  1. Keep in mind that Cooper "Discoverer" is a whole line of tires. There's LT (light truck), HT (highway traction), AT (all terrain), ST (snow traction), RT (road & trail), MT (mud terrain), SRX, STT, etc... https://www.coopertire.com/en_US/tires/by-vehicle/truck-pickup
  2. Famous last words of any project. Bracket does look booger welded top and bottom. I imagine first order of the day is finding a junkyard truck to scavenge stock bumper and brackets from.
  3. What language does your Lyft driver speak? I'm constantly amazed at how dangerously worn/broken vehicles are driven on the road. While a lot of people will rail against safety inspections, before my leg went bad I would see the aftermath of neglect and ignorance every night. It's terrifying
  4. With the energy that impeller is harvesting it's little wonder the housing and pipes get screaming hot. I'm not going to rehash trying to explain it to Rusty, because I know you know... Turbos do make an effective mufflerπŸ˜‰ The whole "Loud pipes save lives" crowd don't seem to get that sound (pressure waves) is just energy wasted on the environment. It's not just flow that drives the turbine. If the turbo's shaft were well instrumented you could actually see the power pulses.
  5. Glad to hear it's "just" cataracts... (like ANY eye problem is "just"!!!) I've had more than my share of scratched corneas, UV burns and debris removal thank you very much! Funny they feel they need to explain the laser, without explaining it at all! πŸ˜‚ I can't stand that kind of stuff. Edit: yittrium, aluminum, garnet for those that are wondering...
  6. You just need the float switch to make ground. You can tie it in anywhere going to the same wire as the parking brake. πŸ’‘
  7. So I can play with that this afternoon after my eye surgery - assuming I can see well enough. Oh no Gary! I hope it's nothing serious. My little brother has been a week now recovering from a detached retina. (they had to drain the humor and install a balloon)
  8. I can attest that cutting off the flow makes a HUGE difference! This obviously means that I need to fix all my foam door seals...
  9. The yellow sticker on the valve cover has the ewissions calibration data. With that, we can provide specifics about levels and exact part numbers . Perhaps you'll find this manual helpful? https://www.garysgaragemahal.com/understanding-emissions-controls.html
  10. How is it attached? Could you go back to a stock bumper? Could you cut this one down with a torch or plasma cutter?
  11. It hailed pretty good for an hour or so this afternoon. Things in general are cooler after the front moved through. πŸ‘
  12. Push bumpers are nice for plowing the yard. No off-roading* with an approach angle like that!
  13. Beautiful sky Bob! Haven't seen anything like that since the spate of forest fires a few years ago. Hope you both enjoyed the fair.
  14. Yes, the 6.3 & 6.9 have a single cold start enrichment injector, that if it gets stuck...... All in all I really liked the Bosch fully mechanical injection systems. Did your customer have the flag brackets on the front bumper? (diplomatic model) So the Penofin hydraulic system was contaminated with glycol fluid? That's a right PITA to flush clean. Surprised that seals and diaphragms were available!
  15. I think the brake fluid warning light plug on the side is different. If you're getting yours from a JY cut the plug with plenty of pigtail.... πŸ’‘
  16. 3rd shift at the same factory... They can probably afford four free clamps because they're not even paying for the brass to cast it! I've got a hundred mile drive at 0-dark-30 in the morning. I'll see if the cab is cooler on the ride to town.
  17. You're doing just fine here, Will! πŸ™‚ That somebody shall remain unmentioned, but I will say that they've been banned by almost every forum that's ever dealt with Bronco's. In fact, the admin of another forum actually joined here to post warning about his combative behavior.
  18. Yes, the clamps will come undone completely, so that you can fit them over an existing connection. πŸ‘ Will, you have to try one of the old Mercedes limos that have hydraulic everything! Why is there brake fluid pouring out of the rear passenger door??? (The window motor has sprung a leak -OF COURSE!-)
  19. I'm not sure why you'd need to mess with it. Maybe have the secondaries come on a little stronger since the Bronco is so light, but I have 4.10's so it may be just fine. πŸ‘ As they say "suck it and see!"
  20. Try the Norma style embossed hose clamps, Will. I've never had a problem with the screw or the radiused edges cutting into the hose. πŸ‘ They were Mercedes OEM back in the '60's-70's. At least that's where I first encountered them)
  21. . Like I "need" another hole in my head!
  22. Scott has uploaded a couple of Dyno pulls to his YouTube channel the past week Man, I wish I had one of those engines.
  23. I once bought a '60's Dodge Powerwagon masons dump that had been owned by a cemetery. It was never titled or registered. With 100k that 300 should be in fine shape!
  24. And then we have members like Bob, Dane & myself who don't have any Bullnose truck. The point of NOT automating it, is that a prospect needs to do the legwork... or I don't want to be bothered with them.
