  1. Yes, our lines run differently. Mine makes a run to the side before turning back. Looks like yours turns back earlier. But, I think I have it sorted now. Will drive it a bit and see.
  2. If I were close I would. That panel is better than the one on BB.
  3. That's a good idea, Jim. I have a multi-colored set from Eastwood and they've held up well with powder coating so I'm sure they'd handle the underhood environment well. Caplugs appear to sell things for masking, and their HVC Series comes in a wide range of sizes. They are vinyl but should stand the temp. And they offer free samples, so maybe someone wants to test them?
  4. Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying - since it shows 168" WB then it is a crew cab. Just doesn't say so.
  5. A Free Wheeling package would look like the pic below. But I don't know about those stripes. Maybe Ralph knows, so I'll tag him.
  6. David - Interesting! I've tagged Jonathan. Dane - I guess that's why it is listed that way?
  7. Thought I'd update this, maybe for the last time? http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/crossed-fingers-20-pixel_orig.png I've played around with various routes for the hoses and tubing, and have come to realize that the muffler needs to nest between the MAF sensor and the master cylinder because the hose has to go between the MAF sensor's frame and the inlet air tube. But that it'll move a bit as the engine rocks on its mounts. That movement tends to move, and ultimately toss out, the inner tube rubber I was using for isolation. So I've come up with the "solution" shown below. That's 1/2" heavy foam weatherstripping glued to the master cylinder so it won't go away. And in the shot on the right, which was taken from the engine's point of view, you can see a piece of foam insulation that protects the tube and hose from the MAF's plastic frame. Also, you can see a piece of inner tube that is glued in place between the MAF's frame and the end of the muffler. So the muffler can move w/o losing the isolation pieces, but I think most of the movement will be taken up by the bends in the hose you can see running to the compressor in the left pic. We shall see...
  8. Is there any other kind of cruise??? And no, she wants to bring me too. That's a good thing, but it doesn't reduce the expense! At this point it's just wishful thinking on her part. But her wishful thinking tends to morph into reality more often than mine does, so we'll see what ends up happening! Good luck! I'm "off" of cruises. I came home from the last two of them with something serious and was "out" for about 10 days in both cases. So we are planning our own trip this round where we can stay a bit farther away from people - save for the airline travel. But I got "it" on the ship so...
  9. Is that a Disney cruise? Without you? As for male dogs being happier after being fixed, I suspect that it wasn't a "fixed" dog that said that.
  10. Yes, I think that may be an F350 not a 550. Wikipedia says this about the 1965/66 models: So both the Twin I-Beam and the 300 six were introduced then.
  11. Nice pic, but why are you stopped in the middle of the street?
  12. Actually, it looks to me like the MPC has an error. The snippet below is from the 1986 F-Series brochure and you can see that the Crew Cab is the only one with a 168" wheelbase. So I think when the MPC said "F150/350(Super Cab) - - 155”,168" W/B" it was in error. The Super Cab had 155" wheelbase and the Crew Cab had 168, but they ran both together after "Super Cab". Ralph?
  13. Those are such a good feeling! I FIXED IT! And then you think "Oh, I created the problem in the first place." But still, it is fixed. And you can tick it off the list.
  14. I hate to tell you, but Dad said his '81 with a 351M got 10 or 10 or 10 MPG depending on how you drove it. My brother says his '85 460 got 10 or 10 or 10 depending on how you drove it. Guess which one would tow and go.
  15. Somehow I forgot that I'd added Matt's writeup. See the Troubleshooting tab then the Repairing Park Position tab on the page at Documentation/Electrical/Windshield Wipers.
  16. Good find, David! That's a nice price and fits 1980 to 84: F100/350 - - 133" W/B F150/350(Super Cab) - - 155”,168" W/B F350(81) — (Regular Cab) 136.8", 160.8" W/B
  17. It does have speaker mounts and I use them. However, I tend to use the speakers in them at low levels as they are really close to my ears and, therefore, can easily dominate the sound. So they are best used as rear channels and at low levels. But overall I really like the Highliner. It gave me a place to neatly mount the GMRS radio as well as the altimeter, and gets compliments frequently.
  18. Nice truck. Very well preserved and should go for decent money. It would be slightly better if it was from CA as it would have EEC-V instead of the speed-density EEC-IV. But the main differences there are that you'd have OBD-II for better diagnostics, and it would accommodate changes to the engine better.
  19. The blue caps are replaceable: They also come in other colors. Filter Instrument Cluster Lamp: Blue Part #: D9AZ-10B870-A / Fits: 1980/1986 F-100/F-350/U-150 = 1982/1986 Econoline = 83/86 Ranger = 84/86 Bronco II If your interested. But personally I wouldn't bother replacing them. Part number D9 probably not only means they were first used in 1979 but that they were made way back then as well.
