  1. It used to be said "The only thing Internet Explorer is good for is loading Firefox..." But I look back to Boolean search terms on Alta Vista and Netscape, and pine for the days before browsers think they know better than me what I want, or serve me 3 pages of 'promoted/sponsored' garbage. ðŸĪŽ
  2. Welcome! You've certainly found the right place. 😉
  3. It seems funny that when these trucks were sold a rear bumper was optional, but quite a few members I've seen still had the underslung license plate bracket with lamp...
  4. Wow, that doesn't look like fun! I only know my Bricknose, and those thermactor bolts at the rear of the heads are a nightmare. If I'm under the truck I want to reach everything possible! Kinda like I suggested to Gary to use a socket head cap screw on the driver side lower manifold to head pipe flange w With the Zf-5...
  5. Gary and Chris, both, did a stellar job bringing the forum into the 21st century! 👍 Much thanks too to the team at InVision for making the transition as seamless as it seems to have been (I realize there was a lot happening behind the curtain)
  6. Your bumper looks great, and those wheels are a nice touch! 👍 I think Ron/Reamer is still reproducing the stock style license plate holder that fits beneath the left taillight. He's somewhere up in the NE corner of CT, so not too far from Boston.
  7. I like your 'KISS' ideas for Dad's Truck. I have my small relay box mounted in the space once occupied by the starter relay, with the 3G Mega fuse on it's side. This has worked well for the few years it's been in place. I agree w/ Bill that I wouldn't want anything important directly under the battery. (even if it's a sealed gel cell)
  8. I've never had to 'go up top' to get bellhousing bolts out. 30" extension and an impact swivel socket always worked for me...
  9. I see it occasionally at my hardwood lumberyard. I know it's the same family as hickory but it certainly has more character! Seems just as hard, and if it burns similarly about the only thing hotter is black locust. Interesting that you say it is tough to cut across the grain. I know hickory can be stringy to cut or split (for firewood) You may have your work cut out for you!
  10. Truck seems unscathed. I like those wheels! 👍 What do you do with the pecan logs? Would probably make very attractive furniture or flooring.
  11. I'd imagine the belt tension and the fact that the fan is basically a propeller trying to pull the truck by the water pump shaft are bigger factors than the actual weight of the fan. I'm not sure about an 05-06, but the fan from an '07 Expy sure doesn't have the pitch or blade size my 460 does. Can't say how much air it moves, but I'd be interested to know.
  12. When he brought Big Blue back from Vern in Florida there were lots of sloppily painted red items on it. It was one of his missions to remove all traces. I taunted him a bit.... 😇
  13. You need to suggest painting something red (like a brake caliper or the ribbed aluminum differential cover....) ðŸĪŠ
  14. Wow, I'm sorry. ðŸĪ’ I didn't think to test it before I boxed it up, and it was working fine when I took it off my truck.
  15. Welcome to the forum. Very pretty Bronco's! Are you sure T-19? AFAIK they were only in 250's and above, with the 460 or the IDI. Does yours have synchro 1st and PTO windows on both the passenger and driver's side???
