  1. You should have the R/LB wire on the right option of the left (manual) diagram on the second page (pg30) between connector 121 and 128.
  2. 1st, the clutch switch can come out of adjustment. Slide the plastic block down the toothed rod and when you next step on the pedal it will sound like it's breaking. Suggestion: hold the key forward to start and THEN step on the clutch. If you think the switch is bad, un plug it and plug a spare fuse into the harness side. It could also be the transmission end of the starter safety loop. Without a range switch it should be jumpered. Let me find the diagram.... BRB
  3. My PMGR listed the solenoid as 40A to pull. 13A to hold I forget the crank. I think it was 140 or something. Gary has it posted somewhere here on the website....
  4. Wait! The starter solenoid wouldn't throw if it wasn't getting triggered. YOU have a problem with the starter cable or the little braided tail that goes from the hot stud that the cable attaches to into the starter.....
  5. Yeah, a conventional bendix wouldn't throw unless the motor turned. The starter relay trigger wire (R&B) has provision for a clutch switch AND a transmission position sensor. One of these isn't connecting or is out of adjustment. You can jump the clutch switch with a spare fuse. The transmission position switch should be jumpered by a plug at the end of the harness.
  6. G701 has almost everything in the harness tied to it. The tank senders are at the rear, and brought up there. That's why I made a dedicated ground from 701 and brought it to what would have been my EEC ground that's part of the - terminal of my battery clamp. It was easy to run while I was getting power and relay for the tiny 8" sub under my seat.
  7. No, I'm a caffeine addict with high resistance. I should literally just buy the powdered caffeine and sniff it to stay awake in the flatbed. I meant of the 2 diagrams you posted which is closest to what's actually going on? Alright, here's the thread. https://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/Heater-Air-Flow-is-always-low-tp143525.html
  8. (A) I was in the truck. (B) On my phone.Š Without my glasses. (D) It was early, before my 4th coffee. (E) all the above. The schematic shows EEC & Duraspark. You have extensively modified BB's harness, but I don't know (or care) exactly how. I'll go look for the thread since it is germane, or this conversation is germane to IT....
  9. Dollars to donuts he's popped the thermal fuse, unless someone left the wire off. They are easily available for replacement in coffee makers and irons. Show me 106 from the grounds page of the 85 EVTM.
  10. I've been impressed with the new orange loctite. It is said to be as 'strong' as red without the need for heating to 400° for removal. Either of these is a whole lot less permanent that welding, if you choose to change your mind down the line.
  11. I definitely "know a guy" in Scranton, but if this truck isn't in good shape and you don't have a legitimate VIN plate to go with the title you're probably better off using what you can and scrapping the husk. Good luck! .
  12. Your truck was setup as W/Euraspark... correct? Yeah, the orange wire triggers the relay, that I grounded through the mounting screw to the fender. The relay gets power from the Megafuse connection, through an inline fuse holder, and provides power to the blower motor in all positions but 'off'. You don't need to relay the ground side.(but you could) 261 is heavy enough to handle the blower easily. Run a dedicated ground wire to 701, like I did with my audio upgrade, and run an overlay ground past Splices 802 & 165 from the speed selector switch. I find it interesting that G106 is connected all the time to the resistor. Didn't we have a user puzzling why they had one fan speed (low) that never shut off? And no high or intermediate speeds?
  13. 👍👍👍. Audio quality is excellent!!! I wish our 'snow' was like that. Here along the coast we got a couple of inches (50mm) of fluff and then 8 hours of "wintery mix' Aka sleet That's exactly how a truck should start in the cold. 😁 And good for you to knock the snow off your boots. Salty slush sitting at the door pinch weld that the gasket fits on is what rots floors out along side the seat.
  14. Why not just drive it, Bradley? Are the collectors pointing right at the gas tank? No one else in your town has open pipes on their vehicle? If I was 900 miles closer I'd bed it over there, but I don't have the time or fuel to make that happen.
  15. Glad you got the routing figured out and the R&R went smoothly. Sorry I didn't have an illustration for you.
  16. Now you understand why I installed the E450 fan relay kit I got from U-haul parts online. It sits inside the passenger fender just clear of the hood hinge and jack. Came with adhesive heat shrink crimps already installed. Edit: it takes power directly from the input bus connection of my little fuse & relay box, through a 30A inline fuse holder to the blower motor.
  17. Another big nothingburger. 🙍‍♂ī¸ Turned to sleet here at the shoreline and kept me from checking float heights or crawling under to smack the springs back into line. Glaze ice everywhere and it's getting cold as the sun goes down. This is going to be a FUN shift!
  18. And thus, a gearhead was born!.... Kids these days don't leave the house. Those that do are involved in some structured team activity. None I know use their head to piece something together out of the scrap pile.
  19. And it fits with what I've seen - that at least Copilot will not adhere to the guidelines you give it. Period. So you cannot trust the results. Ask Michael Cohen. Or any of the other idiots that use a chatbot to write a court brief.
  20. It's just been flurries so far (maybe 2") but supposed to get heavier as the day progresses. They cancelled school! Damn I remember back in the '70's when the governor shut the whole state down for three days and it wasn't until being told that bus drivers going to work would be arrested that the Superintendent decided to close the schools
  21. They could be good for some swag. I edited an ask to you about them in another thread, but I think you posted moments after my response. I've got to say their shipping is on point! And the straps/shoes look just what I wanted.
  22. I was hoping to install some new spring clamps from Billet 4x4 in Tulsa on the front of my truck today, but the weather isn't cooperating.☚ī¸ One of my leaves has shifted and I think it catches on the rear boss going over bumps. Either that or the shop that didn't do my clutch right back in March also didn't get the cross member tight. 😡
