  1. You better get to work Dave.... Project 11 second Gremlin awaits! As for what I did. My weather strip came in. (It's made. In Taiwan) I figured out the ground problem with the boat I cleaned, sorted and wrapped more parts. Bills pile grows.
  2. Ok I have a fresh blade in my cutoff saw. I hope to get it done soon
  3. Hmmmm Well, that's what cutoff discs and mig welders are for.
  4. So right side, halfway back, 6" down the A pillar and how far in across the roof? I can try to cut it too big, and always make it smaller for shipping. How does one ship parts to the bottom of the Earth? Post? DHL? What's it worth to you? We should probably have that discussion by email but this is Gary's forum, so he makes the rules, not like FTE
  5. Okay, you have the complete setup, except the AC compressor that is going to Bill.
  6. Wait. So now you want the alternator and cast air pump bracket from the right side too? I thought you said not going to go serpentine? I hope it's all still there. I'll get over too the plant within the hour.
  7. No 3G in '90. They didn't start until '92 for the '93 m.y.
  8. Let me get all the parts sorted and binned. Then I'll tally everything as I try to even out the weight between bins. Figure out with Bill, who gets the 3G harness. I'm going to send you all the fasteners except the interior ones that I put in my sandwich box as the dash & ductwork came out.
  9. No, no. I was trying to say that I am not being as methodical as I would like, but sometimes the cutoff disc wins out. I'm here sorting Bills stuff from yours and trying to bundle like with like, so it makes some sense. I had rewired the pump from the new battery box all the way to the NOS Mercury Quicksilver trim switch in the shifter. Everything was good, but now it only wants to go up (in either position) Tested the handle. Proved the switch and the front half of my wiring. Now I guess I have to lay on my back and trouble shoot the solenoid pack on the pump.
  10. Ok, so I'm keeping the starter because mine is beginning to make noise. Thinking of using the exhaust from the SuperDuty on my truck so I have a bung and can install an Innova wideband. Gary, your Zf plug is not appearing. I *know* I got it when I went back for the cross braces, so I *will* find it once I clear some of this stuff out. Hope to get the PS pump and manifold cleaned up today and then I will tote everything down to FedEx. Maybe I can just put a sticker on the crossmember. No point in boxing that.
  11. "Early" 460's and some later ones -like mine- had mechanical pumps but Hot Fuel Handling was an option when the 460 returned to trucks for the 1983 m.y. This is the exact setup you just described.
  12. Welcome to the forum Tim! As already mentioned make sure the synchro's are letting it get all the way into gear and the detents are not burred. Popping out of gear under power and on trailing throttle are different conditions so don't go chasing your tail. The 351C is a fine engine that we didn't see enough of here in the States. In fact the only ones I've ever driven were in my friends Panteras. Not sure what the parts situation is down in Australia but I have a 600 cfm Holley on offer in the 'buy, sell, trade' section and will have a 650 Edelbrock on there soon (I hope)
  13. Last call! Please tell me what you need, because I'm going to roll the truck over and chop it to bits. If I have to remove the clearance lights for someone else, it will only take seconds to get the piece you want.
  14. Unlike my slash & burn techniques. Yesterday I spent a few hours sorting, cleaning and wrapping parts. I did *no* cleaning of harnesses.... Got the pump pulley off so I could remove it from the bracket. (Gary, do you want the tensioner assy? ) Bought a full set of garter clip removal tools and now have Bill's fuel lines off the rails and cleaned up. Reassembled my engine stand. Hopefully today is the day to pull the engine, gearbox and Gary's crossmember. I also have to sort out the trim pump solenoids on the boat. (this is related because the truck is used to launch it) Need to go up to the airport with a drum and pick up 50 gallons of 101 'blue' at the prop hanger on the back side of the field. Having a pilot friend works out sometimes.
  15. You're doing great Dave. That is a lot of work! I kinda hope that Gremlin has wheelie bars.
  16. Gary, don't all 'Hot Fuel" 460's get the fuel vapor separator? Otherwise, I don't know what all those 3-port cans in the carburetor are all about. I do understand the red, blue, white color codes thanks to Subford.
  17. Heat the wire with a torch and when red hot melt your way through. No way of risking damage trying to predrill a hole. I'm going to be replacing my window weatherstrips in 2 days according to tracking.
  18. I think everything you want is now well within the capabilities of tablet devices. Digitizers differ. Some tablets come with a keyboard and stylus. For that matter some of the convertibles like the yoga just flip the keyboard around and *become like* a tablet. But you probably don't want the bulk, slight as it may be. It's really hard to keep up with the technology race. Stuff beyond science fiction is the new normal every day.
  19. Look up 'Boot Camp' for information on running 'Doze as a VM on an Apple device.
  20. The bumper is a little much for me, though I may know someone... The guy I got the F-450 from I really need to keep my truck looking 'stockish'. Zombie apocalypse rigs have no place among the Gentry here on the gold coast. And they are the ones that employ me.
  21. I understand *why* I don't understand why you can't run Windows as a virtual machine, but what do I know? The competition has blown past Microsoft wrt hardware imo. Better keyboards, screens, stylus, ports, batteries, etc, ad infinitum. What's your price point? What processor and graphics 'card' do you want or need? Are you going to be doing cfd on a tablet?
  22. Well, I screwed up yesterday when I bought quick disconnect tools thinking 5/16 return and 3/8 feed. I need to go get 1/2 & 5/8 this morning.
  23. After deciding to upgrade my engine, and finding a donor I'm looking to sell a few parts I won't need. I'm going to limit this to small items that can fit in a USPS box so there are no surprises. First off there is a Holley 0-08457-s. This carb has a new 12V choke cap and brass floats. Blue gaskets, a throttle damper and Ford style ball cable stud. There is no kickdown linkage. I went through it when I decided to go to an Edelbrock 650 Thunder Series. THAT will be for sale when I swap in the built engine. I also have a late model external clutch slave cylinder. This has the heat reflective boot and braided stainless steel hose. Also a nice pair of stock 460 valve covers Other tidbits are sure to follow as is winnow through the bins.
