  1. Gary, that white piece and the metal floor plug were the extras I found under the insulation.....LOL! Preaching to the choir but yes, those bushings are a pain. Burnt a couple out before I started just slicing pieces off with a razor blade until it all came apart. Summit: ATP-FO405. I replaced all of them on my auto 4wd with these.
  2. Looks like he should be good without much disassembly: https://www.fullsizebronco.com/threads/tc-drive-gear-replacement.219925/
  3. I looked at them when I was gutting my cab and was thinking a paddle wedge tool pushed in from the inside then worked around would pop it out. Would be a slow process. I opted to leave them (glass, not trim) in place though so never tried it. Subscribed to see how it works out for you. I haven't seen replacements either. Speaking of - if you end up having them tinted, talk to the shop about how they trim them. The first shop that did mine did a terrible job and to put it mildly, I was not happy about it. Ended up having a second shop clean them up and re-tint. Just a heads up.
  4. Thanks Jim. That huge range of dates is what was throwing me. I didn't expect the same gear to work in a number of applications. Did a quick google and see that Gary answered it over on FTE awhile back: And I know the same gear works in a C6, NP435, NP208, and BW1356, so that fits with what the catalog is showing. As for the drive gear, the one in the t-case, see below. From what you are saying the 1356 above may be a typo of 1345. (I haven't read the entire thread where I grabbed that from)
  5. Looks green to me. Are the drive gears pretty universal? Asking as I assumed they'd be different but that chart doesn't look like it specifies the application.
  6. I'd say a lot of us are in the habit of just checking the Alert checkbox the first time we reply to a thread
  7. Replying. "Gary's New Test Name" is populated in the dropdown. I didn't change it.
  8. You had me curious Looks like the seller just used a LD truck bezel for presentation: "I put the cluster bezel on to show that the crack is covered when installed (bezel not included)"
  9. Nice work Gary. Looking forward to seeing how this works for everyone.
  10. Just added this to my cart after Bill mentioned it works for mower throttles also I see there is a v3 version. Has anyone tried that style?
  11. Looks like it. I've been keeping an eye out for a diamond tread pattern one but haven't had much luck. That would go better with my running boards. The extruded isn't bad though...
  12. Welcome aboard! Looking forward to seeing the flatbed.
  13. No kidding. That would be quite the conversation starter when you pop the hood though. Looked at the manufacturer site and they make some neat looking stuff.
  14. Welcome back and sorry to hear about the other. Check out that link I added in post #4 of this thread. That will get you all the photos you need. I wouldn't do anything to your new one though. If you are wanting to make the 'fix' modifications, do that to your broken one.
  15. Got a kick out of this from that link: http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/head-rotfl-57x22_orig.gif
  16. My sister got these from Amazon. Looks like a bunch of sellers offer the same product. The 6 gloves (3 pairs) came in plastic bags with no branding or anything.
  17. I like that bracket and attaching the line to the coil bracket looks good. Previously I added a photo from my 86 showing the frame clamp as being a single. This seemed odd so when at the jy this weekend I looked at another 460. It had a dual line clamp as seen below. Not sure if mine came with a single or was changed out by a PO. Just wanted to add this for accuracy.
  18. Oh man, I have been doing the mini Mag-Light in the mouth for years, and as used to it as I am, I still hate it...lol. These gloves look really cool though. I have been waiting to try some different type of lighting for years...and all I could think of was one of those forehead lights like the miners use. So you give them a good rating Scott?? I used a pair quite a bit today. Did some more electrical work in an unlit kneewall cavity this afternoon and that alone sold me on them. They light up the surroundings when crawling across joists as well as the junction box I was working in. Plus left my mouth free to wear a dust mask for the fiberglass. I also wanted to look at the 460 oil filter adapter and they worked great for that also. I can't speak to the longevity or durability really but I'd say if I lost all of them tomorrow, I'd order another pack without hesitation. For the price and performance so far they'd get a good rating from me.
  19. That bottom photo with the wires/Wagos is one I took and they do light up the area of focus really well. Wish I would have had them while doing all the under dash wiring work. Would excel there. In-location soldering is another use case.
