  1. Thanks Ray! Great weather to be out enjoying the bike!
  2. Good deal. Guess one shouldn't say 'definitely not' Wasn't thinking about the Bronco having rear speakers... You're sure it's the seatbelt buzzer? Does it buzz briefly and then go silent? I may have missed it but what is wrong with the green/yellow wire?
  3. I do every so often or at least what sounds similar. It makes me click something like 'Load More' or 'Show More' at the bottom to load each reply one at a time which is slow going on some threads. Also on Android. Custom 10 Rom.
  4. Hey Gary - if no one beats me to it, I know I've got some that no one would shed a tear over cutting. They are at my parents so will grab the the next time there if still needed.
  5. Noted - no help That's a sharp looking one no doubt. I must say though that I am a fan of the trailer. Drive over fenders and support jacks at the rear. Great features to have!
  6. Glad to have you! Add a photo of your bronco when you get a chance.
  7. Here is what I am referring to on the cargo light elimination. It looks like the part I have red X'd out is a jumper circuit so you can disconnect both ends of it and then the other two ends with the green arrows can connect directly together. This is similar to how the speed control is added in.
  8. I am not positive on what that 2 prong connector with the pink/Gr(?) is. The only place I recall pink/gr is on the power lock circuit. That connector isn't the same as a pickup seatbelt one and kind of looks like what I recall the speaker connectors as looking like but definitely not those. I'd need to trace that one back to know what it is for. I could see it plugging into the back of a light fixture but am not seeing that color match any lights in the evtm. Could it be part of the tailgate power window? The seatbelt circuit is 'Open With Belt Buckled' so you would need to prevent the connection from being made. Do you see a Brown/Light Blue wire anywhere? It will be coming from the drivers kick panel like the rest of what you are looking at.
  9. The seatbelt connector is actually on the latch side at the very bottom where it bolts to the floor of the cab. Is there a connector there still connected? It's a thin, 2 prong connector.
  10. Subscribed as I've never heard of this. Could you add a photo of the relevant section on the report and the window sticker? Would be interesting to see. This on the 84 or 86?
  11. For the seatbelt buzzer what about just disconnecting the connector at the bottom of the drivers seat belt? I haven't ever looked at the wiring for a Bronco until now so still trying to make sense of the 'only' situations but it appears at the bottom of the B pillar there is an add-in circuit (C202 and C202A) that you can eliminate and that would remove the cargo lamp. Additionally, I wouldn't cut any wires myself. Either remove a connector if a dedicated harness or remove the wire and pin from the connector. This allows you to cleanly add it back if ever desired.
  12. There is a raised platform that contains the middle screw hole for the A-pillar trim. On either side of that platform it appears there is a decent amount of dead space between the pillar and the trim that would allow potential reinforcement. Rivnuts also came to my mind when looking at it as there is enough space inside the A-pillar to accept them. Just like over the door, hard to know how much flex will be present. A lot of that will be determined by the angle of the handle coming out from the pillar. I am wondering if a "shell" the full length of the A-pillar all the way up to the sunvisor attachment point is needed (with a cutout for the existing raised platform). At the bottom it could curve a ways into the middle of the truck beneath the windshield and attach in pre-existing holes. That may be overkill but having the reinforcement span over more than just the A-pillar would alleviate potential twisting where it was never meant to be. Just my thoughts
  13. Welcome and great looking truck! Those dog dish hubcaps look great. While adding more photos as the project continues, I don't think anyone would hate you for sneaking in a few more of what you have stored in your garage
  14. I was out working on the 86 this evening and thinking about this. I see now that Bill beat me to it but after looking over the A pillar and picturing the angles, I think over the door is a great solution. You could drill through the metal trim piece where the retaining clips are as the mounting points. Replace the trim clips with (not sure the name for these but akin to a drop in slot T Nut?) long rectangular "nuts" that fit in the slots and then rotate when tightening down. Hard to know what kind of flex will be seen without actually doing it though. Bill - now that I know you've already got something setup like this, please do add some photos of it installed and if possible how it hooks in.
  15. You bet. I am not actually sure what it came from. I cut a few harnesses like this from the jy this past spring as I was making a modular adapter to add a relay into the circuit so needed a good male/female setup to reverse. So it was just going around finding connectors that looked good to dissect and find the best one when back home. Sounds like you've got a good plan.
  16. Cheaper to buy it from here https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Ford-Wire-Harness-Conn-Electronic-Ignition-Module-p/a20841.htm I'd use that one and trim it to fit the socket. I think I found the correct one awhile back, but haven't seen it this round. Good find Clifton. Shaun - let me know if you want any part of that one before I throw it back in the 'harness' box.
  17. David's findings look like a winner to me. Worst case if the new mirror isn't any good you might be able to harvest the ball and put it in yours. It's not unusual for the ball swivels on the Type 9 mirrors to get rusty or green although I haven't personally had any snap off. Going just off of your photo it appears the swivels may be the same so if by chance you had a local jy and you were attached to the mirrors you have you could do some surgery on a Type 9 and see if they are a match. Also, just for future reference - if you click the 'Insert Image' button it will show your images inline vs opening a new window.
  18. I've never had a truck without gauges so not sure what all is needed for the swap. I could pull some of the harness next time I am at the jy but would need the specifics.
  19. How much are you looking for? The dash harness goes out on each side all the way to the headlights.
  20. High Tack. That's it. Just something to hold it in place while you finagle it up there.
  21. That's not too shabby all things considered - there is already a cutout there so looks like they just enlarged it. I was looking for a wiring issue also and was thinking that was the cleanest PO wiring I'd ever seen Truck is looking great!
  22. I replaced the one on my 80 400 a month ago and it came with 2 also. Figured it was a mistake so just tossed the extra. On the gasket I used something someone recommend awhile back - 'tacky' something but rtv would work just as well.
