  1. Thanks, it works nicely. And it is easy to do as it just uses the legs off of a bench seat.
  2. So, Foxit doesn't create a "hyperlink transparent box" over the text? Instead it creates a line we have to click on? Strange. Acrobat and PDF Expert do a clickable "box" over the text. And Foxit user manual seems to indicate the same, they talk about a hyperlink «area»: Actually, you've reminded me that I did figure out how to make the box. You can see that on our page at Documentation/Specifications/Certification Label. Initially Foxit was placing a line under the text and you had to click on the line. But with a bit of reading I found that you can put a box around it and then click anywhere in the box to get the link. But, as you'll see, it looks different than the "other way". It works but doesn't look as nice.
  3. Interesting. You could pump up the pressure and then close a valve and watch the pressure. If it doesn't fall you don't have a leak.
  4. Glad things are going together nicely. How are you going to do the coolant pressure check?
  5. Gary, just to be sure I correctly understand what you mean: 1- Presently, if you edit a XLS table already in the Library, the modifications are instantly there. No need to re-load the XLS in the Library. 2- You are looking to do the same for PDF files that would be also available in the Library. Just edit it directly there, no need to re-load. Am I OK? If so, I would say that PDF editing isn't always easy, meaning that the page and text format could result in bad surprises. And I don't know about hyperlink editing directly in a PDF. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro (but it is getting very expansive, in my humble opinion). I also use Readdle's «PDF Expert» software, which is really nice and affordable. Jeff - I'm watching the video, and am about half way through, but will have to pick it up a bit later. However, it is good. Thanks. As for the files, yes all of the files I've shared can be edited in the background by me and the results are immediately available. That includes Excel, Word, and pdf's. And I do edit hyperlinks with my pdf software, w/o problems. That software is Foxit, and it is a lot less expensive than Adobe.
  6. Gary - I did it with Word, 'cause I find it easier to format the page than in Excel. But let's go with an Excel file example. Since I didn't have your original Excel file, I simply copied the table content from the Library, and pasted it in Excel. But be aware that this copy/paste action worked using Chrome as web browser, but failed with Safari (remember, I'm on Mac). But you have the original XLS file, so it's not an issue for you. You do not need a specific PDF software, Excel does the job directly. 1- Set the print zone of your table. 2- Set the Page setup, the same way if you plan to print the file (Landscape, portrait, margins, etc). 3- Not sure on Windows version, but on Mac I go File>Save as and then I select "PDF" in the «File format» sub-menu: The original XLS file: The resulting PDF. All the hyperlinks are preserved. Good to know, Jeff - but... That adds a step to things that I'm not sure I'll remember to do. The way it is all I have to do is to edit the Excel file and then save it and the changes show up on the website. Which is why I was thinking of editing a pdf and then saving it. But my pdf software puts a line under the text that you have to click on instead of being able to click on the text itself. Might I be able to use Word?
  7. Got the console painted today and plan to line the inside with felt tomorrow. Maybe get it installed on Sunday? And, by the way, you are looking at the side that had 5 holes in it. As for travel, there's 16" from the front of the seat to the dash with the seat fully back, 11 1/2" with the seat's track run forward, and 6" with the platform's track run fully forward. So there is a full 10" of movement. And here's a shot with everything fully forward showing the access to the storage unit - but don't forget that the seatback also tilts.
  8. Jeff - Yes, that is supposedly how we can port our stuff to something else. But there is no application that I'm aware of to take the files that are listed there and convert them for use on any other forum. However this is where'd we start if we were to try to have AI write a migration tool. Jim - I realize this isn't part of the forum discussion as it isn't on the forum, but the hope was that we could find an easy way to make things easier for people using phones instead of "computers". We didn't find a way to fix everything, but Jeff's work helped us realize that there are two issues - the table itself and the loading of the file. Jeff's conversion to pdf made using the table easier, so I want to move to that instead of Excel. However, to do that I need to import the existing Excel file into my pdf editor or just adopt Jeff's and get rid of the Excel file and only maintain the pdf. Jeff - Do you know of any errors in yours? And what did you use to convert it? I'm not sure I can manage it exactly the way it came across with my Foxit pdf editor.
  9. Gary, I just realized that target files are Word or Jpeg format... Never PDF. I thought that the pict brochures were PDF ones, sorry... So, you are right, the pict ones load much faster than the .DOC ones. Question: There is no way to have PDF target files? I suspect that they could probably load faster than .DOC ones. And, as Word documents, PDF can keep hyperlinks in the text, if required. Anyway, maybe we should wait to find a new platform to see how it will perform? We have pdf's, but Microsoft displays the W for Word when loading them. In fact there are very few actual Word documents. Almost all that look like Word are actually pdfs. As for the ugly look, you should see how it looks on my end. I've had several instances where Weebly wasn't working correctly and I had to get out and back in to finally make it work. There's something flakey about the tables app. (Well, there's something flakey about Weebly, and that includes the tables app.) Part of the problem is the # of years we have across the top. If we had two tabs with the Bullnose stuff on one tab and later stuff on the other tab then it would be easier to manage. And it would probably display a lot better.
