  1. https://reno.craigslist.org/pts/d/weather-guard-truck-tool-box/6683114093.html Drove way too far to get this, but it's what I was looking for and he dropped the price down. It's a Weather Guard 115-3-01. I ordered some keys when I got home. When they get here I'll take the old Delta off and probably sell it. And the truck ran great!
  2. Yes, Canadian dollars. Truck is just a few miles north of the US border above Washington state. Looks like it's originally from Calgary AB (Just north of the Montana border, within view of the Rocky Mountains). Southern BC vehicles are usually very nice (Think PNW weather and climate) as are the prairie provinces. When I go searching across the country for Bullnose trucks, any of them that are in decent condition at all are usually in BC or Alberta. This one below also showed up today. Not nearly as pretty to look at, but a one owner truck with very low mileage at 68,000 kms (about 45k miles?). https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/edmonton/1982-ford-250-all-original/1384666722?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true They never ever ever show up in the salty east in this condition. Looks nice! And no white walls!
  3. Thanks for the link! I got some heavy duty sewing needles and thread from a fabric/hobby store and fixed the top part where the thread was coming loose. But it has seen better days. I'll have to get one sooner or later.
  4. There is a better way. Pull off the left & right plastic kick panels. If you don't have AC you should be able to reach down inside and pull out hands full of crap. If you have AC undo the 4 screws that hold that cover plate on and remove the plate, you should be able to reach down inside and pull out hands full of crap. Yes you should be able to run the water hose down inside the cowl to wash out some of the crap. Water should come the "duck bill" seal. It is the black "duck bill" looking thing just to the left and below the lower hinge. There is one on each side. Now you may need to open the "bill" to get the larger crap out. Dave ---- Got in there and cleaned out the debris you said I would find FuzzFace2! The driver's side was up to the panel, the passenger side was lower as I got some of it when I cleaned everything out with the A/C service and blower motor replacement. Looks like I got down to the mulch! Used a plastic scraper to loosen the tough stuff up. To get in there good with the shop vac I took the plastic piece, where you hook attachments on the end, out of the hose and went at it! Now I have to change the radiator on my wifes 98 Suburban. I call it my "Nemesis"!
  5. Gary these are right down the road from me so if there is any way I can help let me know. I can offer a place to park and I have tools if anything needs done to make one road worthy. Nice finds! Nice offer!
  6. Where did you find the cover? Looks nice!
  7. Orifice tube! Yes I forgot that. Good point LeBaron!
  8. I have been doing my A/C on my rigs. Had to start from scratch if you will, as when I got my F250 the compressor and brackets were missing. Since it's a 1986 it has the bigger tubed condenser and evaporator, at least from the research I did. I blew out the lines, condenser and evaporator with compressed air. I did not find a cleaner I liked (everyone in town had the expensive cleaner) so I poured isopropyl alcohol in everything and blew it out again. Got a new compressor, accumulator and found the brackets at a local pick and pull. I have an electric pump from Harbor Freight, also their gauges and I bought a valve to put on the service line (yellow), so I could control the pump and refrigerant better. And a valve for the cans. After new o rings and tightening everything up I evacuated the system for an hour. Closed up the valves and let it sit for about 45 minutes to leak check it. I used the small cans of R134 you can get easily. This is a good idea I got from someone, and that is to get a bucket of warm water, not hot, to put the cans in while you are servicing. With vacuum on the system still, I hook up the can to the service line, open the proper valves and let the pressure from the can and the vacuum pull in as much refrigerant as possible. On this big of a system you will have to jumper the low pressure switch to get the compressor clutch to engage. Start the truck, turn on the A/C and keep the can in the warm water till it's empty, with my valve I can close it to change cans. When the system is completely empty I like to determine how many pounds it holds and aim for that much refrigerant while monitoring the gauges for the correct pressure for the current outside temperature. Hope this makes sense and helps.
  9. Nice find! I make it down to Mohave County Arizona once in awhile!

  11. I had to have a shop get into my ZF5 I had in a 1988 F250 with the 7.3 diesel. One time my wife used my truck, I got in and drove towards work. Pulled up to a stop sign in second, checked traffic and reached over to put it in first. No shifter! Look down and it's laying on the floor! The shift tower broke. Might want to check that. Of course, I blamed my wife! Another time, IIRC, it was a bent shift fork.
  12. Welcome, that's tough. But that is a good looking Bronco!
  13. If I had the money and a place to put them, I'm sure my wife would think I've lost it!

  15. Interesting info. I had my OBDII tester hooked up to the Suburban the other day. I was looking at live data, the spark advance at idle was 25°.
  16. https://klamath.craigslist.org/pts/d/87-ford-250-automatic/6688534695.html To me, this looks like an E4OD. I thought Ford didn't use them in F Series until 1989. I assume () it would be a BW 1345 or BW 1356.

  18. There was a Mercury pickup at one of our car nights a few weeks back. I've seen a few of them, but never really paid much attention. I knew they stopped making them sometime in the 1960's, but that was all I knew about them really. It was more of a dual badging thing...much like Chevy and GMC I'd say. They were long gone by the Bullnose era. Interesting...and I didn't know this until I just searched, but it looks like the Mercury trucks were mostly a Canadian thing? I never knew;). Seeing one in the PNW seems about right...geographically speaking;). http://www.mercurypickup.com/mercury-truck-history/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_M_series Wow! I don't remember ever seeing a Mercury truck. Cool!
