand why you use them here.
  14. As long as the knurled end is the right size (some studs are really big under the head) it shouldn't matter too much the length. The studs in my 10.25 are stupid long and completely unnecessary for an SRW. Not a big deal when I have my impact but I sure wouldn't want to be changing a flat with the bent bar Ford left me under the hood.
  15. Feel free to nuke it. I didn't realize I was supposed to poll.
  16. 1107 is Ford's basic part number for a wheel stud. There are a bunch of wheel studs on there but I don't know what you need. You just want to match the right, and get lug nuts too, correct? I'm assuming yours are 9/16x2 1/2"???
  17. You've got an eight lug hub. It's fine to drive "normally" with seven nuts, not recommended, but nothing bad is going to happen. Left hand on the left side is a throwback to knock off wheels and some old military standards that required them. Note that even Dana/Spicer discontinued using them. You might have a look at U-techcenter/Uhaul truckpartsonline eBay storefront. This is where I get a bunch of genuine Ford NOS for cheap. Lugnuts, studs, nuts & bolts, wire sets, all kind of stuff. Though their older inventory is getting snapped up by restorers and resellers. Shipping is prompt and cheap. They will combine if you make a note on your cart.
  18. I can pin a topic Dane, but I don't have any experience with them so it's up to you to follow thru.

  20. Very similar, the intermittent wipers are a module and grounded switch that fits the same plug as 2-speed, or the NSS for Auto's and clutch safety both fit one harness and it's just a matter of the one not used being jumpered. ETA the harness for '84-87 gas trucks is set up to accept EEC or Duraspark-II ignitions
  21. Maybe Whisler would want to part with his, since "the truck is long gone"?
  22. "Pony" seems like the stripper optioned fleet truck that utility companies were bound to run back then. You don't need much speed or capacity to read or change a meter. (electric, water or gas)
