  1. Looks great! The interior color goes really well with the rosewood.
  2. I would have the dealership pull it and send you photos of everything. That would eliminate that concern at least. If you've already exhausted the typical used searches (jy, CL, fb) for trucks being parted out, sounds like it may be the best option to get what you want...and it's new.
  3. If you travel over 45 mph for any distance at all I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. With the 460 don't really expect to see a mpg difference on a short commute but the noise level alone (rpm) to me is worth it (maybe not full price worth it but it really is nice). I don't believe this would impact the transmission slippage since it would still be in the same gears as the gvod is after the transmission (and tcase). Personally, I'd stick with just leaving it in Auto mode (overdrive) and play with the splitting when you get more used to it. If you want you to just try it out you can bypass the brain box and manually engage/disengage it. It all comes down to energizing a solenoid. The brain just controls the automatic portion of it and the safety features. If you do so, just make sure you follow the same precautions to avoid running it with low pressure. You likely found this already but in 4x4 trucks it now calls for Lucas 75w-90 gear oil. They've changed their recommendation over the years and I think mine had automatic transmission fluid in it when I got it. The only thing I can think of on rewiring it is that they don't want 'power on crank' going to it. I hooked mine to the heater wire under the dash. Gary - sorry I never responded. I mailed this out the other day. It's composed of single sheets with a staple in the middle. Feel free to cut them in half if that's easier and you have a slicer.
  4. Sold for $390 + 15 shipping You're right - haven't seen one of these nos before either.
  5. Going all the way through seems the easiest. I assume there's not enough room for a nutsert? What about a piece of flat stock that spans the center upright bolt to the condenser bolt? Have it platform out in the middle to bring it closer to the cooler and thread a hole in it or nut/bolt.
  6. Hey Bruce! I think Fenton is where he mentioned in his new member post. Which makes the body of the truck all the more impressive. Bought a truck over the line in Troy and the frame had what seemed like an inch of scale on it
  7. I wonder if that's only for vans? Not saying they don't exist but I've never seen a truck with the hoses mounted to the frame like that and can't imagine how it would with the steering box. The trucks I've seen with coolers are pretty much a straight shot.
  8. The EOTZ 1061726-AA (David found some available at the links above) is 39 1/8"
  9. https://www.rearcounter.com/EOTZ-1061726-AA-parts341373.html https://www.rearcounter.com/E0TZ-1061726-AA-parts194831.html Wow. 24 of them in one place. Wonder if that is accurate.
  10. Initially I thought it was but the length didn't look right. Here is from the parts list table: You may be needing this one? EOTZ 1061726-AA
  11. These must have been far more prominent - guess people took them in for service sooner rather than later. In the local jy there were at least 6 trucks with these small ones and none of the larger ones.
  12. Also mine were long in the front channel and short in the back channel (or vice versa) so just in case you run into that apparently it's normal in the replacements. At the suggestion of some on this forum, adding some silicone spray made a world of difference in mine.
  13. Got the all good from GVOD just now. It's a 40 page booklet so it may be easier to mail currently as I don't have a good scanner and am still unable to go into the office. Want to add some more scans to your never ending pile?
  14. Yep, that'd be it. O'Reilly's showed two options - one with a manual shut off and one without. I believe mine has the shut off (assuming that's what the squared off rod in the large line is for). Too late for me but maybe someone else will be able to use your spare one if you are wanting to sell it.
  15. I believe yours is the next gen after mine but the wiring will be the same (pretty generic). Just adding this here as a resource: https://maximum-overdrive.com/ As well as this: https://www.nickpisca.com/diesel/engine/gearvender-deep-sump-installation-tutorial-maximum-overdrive/ The latter site has some neat posts if anyone gets a chance to check it out. While you are down there, make a note of the numbers that are on the flat circular part where the speedometer gear goes in.
  16. Late to the party Really wish there was a way to target a user so they'd get notified. That diagram from Jonathan is handy - he sent me the same and it helped make sense of it all. The nice thing about the GVOD in both operation and wiring is that it's dead simple once you lay it all out. When contacting tech support if you do, just know that it's all about who you get. Some are great to work with while others... I have the C4, C4, and FMX manual that I referenced on my 4wd install but it was mainly used for the actual install since the unit was new to this truck. The wiring diagram from Jonathan is likely all you'll need in your case. Gary - happy to share the manual. My only concern is that since I purchased it from GVOD, they may be against it being made publicly available? Not sure how that works and I don't see any mention in the manual about distribution. As for reverse, it's something to keep in mind but I don't see any need to wire in a lockout for it. You definitely need to make sure the 4x4 lockout is working though. I never saw anything in the manual specifically about reverse dangers but I did read some other forum posts about avoiding backing uphill with a heavy trailer as well as if you are stuck, just quit. Don't try to rock yourself out. How do you plan to use the overdrive? Automatic or Manual mode? I.E split gears or just a final overdrive?
  17. Good info Steve. House projects combined with the not so urgent need to go anywhere in the truck right now have lessened the urgency of this project. I found that the orifice tube was now a permanent fixture in the evap so without knowing the history of the compressor I ordered a new one the other day. If you buy the compressor, dryer, orifice, and flush the system you get a lifetime warranty. I also ordered a new line between the dryer and condenser. Waiting on all that to come in (special order so will be a couple weeks).
  18. Is the switching unit working? If so, I'd keep both tanks even if you do go with the larger rear. With the 460 you can never carry too much gas. Also, don't forget to consider your exhaust if you go with the larger rear tank. I believe the front tank unit is available. It's the rear that isn't as a whole replacement. I think...
