  1. Do you have a MAP gas torch or another way to heat it so you can bend it?
  2. I'm no A/C expert, but you really should pull a vacuum on the system before filling it with 134A. This checks to see if there are leaks, and it removes any moisture. If you can do or have that done then I'd go with that condenser. That way if it leaks you'll know, but if it doesn't you haven't spent extra money.
  3. You made a lot more progress than I thought you would. Won't be long until you are ready to install it. I think you'll really enjoy that engine. GOOD LUCK!!!!
  4. We need an "accountant" that would keep track of the prices that Bullnose trucks are selling for in various parts of the country. It would help us figure out what part of the country to buy from and when a really good deal comes along. Also, it would let us know if our beloved trucks are appreciating in value.
  5. It is amazing to me how dogs love to be in the back of trucks. Wives, not so much. Anyway, it certainly is the little things that make us smile. Well done!
  6. I have the brace that Jonathan sent with the pump and bracket Came from an E350.
  7. Bill - Thanks for those pics. I do see the brace on the 460, but not the others. However, I also see that the van had a remote reservoir that was apparently connected to a cap with a nipple. Right? So, with the right cap and reservoir I could mount it wherever I have room - assuming that reaching the cap on the pump itself isn't going to happen easily.
  8. I've seen a crescent-shaped hole there that didn't connect to anything, but not a round one. But, as Bill says, if it doesn't connect to anything there's no problem. As for the casting numbers, they are on the bottom of a small-block head and are essentially impossible to see w/o pulling the heads.
  9. Nice score on the grille guard! Any one try to install nutserts with out the tool? A little looking on Youtube and I think I could install with out the tool. So I gave it a try and got the 2 I needed to install, installed. The side panels were on & off, on & off and repeat a few times all to get bolt holes to line up by making holes a little bigger as needed. Now with all the on & off I may have hurt 1 of the nutserts. Don't know if the bolt was not long enough and pulled the threads out or it is spinning? The sides will be off at least 1 more time if I am lucky but I think it will more than that and I will check it out then. I am still waiting for the tail gate and other parts my brother is sending me. Till then I will fit the left fender on and see what is needed to get the filler necks to work. Dave ---- I installed the nutserts on my '72 w/o the tool. And they held fine for several years. I drilled the right sized holes and they went in tightly, and the bolts were the right lengths. You can always put nuts on the backside with washers.
  10. Made some changes to the website today. (Not the forum, but the larger website.) First, I created a new Picture Galleries section and put the following in it: 1983 Bronco Survivor: 46 pics 1984 Bronco XLT: 85 pics 1985 F-150 Survivor: 82 pics Big Blue: 28 pics Dad's Truck: This also has sub-pages with info on the engine, seats, etc. Rusty: Several pics of the resurrection of this '81 F150. Some may question why those aren't in the forum Pictures section, but the answer is simple - it is FAR easier to put them in picture galleries on the website since I can upload a whole folder full of pics with one click there. Instead, on the forum it takes several clicks per pic. Then I added a page on the shroud that goes around the exhaust manifold to bring heat to the air cleaner at: Fuel Systems/Air Cleaners/Hot Air Shroud. And, I added the rebuild instructions for the NP208 on the Driveline/Transfer Case page. Unfortunately I missed two pages when I was scanning, so I hope to fix that problem tomorrow.
  11. Isn't that such a good feeling when things work "right"!? And, you did it? I it soooooo good. Well done.
  12. I don't know the OD of the 302 or 351's throttle bodies, but those for a 460 are 2 3/8". As for the 460 unicorn,
  13. WOW!!! That is COOL! I like the wrecker. And the Blue Point/Standard Motor Products parts cabinets, like the two I have. And the parts. And the manuals. AND........
  14. The catalog appears to say that regular, super, and crew cab trucks all used the same mounts. So, if you can confirm that by measuring Darth's I would appreciate it.
  15. Are you saying my site doesn’t have what you want? Maybe I misunderstood. Part numbers for crew cab? Maybe I can add them from the parts catalog. But measurements would be great.
  16. Bill - What I have on the website is here: Suspension & Steering/Body Mounts. See if that answers the question. And, by the way, I found it by scrolling to the bottom of the page and typing "mounts" in the Google Custom Search line.
  17. I agree with Bill. Having two diodes is not a bad thing. Having no diodes is. Leave it in and don't worry about it.
  18. I hope they get back w/you quickly. However, I forgot to respond to your last post. When I asked about "load" on the regulator I meant was it connected to the gauges? Some regulators won't come down to their lower limits w/o some load on them. And the only load that regulator would have would be the gauges themselves. Not the lights in the instrument cluster, but the gauges.
  19. Yes, except there will be a 20 ohm resistor between the switch and the wiring harness that has to be bypassed. The link a few posts back talks about how to do that if I remember.
  20. Regarding the "repeatable and consistent route"... I was cleaning out my bill fold and found the last 3 gasoline receipts for the Pontiac Aztec and the 3 tanks returned: 21.17, 20.91 & 21.38 mpg. Assuming that all three fillups took the same amount of gas, that's an average of 21.15 MPG, with a deviation of .09%, 1.1%, & 1.1%. Extremely close!
  21. Wow! That's hot! Luckily I don't have to run EGR. However, as I think about it, I wonder where these vehicles might wind up - meaning in what state. Some of those would require EGR, so perhaps I was remiss in cutting that tube. Especially since I'm toying with going with shorty headers - assuming someone makes them for the EFI heads.
