  1. I have some experience with Surface. If I were to buy a Win 10 convertible right now I would go with the Lenovo X1, Samsung Galaxy TabPro or the Dell 5285 tablets. Imo Microsoft missed the ball with its latest iterations.
  2. I *do* know the door -opening- and front glass will fit across 1980-1996.
  3. I do not know if a '95 is the same as your 1980 truck, but if it is, tell me which side, and how far down the A pillar, back along the rain gutter, and across the top of the windscreen you need.
  4. '90 is my body style, but my truck shares most of what's under the skin with bullnose trucks. What color is the interior? I suppose I could use an uncracked dash pad (the soft part across the top of the glovebox) A decent drivers side seat belt. Maybe the cowl, and the facia below the grille and headlights.
  5. I fixed my wipers. Which is a good thing since it poured this afternoon. Used Lil' Red to help my MIL move the last of her stuff from storage to her apartment. About two truck fulls in between bands of rain. Went to Home Depot to get a few totes for Gary and Bill's stuff. Some strong zip ties to hold them closed, and a little plastic box for my 3/8 ratchet set. (that I ran over in the dark last night when leaving the plant) I need to go cut the truck into pieces so it can dissappear, but I think it best to flatbed it out of there first. Oh, ETA. I ordered a set of beltline window seals to replace the crumbling ones on my truck.
  6. Thanks for your reply David. I'll check or change my settings when I get back to my tablet
  7. Happens when I open a thread. It corrects itself once I reply. (This is on my tablet, not my phone)
  8. This morning I get a cascading (stair stepping?) list of all posts in a thread. I am replying to this one because it is my only option.
  9. Yeah, there are no radius arms on a 250. We are going to get a few inches of rain and 30-40 mph winds today. If I had a place to work I'd be inside cleaning and sorting parts. Right now I'm going to go see what it's going to take to get my wipers working
  10. (Edit, because i dont know how to read from the beginning) Just put some kind of frame back there and slag bag it. If it were me, I think I would pull the front sheetmetal and prop up the E4OD. Unbolt the flexplate and pull the engine by itself. The 460 is heavy enough, I can't imagine what it weighs *with* the tranny, but I know i wouldn't want all that swinging on my cherrypicker.
  11. I went back to 'my' truck tonight and set to work. I drained the oil. Got Bill his wiper motor. Got Gary the crank serpentine pulley. Managed to take out the upper crossmember braces (but not the upper bolts) And tried like hell to budge those radiator support mounts. Two days with pb blaster on them. Tonight I brought my 32" breaker bar *and* 3 fresh 5Ah 20V batteries for the impact gun. It's just not happening. If it were not in the situation it's in, I would cut or torch them off, but the plant is open 24/7 during the week so I didn't want to overstep my bounds.
  12. Wallops Island is a NASA sounding rocket facility in coastal Virginia.
  13. I'm going to post the really nice slave and my 0-08452s Holley in the parts for sale thread. Time to get this engine thread back on track.
  14. Doh, I just had Maryland on the mind. I meant to say that I would go with the Maryland group down to Wallops. I'll make another trip after work to get the crank pulley, wiper motor, rad support hardware, and free up the tranny cross member braces. Also unbolt the hood so things are easy when the wrecker comes to lift it out. I'm going to have to clean some of this stuff up. The fuel lines especially, before I box and ship it.
  15. No, I think I'm good. My wiper motor has a habit of stalling when used for prolonged time. I'm going to get to the bottom of this, and I don't want to add another random factor.
  16. My PMGR is only 40A to pull in and 13A to hold. I would hope a Ford style relay could handle it. I have a few 40A Hella 'Bosch style' cubes that could handle it...
  17. You're very welcome Gary. I'm glad to know that this truck's pieces are going to make other trucks better instead of being torn into little shreds by the big ugly machine.
  18. You know, around here we have a saying 'It's better to be looking at it than looking for it' Think of all the nice color coded wires and pretty connectors you will have when you unwrap the loom and pick through it. Oh, I did get the Zf plug 'leg' for you. Do you want the factory ground cable and PMGR starter harness? I think I call dibs on the Motorcraft fender relay. Unless you *really* want it.
  19. If it wasn't for you and Bill I would have flipped the truck on its side with the wheel lift and fired up the cutoff saw to sever the engine crossmember. . . . . Really!
  20. Well.... One step closer to a short block. This is an awful lot of work for just a chunk of iron.
  21. This is a Super Duty truck, so no cat. No power steering switch. If fact, I'm not sure of all the changes from a truck under 12k gvw. For Bill, I'm sorry but there is no fuse panel door with the dash. It was not in the truck when I got it. Shouldn't be too hard to pick one up.
  22. ALL THE WIRING HARNESS is taking up a whole other tote. Maybe these totes are a good way to ship this stuff to Podunk? We still have to figure that out. For sure, I cannot ship an entire dashboard to Maryland. I used to go launch rockets out there with MDRA.
  23. The fuel lines -back past the filter- are attached to Gary's manifold. I didn't pull the fuel rails or any sensors off. I didn't have the tool and didn't want to cut with my angle grinder, as I had it running a couple of days ago. I still ended up with a lap full of gas when I cut them at the back of the cab. I need to find my quick release tool or get another when I go to get a new socket.
  24. Well, I'm done for the night. I just wrapped cardboard around the radiator and condenser. Everything is free, except Gary's upper cross member braces. Because I broke the 18mm short socket on the motor mounts. Bill, I'll try to get the shims and washers. And the wiper motor. (Mine is dead as of this morning) Why? IDK. I need to wrap this up because I'm taking a cutoff saw to it so it can scrap without a title (as *parts*)
