  1. https://redding.craigslist.org/cto/d/lakehead-1986-250-4wd-factory-dually/7345512965.html Edit, don’t know what’s going on with the tach! And the gear indicator appears off or broken. Unless they’re backing up real fast!
  2. I wouldn’t change the clutch without checking pressures.
  3. Well, we’re as dry as can be. Fires popping up around us. Smoke was bad yesterday, a little better earlier, looking like it’s getting bad again. Not getting anything done on the vehicles. Mowed the yard yesterday and ended up coughing and hacking at days end. Maybe next week.
  4. My Bronco did that a couple years ago. It was a small leak and it took awhile to find it. It was on the Max A/C vacuum line. Mine did it under heavy acceleration.
  5. Nice job on making your tool to remove that clip! To me it does matter if it leaks from there. It’s not designed to leak IMO. They should be happy to answer questions. Keep asking, you’re only getting more knowledge. Good job!

  7. Nice! That shift boot turned out great! Good thinking!
  8. I used to go to the one junkyard almost every weekend to pull parts back then. I practically built my F150 using parts from that junkyard. Unfortunately last year they decided to get out of the U Pull It business, so there's no more access to that yard. And the junkyard that had the pretty blue and white extended cab shuttered after just six months because it was built in a low-lying area that completely flooded during hard downpours. I think there were concerns over runoff from the vehicles. I need to go to ours. I walked in there and found what I needed for my A/C on my truck. Plus a few extra items. This time I’ll grab a wagon, put my tools in it and stroll. Look for goodies for all my vehicles!
  9. Same. 2008-2010 seemed to be the golden years for me locally. I actually took some photos back then of the kind of trucks we had. It's a little depressing because of how complete some of these trucks were. The two-tone blue and light blue F150 shortbed was my donor for all of the Ranger Lariat parts I added to my 1980, and the blue and white extended cab donated that beautiful front bumper. Wish I could go back in time and grab a few more parts. https://live.staticflickr.com/6157/6135172904_3e374b92c6_b.jpg Wow! Cool pictures! I think I’d pop a circuit breaker if I walked in a junkyard and saw that!
  10. You could move your crankshaft and see how the rotor in the distributor responds. On my 460 it’s a 15/16 socket. Don’t know about your 302. Just thinking maybe something is amiss in the distributor. Might also check the pickup in the distributor.
  11. Ha! Yeah, I’m amazed at the info people leave out. They’ll post 25 pictures, yet none of the engine.

  13. All good points. But I will always side with 4WD because of where we live. But your 80 is a sweet ride!
  14. Super! That’s a great first drive!
  15. Cool! Nice to find stuff like that. I’d like to make a trip to our u pull it soon.