  10. Ok guys, there is a really clunky way to create a table in Weebly. It uses a plugin for tables, but it apparently wasn't meant for something this large. But lets test it. Go to the new page in the menu called Test Page For Tables. There you'll see the table in all of its ugliness. But it has enough rows and columns to replicate what we have. Lets see how bad it is. I don't like it on my phone, and I really don't like setting it up. But you tell me if it has possibilities. And Jeff, you are right, there are two problems - the table and then loading the file or pic. And pics load a lot faster. But you can't search a pic and pics of multi-page documents don't work. So if we are going to have large documents people will just have to wait for them to load - unless there's a better way I'm not aware of.
  11. NO! Please don't shut up. Even if you don't have a better suggestion at least I need you to tell me when you have problems. I can't fix it if I don't know about it, and while I might not be able to if I know, maybe someone else can help. Like Jeff's suggestion to use a pdf instead of Excel. I would never have thought of that as "table" means Excel to me. But my pdf editor will allow it as well. So we need to figure out if that works better. As said, I put his pdf on the same page as the Excel file, and maybe that was a mistake. But if there are two problems, meaning one of opening the table and the other using it, then this should answer the 2nd question. And if that does improve the response I can remove the Excel file to test that way. So y'all please test. I've tested and am not finding much speed difference but there is a usability improvement with the pdf table.
  12. I think what I said, or meant to say, is that it is how I know to do things. I'm open to a better way, and maybe Jeff's found one.
  13. Gary, I don’t think that the issue is about embedding. I think it’s more about Word and Excel documents. Let’s take Manuals and literature as example. The table works well on a desktop computer, but is very annoying to navigate in from a mobile device (iPhone or iPad in my case). In this table, if I click on "open link", I get a long delay before it opens the document. And if the target document is a Word or Excel one, it takes forever to open it… Just for testing purpose, here is a PDF copy of the same table. Don’t know for others (Jim?), but on my Apple iGadgets, clicking a link is much faster to reach the target document. Manuals_&_Literature.pdf I suspect that using PDF format for tables and documents would greatly accelerate the library navigation, and this format would be more "friendly" for mobile devices. Jeff - Let's test your theory out. I put your pdf on the page above the Excel version. So you can test both versions. I've tested and the biggest difference I see is that on the pdf table it opens directly, but on the Excel version you may have to click a time or two and then you get a popup with an option to open the link. But I can't tell that one is faster than the other. Or, do I need to take the Excel version off the page to test?
  14. Assumed so. I know very little about Python as it was developed long after I passed my level of incompetence. But it is intriguing to think that we could have AI write a program to actually migrate us over. I can see two ways of doing that - write the program to play like a user and actually post exactly what's on Nabble. But that would be tedious as we have ~2000 users and would have to create all of those accounts so it could log on and post. Plus it would probably take a long time. The other would be to study both file structures and recreate the files in the new forum's format. But the user's passwords are encrypted so while we might be able to move the content I'm not sure we could set it up so they could automatically log on.
  15. Interesting. I noted the Python capabilities. I wonder if that's what could be used to port our Nabble posts to a new forum?
  16. Ok, I'll admit that I almost never use my phone to look up things on the website or forum, and don't post using it often either. So I don't see those problems, and am glad y'all pointed them out - especially since today's metrics show a 50/50 ratio between mobile and desktop users. So I need to find a better way of posting information, especially for the forum. (I don't think there is a better way for the website when we have large documents, but I'm willing to consider something else.) Given that, I'll take embedding off the table as a requirement for the new forum.
  17. Congratulations, Chris! Glad it is going well, and I hope the trip this weekend goes perfectly.
  18. It is now in my copy of the Master Parts Catalog, as shown below. But it turns out that there are two different part numbers that are red, although I'm assuming they have the same size orifice.
  19. Cool! So now we now the orifice sizes, although I'm doubting there are any jets around that small. I need to record this for posterity.
  20. Yes, you should be fine. I'd forgotten that the 5/8 tap is a bit smaller than the NPT, so you didn't make it too large.
  21. LOTS! I'll take pics and measurements tomorrow, but I think both have about 5" of travel.
  22. Larry - Thanks. Interesting that you like both Discourse and Xenforo. Chris already has Discourse running so I'm sure we will try it at some point. All - Speaking of trying, we are now trying myBB. Chris just got it up and I've not done anything on it - including registering as I kept getting an error.
  23. Why is that, Jim. Are they too big and take too long to load?Hard to see on your phone? Just trying to understand.
  24. If the VREST does have a vacuum “leak” that would explain how it keeps the vacuum to the dizzy low. Otherwise I can’t see how it would work.
  25. You are too young. Welcome Back Kotter was a very popular TV show.
