  1. I forgot to say that I think I have plenty of documentation on how do the jobs I'm doing. In most cases I have the FSM, but in this case I also have Borg Warner's manual - both on our page on t-cases in Driveline.
  2. I will admit that I'm a bit nervous. And mostly in getting things like the old bearings and seals out w/o hurting the case halves. The two big ball bearings came out pretty easily by tapping with a plastic-tipped mallet. But the little needle bearing is yet to yield. As for the seals, one down and two to go. Made the seal pusher shown on the left and found the piece of tubing on the right that will receive the seal in the press. Back in a bit....
  3. 9E724 WIRE ASSY. (THROTTLE MODULATOR CONTROL)-also refer to group 14305 80/ F250/350 — w/unleaded fuel 6 300 EOTZ 9E724-B #E0TB-BA,BB
  4. Interesting! I've inserted them here so they are captured, then saved them to OneDrive/Ford Trucks/Website/Electrical/Radios as Antenna Layout Instructions 1 and 2. And, I've added a note in the Forum & Website Upgrades spreadsheet to add them to a page. Thanks!
  5. I don't know what that fits as that part number is not in the 1994 version of the MPC. It looks like one for the 300/4.9L and I'm guessing that it fits the 1984 DRW as it shows to take an E9PZ 8501-C, which is clearly a replacement. But, I do not know.
  6. I missed that! Ok, good! I really don't recommend drilling new holes as they are almost assuredly not going to be reinforced like the factory holes are. So I'm glad they are making a bracket to use to original holes.
  7. Yep, 71. And, the Chiefs are gonna win!!!! (I hope.) On the wiring, depending on where you connect the white/light blue to the red/light green you may bypass the resistor and you will be running battery voltage to the coil at all times. And the coil will overheat and fail. I'd check to see that it isn't wired correctly and, if not, choose a spot on the r/lg wire such that you don't bypass the resistor. As for the air cleaner, I once had an air cleaner that didn't fit properly so I know it happens. But the only part I'm aware of that would fix it would be another bottom. However, yours is probably the light weight aluminum bottom and those are hard to find as they frequently cracked. I don't think I have an extra, but will look.
  8. Don't know what the end price will be, but it is a run of the mill DS-II module.
  9. Didn't we just do this? Anyway: 83/87 F150/350 All E3TZ 7641—B Adjustable
  10. That's interesting. This is from what you posted for me on the Thermactor thread previously.... Gotta love the very confusing system they used.... Link to the thermactor thread.... http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/#nabble-f37561 Boy, am I confused! Apparently there's an error in the MPC. But, we don't know which ID # is the one that cross references to the part number. Tomorrow I'll check the cross reference and see if I can figure it out.
  11. Thanks. Yes, it is a nice workstation and the t-case seems to be in good shape. In fact, when I showed my wife that pic of the t-case she made a similar comment about how clean it is. Having said that, the outside is pretty messy. So the effort tomorrow will be to clean the outside, not the inside.
  12. I should have said that the ID # is important since many people advertise that instead of the part #.
  13. That's a good find, but the thermactor valve may prove very hard to find. Do you have the part number?

  16. I see what you are saying, and I hope that the bracket does indeed bolt to the factory holes. But I've not seen anything from TMI that says they will fit the factory holes. Have you?
  17. Don't miss the edit. I'd forgotten the crucial snippet on the bottom.
  18. Got the t-case something like 95% apart. Just need to get the seals and bearings out. Then I'll run the case halves through the parts washer and start reassembly. Tomorrow. And I only had one minor problem. One case bolt twisted off immediately as I was pulling them out. Turns out it had fractured some time ago and had only a very tiny amount of metal holding it together. But once the cases were apart it came out with vice grips. Note how clean this thing is! I'm surprised and pleased. Just the bearings and seals and it'll be good to go.
  19. This shows all I can tell you about the blocks for the 300 as all I know is what I read in the MPC. But note that there are no casting numbers. Oops, posted too quickly. You can look up the calibration codes here: Calibration Info & Part #'s. EDIT: I forgot the very last snip. It is there now.
  20. Yep, according to Creeque Alley: When Cass was a sophomore, planned to go to Swarthmore But she changed her mind one day As for what I'm into now, it is time for the t-case rebuild. Here's what the workstation looks like, with: New parts, meaning gaskets, seals, bearings, and double-cardon front yoke on the left Dirty BW1345 in the middle Special Tool: That's a 1 1/4" socket on top, which is the size of the nuts on the output shafts. However, that thing measured 1.730" OD and the recess in the yokes measures 1.670" ID and .900 deep. So he took a few spins in the lathe and came out measuring 1.650" on the last 1.0". IPad: Got to thinking that I'll want to be following the either the FSM's or Borg-Warner's instructions, both of which we have on the Transfer Case page, but I don't want to have to come back to the computer for each step. Then it dawned on me that we have an OLD iPad that we initially set up for the g-kids, replete with a pretty serious rubber case. But, it is sooooo old and slooooow that no one wanted to use it. So, now to get dirtier! (Got dirty just carrying the thing in. )
  21. Yes, thanks for sharing! I hope you'll document it here so we can follow along. And I love the father/son projects. LOVE IT!

  23. Sounds good, Jim. Swarthmore - makes me think of Momma Cass.
