  1. Check out the page here: Documentation/Electrical/EVTM/1996 EVTM/Transmission Control - E4OD.
  2. Ran two tests this morning. Added 5 gallons of gas to the rear tank and checked gauge readings. Both tanks should have had ~5 gallons in them and battery voltage was finally at ~12.8: Front showed 1/2 tank Rear showed 1/4 tank Then, with tank switch in the Rear position I jumpered across the oil pressure switch and watched the pressure come up on the gauge to ~ 4 1/2 psi - and then heard some liquid hitting the floor. Turned out that the same idiot that left the ignition on for two days also left the return line off of the front tank. So, after opening the door to get the smell down a bit and wiping up the floor, he put the connector back on. And this time when firing up the pump there were no leaks and the pressure stabilized at 5 psi. So it appears that the rear FDM works correctly. Now, he's off to do other things, like scan something.
  3. I have no idea, Jim. I've just seen people adapting them and haven't read up on it. But I just thought it is an option that might be something to explore before deciding which way to go.
  4. That's a really long way of saying 'yes'. Actually, later model SuperDuty 4wd trucks do have a solid front axle and coil springs. I've seen people on FB pages for the Bullnose trucks adopting that front suspension, so you might look there. And earlier model 4wd F150's had solid axles and coil springs. You'll remember WelderScott from the show. His '78 has a solid front axle and coil springs. I drove it Sunday and it handles nicely. It uses a radius arm arrangement.
  5. I don't see anything in the factory shop manuals specific to dealer-installed A/C. But what is in them is on our page at Documentation/HVAC Systems and on the 1985 FSM Instructions tab. Maybe I missed something?
  6. Looking good, Jim! That’s real progress on the tire carrier. Man, that thing was RUSTY!
  7. I’m not commenting on the trucks as that wouldn’t be fair. Instead, I’m commenting on the entry post. The write up. 👍
  8. Larry - your latest entry is up: http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/entrant-13-ratdude747s-95-ranger.html The rest of you need to check out Larry's two entries. The bar has been raised.
  9. Nice truck, if an early Bronco can really be called a truck. But at $75K we are into the stratosphere. Yikes! On the other hand, lots of good stuff done to it. Someone will shell out the bucks, and lots thereof.
  10. Ok, Jim, now I know what you are talking about. SuperDuty springs! And probably the best post in that microanalysis is this one. But remember those are SuperDuty springs, so that discussion isn't applicable if they don't go that way. And converting from 2wd to 4wd on an F250 is a different ball game, as you point out, 'cause the frame is different. For this project a thread to read would be that of VW Thomason called Sky's Front Superduty RSK on a 2wd. And Shaun is also into that so would be a good resource.
  11. Yep, Larry, I see your second entry in my email and will work it soonest. For the rest of you slackers, please don't wait until the last minute! It takes me a bit of time to create the individual page for each entry and link to it from the 2020 Truck Show page. AS A REMINDER, THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS MIDNIGHT THE 13TH, CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. ANY SUBMISSION POSTED TO ME AFTER THAT WILL NOT BE ENTERED. And even then, the late entries may be simply "what you see is what you get". IOW, you won't have time to review what I post and correct little glitches either of us made.
  12. Rich - You are now on the map. And I'll check the factory shop manual for dealer-installed A/C systems when I get out to the shop later this morning. By the way, you may be posting via email. When you do that you get a lot of baggage, including the previous person's post unless you click the three dots at the bottom and clear it out. Your choice whether you reply via email or click the link to log onto the forum and post that way. But the latter gives a cleaner result.
  13. If it fixes all that it'll be a miracle. Especially for the price!
  14. That's great news! Did you ever solve the problem that came up every once in a while? Seems like the engine would die and yet restart? Might this carb solve it?
  15. Ok, my bad. But with a carb I can't use that hose. Yet.
  16. Bill - Thanks. I found the valve on Amazon. It is a Standard Motor Products V326 PCV Valve and looks like this: As for the hose, I have that same hose that you pictured. I'm sure it came from Jim. And it is for fresh air into the driver's side valve cover. Right? But since I won't have that inlet system until I go with EFI I'll have to run a hose from the fitting on the valve cover to a filter in the air cleaner. Then there's the other hose, the one from the PCV valve into the intake. The EFI hose from the PCV valve goes to the upper plenum. But obviously for a carb'd application it needs to go to the base of the carb. And since that PCV valve goes up and doesn't make a right angle I'm going to put a right angle hose barb just above the valve and then route the hose to the carb's base.
  17. There are two 11A152 sections. But neither of them have E4TZ 11A152-A:
  18. Hello! Glad you joined. Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we'd add you if we had a city or zip. On the A/C, a wiring diagram for a dealer-installed system is hard to come by. Part of the problem is that there were several options available to the dealers, each from different companies, so there were several diagrams. And I don't think I have any of them. Perhaps others do? Having said that, I'll look tomorrow to see what the factory shop manuals have. Perhaps one of those has something.
  19. Sounds like you have a good plan. I'm glad the owner is getting involved. Hang in there, it'll be great when it gets done.
  20. I can't find E4TZ 11A152-A in the MPC. So I don't know what it fits.
  21. Pretty! And the price isn't too bad, although the shipping is fairly high.
  22. Troy - That's a beautiful truck! And I like the website as well. Good luck on the sale.
  23. Jim - Me do a microanalysis? Yes, I tend to do that. But I'm not sure to which of the many you refer. Help me there and maybe I can find it?
  24. You guys are right - I am BLESSED!
  25. Yes! As long as you get the right part, RA is great. But if you get the wrong part you are in trouble. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to explain why I gave them a "4". I think I'll change it to a "3" upon reflection.
