  1. After my 'accident' in 1984, I worked at Westinghouse, selling time on their satellites. The full halon systems there would snuff you if you didn't make it out the door in time. 💀
  2. It doesn't affect aluminum, in my experience. But it turns iron oxide (red) to clear iron oxylate...
  3. Oxalic acid (wood bleach) will eliminate all traces of 'rust'...
  4. And that's the reason test cells are bulletproof.... 😱
  5. Weasels are in high demand. You could flip it when you're done with it, for a tidy profit. 💡
  6. Hi George! No, it will not bolt up. 300/4.9 shares a bell pattern with the Windsor engines. The 460 and Diesel patterns are close (one bolt off) but still not close enough to each other. Down to the flywheel & starter mostly.,
  7. Welcome Max! Gary will be by after church to ask if you'd like to b on our members map. (Just a zip code or town. We're not looking to doxx anyone.
  8. Jeez. Some people's kids... 🙄
  9. Right. So it's a semi-floater (light duty) 250... Which could explain the 302. 💡
  10. You need to check the FAQ for how to post a pic. How far do the rear hubs stick out?
  11. I drilled drains at the door pinch welds... Gary could see them because of the blue kiddie pool underneath
  12. And how big do you think a 1/4 npt thread is????
  13. My truck has the stake holes covered by my lumber rack. It's just a mist of crap off the road Like I said, I cut a few big holes so it can flush out.
  14. At a good price. It's big enough that it shouldn't get loud unless you really get in it. 😉
  15. I see it myself every day. I used to watch Eric until he became just an obnoxious babbling know it all. I have to say he is a very good mechanic and diagnostician, but I don't have the patience for him dragging it out to hit that 30 minute or hour long watch time. He already makes enough from his videos, swag and patreons
  16. Not rear sump is really weird. You can tell 302 from 351 by looking at the water pump on the driver's side. If it's right up on the head seam it's a 302. If there's like 5/8-3/4" then it's a 351 But there were never EFI 351's in these trucks, so that's a tell right there
  17. Welcome Phillip! We're here to help! 302 in a 250 isn't very common. I assume you have the semi float axle n fewer than 8 lug nuts?
  18. This one is all welded stainless steel. It doesn't have rolled edges to rot out. Dual 2 1/2 in 3" out, 22" long. https://www.bearriverconverters.store/products/jones-mf2588-muffler-no-stock
  19. The problem with wheel arches is that the inner metal support closes off the whole area. Mud and salt sit in the rolled edge where the outer body attaches. While the arch is open take a hole saw big enough for a hose to fit so you can flush it out and drill a couple of holes up into the void. Periodically spray some oil in there to wick into the seam (and keep water out)
  20. Depends on what you do with it. By changing the length you can essentially increase or decrease Ackerman. You say "touchy", but the steering box is x turns lock to lock regardless... The pump can't change how many times you turn the wheel (and by extension, how much a small deflection in the wheel causes the truck to turn) This is basic math and the pump has nothing to do with it. The assist the pump gives will make the wheel lighter or heavier. If your truck is "touchy" bring it back to the alignment shop and tell them to do it right this time. 😠
  21. One thing to note, in the EVTM only the circuit you're investigating is shown. Connector 'C123' may have R/O/Y on the fuel pump circuit, and on a totally different page 'C123' may reappear with G/B/P on the tail light circuit. Both are C123, but 123 is a six wire connector with two distinct circuits running through it.... Jeff is good to point out that the connector bodies are also shown.
  22. That thing has rolled seams, like a can of beans. The one I bought was 14-15 Ga and has domed ends welded on.
  23. It's also probably longer than your entire '78 Bronco. I bought something that would fill the gap between stock head pipes and the sprung hanger on my truck.
  24. Bear River has a good selection of mufflers, converters and fittings.
