  1. Welcome, Joe! I'll be looking forward to following your build. So, where's home? We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we could add you if we had a city or zip. Maybe you are close to one of us?
  2. I'm glad you found it, that the stock parts fit, and the engine is running well. And I'm with Jim - tell them you found the problem and decline the refund. I'm glad we are back to probably having a good, cheap source for carbs.
  3. Something like this? https://www.bluelakeoffroad.com/rear-multi-carrier-bumper/rear-multicarrier-bumper-f150-bronco-72-96-and-super-duty-72-98-tapered/ My truck doesn't have a spare tire on it so I went looking. -BDH I'd looked at the Blue Lake Offroad site before - and wasn't impressed with the site at all. The inability to see what I'm buying is puts me off. I see the bumper and I tick that I want the swing arm for a tire and nothing changes. So I don't know if I like what it would look like. Having ticked the boxes to get it like mine was intended to be I get $1374. Then there's another $150 for them to weld it up. Plus tax and shipping I think we are at $2k - and I don't know if I'd like it. My thread on my plans is Rear Bumper/Spare Tire Mount Thoughts, and this post might get you started with roughly where I left it. And here are a couple of renderings:
  4. Ok, Mickey, tell us what is happening with the trucks. Let's start with the 1982 first.
  5. This thread is to help Mickey get one of his two trucks going. His post follows....
  6. Mickey - You did post in the wrong spot, but we can overcome that. Your first post was supposed to be in the New Members Start Here folder because that is where our guidelines are posted and we want to make sure everyone has seen them. But we also sent them to you in the "welcome" email. So just assure me that you've read them and all will be well. As for your trucks and your plight, that sounds like a problem. And you are going to need our help in getting one of them going. But this is not the best place for that. So I'm going to start a thread in the main section where more people will see it and move your post to that thread.
  7. That's where you lose me. We have a link that takes you to the Ford part of "uhaultruckpartsonline", as they call it. I assume that is the ebay storefront you mentioned. But where's the online store?
  8. See what you think now. I can't edit the poll, but could delete it and reinstate it - I think.
  9. Yes, with the exception being Flaresides as they were always below the body line. In 1987 the color went back to above the body line, and then in 1992 it dropped back down below the body line. I've always preferred the upper body line on deluxe and combination tu-tone Bullnose trucks because the accent color looks too narrow on the 85-86 trucks, especially the early 85's with that rare upper molding (just my opinion). Didn't know that, Shaun. Thanks for the education. I've got it, I've got it, .... :nabble_smiley_cry:I ain't got it.
  10. Check it out: http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/U-Haul-td73497.html
  11. U-Tech Center is U-Haul's truck part's store and has parts for lots of vehicles, including our Bullnose trucks, at excellent prices with dirt cheap shipping. You may have to do some looking, but there is gold in them there Hauls.
  12. Wow! $1/each!?!? Btw, this reminds me. I need a link for u-techcenter for the ratings/review thread. Got one?
  13. Haven't driven anything with a "Rotchester" in quite some time, but I'm pretty sure I have a 2GC and a Q-Jet stashed away. The latter is my favorite carb.
  14. I told Google northeastern Ontario, Canada and it dropped a pin there. See what you think of the location: Bullnose Forum/Member's Map.
  15. LOL! I have a freebie from HF that has the switch right beside the LEDs. Turning it on isn't too bad once you learn to look away. But finding the switch to turn it off is painful.
  16. And they don't have a replaceable battery. Just a lithium ion. George - That's what I thought.
  17. Mike's provides parts, specs, and kits for a wide variety of carburetors. For instance: Carter YF/YFA: Don't miss the technical catalog with a video on how to ID them, rebuild instructions, exploded views, troubleshooting, etc. Ford 2150: 7200 VV Holley 4180
  18. Well, I Googled "390 lumen magnetic slim bar folding led worklight" thinking I'd find the Braun one. But instead I found these on Amazon. At $17 for two and delivery tomorrow I couldn't resist. Doubt it'll be as good as the HF one, but with 4.6 stars out of 2501 reviews it can't be bad. We shall see - tomorrow.
  19. Bill - I have the tank half installed, or half uninstalled depending on how you look at it. So getting the FDM out isn't a huge deal at this point. But I don't want to go to someone else as Herko owes me a new FDM at no extra cost. As for the slack, no there's not nearly enough to allow getting the lines to an FDM off the truck.
  20. I have two of them from Huck, one front and one rear. Want me to send them to you? Seriously though, are you ready for the rag joint? I'm headed to the shipping place in the morning.
  21. I'm curious re that as well, Jim. I'm just not sure I'm curious enough to set up the test. In theory there's a valve that opens when the pump is powered, but not otherwise. So you could set the FDM in some liquid, like water, and apply power. With the output plumbed to the return the pump would run and the valve should open. But to test the pressure at which it opens you'd have to raise the voltage on the pump and record the pressure, or let the pump's output go back into the container and apply regulated air pressure to the return. But it really doesn't matter. If the third FDM doesn't work with the regulator than I'll just run on the rear tank while sporting the carb, and move to EFI sooner than planned.
