  1. Here's another shot. Looks like the edges of the casting are off. Is that an issue?
  2. It is properly advertised. The MPC says: 85/86 F150/250 - - all 6 & 8 cyl. non-EFI gas engines E5TZ 9275-H Use w/17 gal. - one tube midship tank - includes (1) E1VZ 9417—B gasket
  3. If you don't have a vacuum advance distributor you probably want to do a DS-II conversion. Or, go with a one-wire dizzy. Go to the Ignition Simplification tab on the page at Documentation/Electrical/Ignition. Unfortunately we don't have the DS-II option fleshed out there, but the one-wire is. To do the DS-II conversion you'll need a dizzy with vacuum advance for your engine. But, before you buy one you should decide if you are going to run EGR or not. The reason is that a dizzy set up for EGR will have lots of advance built in when the vacuum is high, and that will probably cause pinging. So you need the right dizzy for which way you go. And you'll need the DS-II harness from an earlier truck or aftermarket. Plus you'll need the DS-II module, which will have a blue grommet where the wires go in.
  4. Shawn - You are on the map. And, I like your sig. Thanks. We (I?) like to say that these trucks are onions. We peel layers off and cry, but soon we have enough to have onion rings. Or, in some cases like Big Blue, we have a Bloomin' Onion.
  5. This forum, like many forums, is not smart enough to read the orientation info in the metadata on a pic. So any pic taken with any rotation will need to be opened and saved by an app. Usually the app will auto-rotate it and when you save it'll be oriented correctly. Usually.
  6. You are making progress! And, as Jim/ArdWrknTrk says, progress is good. The info we have on A/C systems is in Documentation/HVAC/HVAC systems. But, it doesn't look like there are part numbers. Sorry. Your best bet is to find a truck in a salvage with the whole system. In fact, you can pull the whole underhood system intact w/o breaking any connections. So if you find one that appears to still be charged you can bolt the whole thing in your truck. That would be far better than trying to build it a piece at a time.
  7. The Flareside beds changed as of 7/82 build dates. Prior to that they had 5 individual boards, and after that they had two (three?) pieces of plywood and most of the metal strips were on top of the boards.
  8. Wrong part number as 13450 is a tail light lens. But 16450 is the base PN for a running board kit. And E6TZ 16450-E is correct for 1980 - 86 F-Series regular cab trucks. So, assuming that what he has is that part number it should fit perfectly. But he doesn't have the "-E" in it and that's crucial as "E6TZ 16450-H" is for a Supercab.
  9. Not sure what you mean by the lower ball joint being adjustable. The top has an eccentric but I don't think the bottom usually does. Anyway, Ford's factory shop manual section on the front suspension is at Suspension & Steering/Front Suspension and then the Instructions tab. But this picture scares me! I don't see a jack stand and you have your legs under the truck. Please tell me there's a jack stand in use somewhere and I just can't see it?
  10. Thanks, Jim. And it works well on both my iPhone X and my Windows 10 tablet. In fact, on the iPhone it works in both landscape and portrait mode, where the old menu style only worked in landscape due to the width of it.
  11. "Pins"? Assuming this is on Jr, there aren't any pins are there? I would have thought an '82 had the caliper sliding on the bracket with the arched spring. If so, I take a file to the caliper and the bracket to ensure there are no high spots where they interface, and then I use the black yukky silicone brake grease on that spot. But, I will say that even then the calipers haven't moved very well. So I don't like that design and was happy that the D60 I got has the pins. Anyway, if I've misunderstood your question or what you are working on please sort me out.
  12. Yes, nice find! And, a nice truck. Has a 400. Shame it isn't 4wd. If I were ever to buy another Bullnose a Supercab would be on the list. My 8 year old granddaughter called from Nicaragua last night and in the conversation asked what projects we have going on. I told her that I've completely disassembled the old blue truck, and she asked if I'm going to add more seats.
  13. Welcome!!! Sounds like you have a good truck that needs some TLC. That's what most of us find when we buy one of them. I assume you know, but all the wiring diagrams for your truck are in the menu at Documenation/Electrical/EVTM's/1985 EVTM. Toano, VA. Would you like to be on our member's map? Right now it is at Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu, and I'd be happy to add you. Edit: And a signature that tells about your truck would help us help you. Plus, if you don't mind sharing your name we like to call each other by our first names. Seems more friendly.
  14. Tell me the chase car has a "Holman & Moody" in it and I'm afraid. My brother had an 80's Cobalt boat with a H & M 351W in it. We don't know what they did to the engine, but when he got it you couldn't use much throttle out of the hole or it would cavitate. He spend a lot of time and money and finally got a Michigan Wheel prop that had elephant ears for blades. But it didn't blow out. However, as things usually go, when you fix one thing the problem moves along the chain. With the new prop you still had to be careful with the throttle or you took the rope right out of the skier's hands. No one could hold on at full throttle out of the hole, and we had some pretty strong friends. So today that boat/engine is our benchmark. And I was pleased when I re-propped the Sea Ray and he said "That thing almost pulls as well as the Cobalt did!"
  15. Jim - Up means the menu tried to expand above the word Documentation, while down means it expands below it. Up doesn't work as there's no space there and all I saw was the bottom end of the menu. All - Keep those cards and letters coming in. I need to know if there are problems. And it would help if you told me if you are on a phone, tablet, or computer. That's because the menu will act differently on different widths of screen.
  16. Good to know, guys. Thanks. But I just had a weird bobble where it went up instead of down. Let's see what others say and how it works for a while longer.
  17. I can get a better pic tomorrow, but here 'tis enlarged:
  18. Ok guys, thanks! It looks like $450 is the typical asking price, and it should fetch more than $250. Shaun - Pretty sure that isn't corrosion, but can you point out where you are seeing something and I'll look more closely?
  19. In case you haven't been following along on the thread about this topic, the menu approach has changed. This is a trial to see how we like it. So I'd like you input.
  20. Yep. You missed me saying that several posts ago. The reason is that the first one gets lost under the menu. So I put in a second. Once we get the menu sorted out I can figure out what to do to get the first one to show. Speaking of the menu, I've been advised by Weebly that there isn't a menu like I/we want. And that is one that stays present and when you click on Documentation you get the one we have now, as shown below. It appears the best I can do is as shown below. I don't think we are going to like it, but let's give it a try. And, bear in mind that the hamburger will be shown on mobile devices. Please let me know what you think. Kindly!
  21. I pulled the bell housing off the T19 today and ran it through the parts washer. Pics below, but two questions: • What's it worth in this condition? • Would it be worth more if it was media-blasted? If so, how much more?
