  1. Just for a visual- (I'd double check your numbers against that) Additional info here. I assume you're already checking out ebay, jy, and local classifieds (either buy a whole truck or find one being parted out)? Also, what quality are you looking for?
  2. To further what Gary said - It sounds like you may already have the sending units out. Having photos of those would be good as they would show us the connector as well as if electric pumps or not (your comment makes it sound like they are electric). Would also help in case a PO may have changed stuff already. There were a number of different configs as well as changes to previous configs in the 85 and 86 years.
  3. Haven't ever seen these before. Watched a youtube video - pretty simple setup. The latches are different between 7th and 8th gen, right? Holes could be made to attach it using the handle mounting holes but I wonder if the locking arm would be in the wrong place.
  4. Despite thinking it's a good price (for Ford nos), I'll have to pass on this one. It would go better in a different truck than mine plus I am debating a camper shell... Hopefully if someone here gets it we can see some installed photos though.
  5. Welcome! There's just something about that Ranger Lariat trim package that stands out.
  6. Neat find! Honestly, given the seller, that price with free shipping doesn't seem bad at all. And you know me too well
  7. Looks like the 'short-n-wide' version my 80 has in it. Some additional photos on the subject: http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/Dealer-Aftermarket-AC-Photos-td44293.html#a44299
  8. I enjoyed the part about it being from the 90's so it's loose fitting
  9. With the 460 there is a good chance it's starter heat soak. Standard (non pmgr) starter, correct? Headers?
  10. Nice buy! Remind me - is it already setup for dual tanks and just missing the control or are you adding the second one new? I'd been looking for a spare alcoa to mount in the bed and picked these up today off Craigslist. $175 for all. They are 17's vs 16's so will have to figure out what I want to do there. May put the 17's on the truck and the 16's on the trailer. Alas I still have no spare...
  11. That's just the enhanced air flow version.
  12. The fuel pump cut off relay is to the right of the brake booster when looking from the front of the truck. There is a square-ish plastic cap screwed to the firewall that the relay snaps into from underneath. Note that this can hold two relays so it's a good location to add another (or move the trailer relay to) and keep it looking clean. The inertia switch is inside the cab on the passenger side of the hump. There is a square cutout in the firewall pad. Little square box with a white rectangular push button on it.
  13. I would vote for that idea over every registered user. Maybe see if there is a field that could be added under a users profile. Or a field that could be repurposed/renamed if a new one can't be added.
  14. So, how do y'all get to the forum? Good point. I typically have a tab always open to the forum on my laptop but I definitely use the email links on my phone. Did nabble have any ideas that they could implement on their end while still being part of the free offering?
  15. I like the personal touch but what about instead of emailing everyone you just redirect the forum portion of the site or replace the nabble module with a 'system down/go work on your truck :nabble_smiley_wink:' message?
  16. I may have misunderstood the full-time/part-time also. Glad everything got sorted out. I know one time I was working with him it was during some large convention where he had a booth so was swamped with that stuff. With at most two people, I can imagine it would be easy to drop the ball every now and then.
  17. Agreed. We all appreciate the work that often goes on behind the scenes.
  18. Great! So did you complete the blend door fix already? Or still in the midst?
  19. Thanks guys. Didn't realize there was a TSB for it. I removed the tcase skid plate as I forgot it was another thing I added to rule it out as well as removed and loctite'd the fender bolts before I went on a drive. Still made the noise although maybe not as much. I'll keep an 'ear' on it and follow some of the ideas on the TSB.
  20. Rear axle sway bar mount. I bought a couple of these for my 86 c&c awhile back (different number). Found this: F350 - -exc. Chassis Cab w/Sterling axle | E5TZ-5C489-A | O/8500 GVW - 10 1/4" ring gear FYI It's missing the back half, ubolt, and nuts from the 'kit' (looks like I was too slow )
  21. Hey Dave - just sent you an email so let's see if that works. I have updated the first post with more accurate shipping information.
  22. Ever since I got the truck back together any twisting of the frame causes a popping/creaking noise. Like turning on an incline. I don't ever recall it making this noise before the tear down. It seems to be coming from from near the passenger door hinges. I did look around and upper fender bolts looked like they have been moving. I tightened them down but still happening. I got to thinking tonight while driving it that maybe its the lack of movement from the new bushings since the old rubber ones had a lot of give compared to these. It isn't a squeaking at all which is the biggest complaint I found online. I will try to get a video the next time I drive it but was curious if anyone else had ran across this.
