If I want to find something about bullnoses, I come here. If I want to find something about my Bronco I go to FTE in the Bronco section. Same with the Suburban, I go to Automotive Forums, or try to find a smaller one. To me this is very specialized, you are always adding or improving this forum. That's a big workload. Would I come here if I sold my F250? Probably, because the way this forum is, is hard to find. Should anybody join, sure. Special sections for non bullnose, I don't think so. I would love to get a 70's 4WD pickup, I would use Fordification, and have while I have researched trucks while looking before I bought the bullnose. As I said before, I found the Garagemahal researching the VIN on my truck. And, as I said before, it is your website, do as you see fit. I hope this comes across OK, only my opinion.

I have used this LPS product with out harming things, but I will not say it is safe on your paint. https://www.lpslabs.com/product-details/594 But this is not always easy to get. Isopropyl alcohol mixed with water is one that I use. And I have found this Oil Eater to work good, kind of like a dry cleaning solvent. I use it to clean wheel bearings. http://oileater.com/industrial/cleaners-degreasers/original-formula/

I'm not sure, but you could run the hose to an empty coolant bottle to try.

Rear Bumper/Spare Tire Mount Thoughts

All kidding aside, I think that's good for the lighter end of the truck, especially off roading. -

Very cool! And the front end should be on the ground when you sit in it... -

"Drive Top" Hunting Bronco in South Texas
grumpin replied to Rembrant's topic in eBay, Craigslist, Facebook, & Kijiji Finds
Haha...I like the parts about being easy to make it street legal. Maybe in the USA, but there is no way that thing could be made street legal where I live...lol. Yeah, easy fix, easy to make street legal, bill of sale from 16 sales ago, no problem with DMV, blah, blah, blah... -

Wow! And I thought this was something! https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/off-road-beast-90-bronco-73/6721582666.html -
Just a butt weld for now Gary. I'm not 100% finished with it yet. I had to cut 2" out of a different section of the NP435 stick as well, so it's actually welded together in two places. I tacked it, then grooved it out and filled with weld. It's fused together about as good as it can be, but I may stick an extra piece or two on it for insurance. It's not like there's any real stress on it...but still, I'd like it to be secure. I just test fitted it today. I already took it back out. I just wanted to make sure the stick and the boot were going to work before I put any more effort and money into it...lol. Have to order a knob, and get it powder coated. That's cool! I like the look.

LOL. I'm now embarrassed that I even asked. I just popped the cover off the buckle, and fed the belt through flipped over, and it was fixed in 60 seconds. Why that hadn't occurred to me to try that, I do not know. Thanks Grumpin. Glad you got it! My kids kept me in practice!

Oh...well I'm not overly worried about getting the bolt out...that I can deal with. My problem is that if I just flip it around on the bottom I'll end up with a twisted belt, which I really didn't want. It's like the whole thing is backwards, ya know? I have been able to fold the belt over and work it back through, (if that makes sense) on some vehicles. I haven't done it on these era Fords I don't think. Sometime ago did that to our Suburban. It's amazing to me how they get like that.

I just had my rear fuel pump replaced. Quite the fiasco. The lock ring was stuck on the tank, rusty they said. They ordered a new tank and new sending unit, the sending unit wasn't correct. I gave them a Spectra part number I thought would work, they could tell by looking at it that it wouldn't. They got the lock ring off and used the old sending unit (which works better than the front one). I opted to use the new tank, for reasons Gary mentioned. I don't know what your F150 has in it, but I don't think there are any sending units available for the 19 gallon steel rear tank, at least for the 1986 trucks.

ZF swap components [small block]

Yes, that's a nice find for someone. -
I used Kreem in the past on motorcycle fuel tanks. And had very good results. Some folks recommended POR-15 and I got some and used it recently on another motorcycle fuel tank. I was not happy with it at all. I went by the directions as people said and I should have went with my gut, but I didn't. I'm going to look into the Rust-Oleum product for bare metal, and if I ever do another motorcycle tank it will be Kreem.

I agree, waiting for the bugs to be sorted out is a good idea. -

WHYDTYTT: What Have You Done To Your Truck Today?
grumpin replied to Gary Lewis's topic in Bullnose Enthusiasts Forum
My truck needs those so badly my windows are loose in the doors...lol. Between them and the door seals, my truck cab is about as tight as a spaghetti strainer. One of many things on a long to-do list.... Haha! My son commented on how fast the windows go up and down. I said the seals are shot, nothing to slow it down! -

Yes, there are some threads on the Nite on FTE. On edit, you probably meant the black XLS, sorry!
