  1. TABCO is a US manufacturer of body panels, including several thereof for our trucks. If you've had dealings with TABCO please rate their panels and their service, and write a review if you'd like.
  2. At one time I swore off RA because they sent me the wrong heater core - in spite of me calling and asking specifically that they pull the core from the box and ensure it was the right one. That was because the manufacturer was putting the wrong core in the right box. They agreed to do that but didn't and I got the wrong one. Then they would only give me a store credit - even though it was their fault. Plus, they didn't have the right core in stock to ship to me. However, subsequently I've learned that their catalog is an excellent tool with which to find parts. And their prices are pretty good, although Amazon frequently beats them. But returns are still a problem, so I'm only giving them a 4-star rating.
  3. RockAuto sells parts for vehicles. If you've had dealings with them please rate their service, price, etc as well as write a review if you are so inclined.
  4. AutoLine says "We are a remanufacturer/distributor of automotive products and premium new products including Carburetors, Injectors, Calipers and more." If you've had dealings with them please rate your experience(s) with them with regard to the product, their courtesy, price, etc. And, if you have comments please write a review.
  5. Wow! That's truly impressive progress, especially in that time period. WELL DONE!!! The info on Hagerty is interesting. I'm going to contact them about my trucks. I did their on-line estimator but didn't like the results.
  6. I kinda like the Raptor-like grille. But as I told Jonathan and David, the letters don't seem quite right. Still, it is neat. As for the color, it is kind of alright. Personally, having thought about it more, I like the factory color combos better.
  7. I think Marketplace is a good idea! And certainly you can do a whole review. You'll be able to both vote and post, although the two won't be associated as the voting is anon. And Rock Auto had already come to mind, but I'd not thought about Tabco. Good idea.
  8. I know next to nothing about Corvette's, but I overheard the guy say that it was a '62. The burger was delish...lol. Yeah, I'm not into Vettes. So that was a bad guess. Thanks.
  9. Most of the other vehicles are really cool as well, but the '30 dually is the best! The '78 F-Series comes in next, and Grabber Blue van comes in last in my book.
  10. Is that a '57 Vette? (Not sure what I think about a Haddock cheeseburger.)
  11. That is really cool, Cory. Same year, same paint, same plant.
  12. Jim - We can include U-techcenter. What I'm thinking I'll do is lock the folder down so no one but admins can start a thread as we want them to be consistent. But people need a way to suggest other vendors for the folder, so maybe we move this thread into that folder so people can suggest?
  13. All ratings are opinions. So this will be nothing different. Just like Amazon, say, where you can give a rating to a product. But in this case we are rating the vendor itself. So we will have to be on our best behavior. But, if you have a bad day and give someone a 1 or a 2 you can come back the next day or a year later and change it. Maybe they made it right? Maybe the next purchase was excellent?
  14. That's a shame as that is a beautiful truck. Someone is going to get a real peach.
  15. Please tell Matt hello for me. As for the story, I love it! Got what he deserved.
  16. Yeah, maybe we shouldn't do that in WHYDTYTT. FORD Lounge maybe? Mead tent? Yeah, I can see that. The Brits apparently had little wine due to the weather and were slow to figure out ale. But mead they had.
  17. Yuppers, Matt helped me many times. And I got to meet him. What's he doing these days, Bill? Can you get him on here?
  18. That's an idea, Bill. But we might want to break those kinds of things into regions. So, we could have two major categories: International: This would include vendors that sell internationally, like LMC, NPD, etc. Regional: We might want to cordon off rough regions, like Eastern or Southern, for those vendors that some of us deal with but aren't national much less international. And, this could include a region for Europe, Australia, South America, etc if there are vendors there that people want to rate.
  19. Don't mention the war. I did once but I think I got away with it. Your parrot's dead. What about The Vicar? Black Adder? Doc Martin? (I could go on and on and on.)
  20. I saw "colour" but missed grey. However, I used "grey" today as well. My lexicon comes from both the time we lived in the UK, but also all of the Britcoms and movies we've watched. And I've learned that once you know a word that is perfect for a given use, you don't forget it. So I say I'm "au fait" with something instead of "I have a good understanding of it". If there's a slow down in traffic but it doesn't come to a standstill that's a "tailback". (Not an American football player.) And on and on.
  21. I just had an idea that I want to try out on you. And that is the idea of having polls on vendors. Here's how they would work. We'd have a folder called something like Vendor Reviews, and in that folder we'd have a thread for each vendor we want to review. And each of you would have one vote on each vendor, with the results visible to all - members, the whole internet, and the vendors themselves. You can just vote or you can vote and comment. Or, just comment. Your call. In fact, you can come back any time and change your vote and that will be reflected in the total. And no one can see who voted nor how they voted. As for voting, I'd suggest we have a "star" system of 1 - 5. So you'd vote for a vendor's star rating, like in the poll below. (Go ahead and vote so we can see the way things would work. And then come back and change your vote to prove that works.) I'd leave the end date open so these polls won't ever end. So over years and even decades we can get an idea who the better vendors are. I suggest we start with vendors like Autoline, LMC, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, NPD, & Dennis Carpenter. And the guideline would be that you should have had dealings with them in order to be able to vote. So that would probably limit it to national outfits - right? Thoughts? Suggestions? Better ideas?
  22. I've not seen or heard that term since I left the UK. Maybe on a Brit movie or series, but I don't think so. Where'd you pic that up, Jim? I understand it!
  23. Yes, until Mitchell comes calling. To advertise on-line?
  24. Bummer! Yes, email them. And maybe include a link to this thread. And there's also the several Bullnose Facebook pages where you might want to give the folks a heads-up. People that do things like that need to be called out because of it. Maybe we need a folder where we store threads like this? Maybe called "Vendors To Avoid"?
  25. Yes, I hope Christian can work his way through the test. Yesterday on one of "those" FB pages a guy was selling schematics from Mitchell. Said they are better than those you get from Chilton or garysgaragemahal. When I pointed out that the schematics and EVTMs on here are from Ford he called them "chicken scratchings".
