  1. May, or may not be meth..but that harness closely resembles their neural ganglia.
  2. I definitely think the PO had a serious mental health issue.
  3. Looking goooooood! You've found your wheels.
  4. I did a lot of leather work as a tween. There was a shop in town "Bags to Britches" It stems from horseback riding.. I really like foxhunting, but I took great pride in my tack being in fine fettle. I still have a bunch of stuff....
  5. She should stitch you a steering wheel cover. Wet mold and a baseball stich. It'll be nice when it dries and tightens up. 😉
  6. My T-19 knob was Padouk... It fit with the interior.
  7. IDK how much it helps, but I try... 😄 What kind of "custom"? Shaun, Salans7 has just documented a '70's 4x4 shift in his truck. Otherwise I would suggest molding the knob to the splines with steel filled epoxy (like JB Weld.) Just spray the stick with Teflon dri-lube or even Pam cooking spray...
  8. I'm pretty sure I count 48 splines, but my eyes aren't so good anymore..
  9. If there's some way I can help, I'm more than glad! 🙂 If you need documentation let me know, I'll find it..
  10. I have a torch... and a caliper. I just got back up, so I need something to do with myself. 🙄
  11. Yup The same reason why a dog will always 'hide' to poop. They're vulnerable in the moment.
  12. When I was a little kid I used to get ostracized from the house, so I would go up into the library above the porte-cachere and read the thesaurus, or the dictionary or the encyclopedia... Visually I have a thing for how pieces fit together or seeing patterns in what appears to be random.. So I know a lot of different designs. I came up with a font for Gary's dad's air cleaner. 'Neue Helvetica demi bold extended'...... They wanted to send me to architecture school so I studied all the classic Greek & Roman building styles...
  13. Some time during the 85 MY 302's became 5.0l EFI. Then they got the square coil. 300's were next. The 460 & 351HO continued DS-II & carbs into 1987.
  14. Military bases are remote for reasons... You need a huge power transmission line and an abundance of clean water to even think about a nuke plant. Any other route to produce power doesn't have the gordian knot of nuke regulations, and the insane decommissioning costs at EOL. It doesn't make sense financially. Both the upfront costs, the need for specially trained, security clearanced personnel, the literal military convoy to get the fuel to the power station or the secure storage for spent bundles because the U.S. won't reprocess it.. I'm not sure why this seems hard to grasp?
  15. Agreed! Cummins & Bosch were not only dishonest, but deceitful. Claude is just a learning model. I don't like this "AI of everything "!
  16. The square coil is for EFI where it receives full power all the time. If you're going to run a DS-II module you should probably use the horseshoe connector and the cylindrical coil. (It's all part of a 'system'
  17. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/03/claude-3-seems-to-detect-when-it-is-being-tested-sparking-ai-buzz-online/
  18. I might suggest measuring your fuel pump output. Though I don't know what a 300-6 pump should discharge, I do know my 460 has to deliver a quart in 15 seconds (a gallon a minute, or 60 GPH) That's a lot of fuel for an engine making ~200hp from the factory.
  19. Perhaps you should look at the Weatherguard lightning tech podcast, or some of Dr Rosie Barnes very early videos when she was a tower tech in Denmark.... Rosie not only got a degree in airfoils, she has returned to Australia, had a son and started a consultancy (Pardalote??) It's a bird I'm not familiar with.... Anyway, you don't get a degree in fluid dynamics being an idiot...... Designing blades for Vestas is pretty much the pinnacle. And yet, she went from repelling towers to designing those blades, to starting a family and creating her own business consulting in renewables. There are a bunch of other channels with some CRAZY offshore work in the north sea if you want to have a look. I DO have actual links and documentation....
  20. Centurion usually swivel. I'm not sure about that Greek key design, but they look like a velour option of mid 90's Bronco seats. I'll go have a look at the details in daylight.
  21. Does my '87 count? I just glued it back on when I blew my rear end up, but I'm sure it will come off w/ heat.
  22. I think the 'fill through the middle' system vastly improved the filling situation for 1987. But if someone kinks the fill hose when they drop the tank, nothing is going to help them short of doing it over.
  23. Thanks for clearing the fog out of my head! I think they dim nicely and it doesn't matter which way you install them. Good people there at hi-po. I got my MPC and FSM from them, back when I had a Windows laptop w/ optical drive.
  24. Electricity too cheap to meter has been around the corner since the 50's. I'd like to see it happen (and computer simulations get better every year) but I doubt any of us will see it in our lifetime's
