  1. Ron, That line is for the 1993-up Clutch master cylinder that has the fitting pointing straight down. It looks like the clutch slave also changed for 1993, which is why you're seeing a difference. So the new line fits the new slave, but not the master. So...you'll either need a 1988-1992 slave cylinder to work with your old line and master, or plan-B would be to buy a 1993-up master to fit the new line?
  2. Yeah, and I didn't realize until after I started the thread that the truck has been for sale for quite a while, it's just that it was recently relisted on Ebay...that's where it caught my attention. I kinda like it in an 80's nostalgia kind of way. It's not my cup of tea either...but it's one of those trucks I'd buy if I was a guy like Jay Leno and could just buy things randomly to put in a collection. Truth be told, I'd be much happier with a patina'd Bullnose;).
  3. Oh boy they're asking some big money for this thing! Ebay auction below. https://www.ebay.com/itm/163862141924 Direct website with more pictures and description: https://www.vanguardmotorsales.com/inventory/3572/1987-ford-f-250-bigfoot-cruiser-4x4-pickup And of course Youtube. I can't copy the link to embed for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=29&v=uoDAYB5pDqU
  4. The only word I can think of is "Interesting", since I can't stand the look of it...lol. https://www.ebay.com/itm/273996196564
  5. I'll probably do the same as I have plans to paint my interior as well. The $40 isn't so bad...which is actually $55 for me (Plus shipping and tax, if ordered alone they'd still cost me more like $100 delivered). If I can make my old ones look reasonably well (at a glance), I'll be happy. When I finally get around to ordering some other stuff maybe I'll get a set of the black armrests...won't seem so bad when combined with a larger order.
  6. Has anybody ever tried to repair one of these Bullnose armrests/handles before? Mine was coming apart...passenger side much worse than the drivers side for some reason or another, but it was driving me crazy...annnnd I have nothing else to do with my truck still being in the body shop. So I made some little angled pieces out of sheet metal, stuffed some construction adhesive into the handle, and squeezed it back together with zip ties. I only used construction adhesive because it was what I had on hand...it was a toss up between it and silicone adhesive. In hindsight, maybe the silicone would have been a better choice. It seems to have worked, although I have no idea for how long...lol. Maybe it will separate again in a week, I dunno. Replacement (Blue) armrests are $160 USD a set from LMC (which is like $210 CDN for me, plus shipping, plus tax, etc). So, nothing to lose with stuffing the old ones full of glue...lol.
  7. How is the weather looking for the trip? You could always remove the wiper arms. J/K!
  8. So we were talking about this license plate light previously since it appears to be the same as the one used on the Flareside, except it is black. I see there are several listed on Ebay now as fitting Rangers. Can anybody confirm? https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OEM-Ford-License-Plate-Light-Lamp-Assembly-E1FZ-13550-A-Ranger-1989-1997/153535256710?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 You out there Ron? Dave?...it looks the same, ya? I don't need one, but others might...
  9. That's a great resource Gary. People do go looking for this info from time to time.
  10. I'm thinking about ordering a can (or two) of the Colorbond blue from LMC. Do you have any comments good or bad a year later? How about quantity? I need to do two door panels, two kick panels, and 2 a-pillar trim pieces. Will a couple cans do it? Now...the tricky part. I didn't realize until recently that my door panels and kick panels were painted previously, using a Duplicolor vinyl and fabric "medium blue". Any special preparation I should do in order to paint over the Duplicolor with Colorbond? And finally, if I choose to do so...can somebody recommend one of these SEM retailers that mixes interior paints, and ships?
  11. Right hand drive. Cool! Welcome aboard.
  12. Just curious, but is this cab insulation done mostly for sound deadening purposes, or for insulating (heat) purposes?
  13. Looking good Dave. I can't wait to see it all finished up.
  14. That's almost double what my little Flareside weights.
  15. They have it on their website for $8995.00, so I guess one could assume that is what the reserve price is on the Ebay auction. http://specialtycars.360vinspin.net/Hayden-Idaho-83835/Used-1986-Ford-F150-XLT/VDP/d5bb062c-c2fe-41cb-a93e-125992768cca These trucks don't seem to crack $10,000 very often, so I'm happy to see a price tag of only $9k on it. Somebody in the Northeast will buy this truck, ship it across the country, and then re-list it for $20,000 lol.
  16. I think when you see them like this there are two things that are pretty much a given: Garage kept and not winter driven. I don't know if that's more common in the PNW climate or what, but there sure are some gorgeous trucks coming out of WA and OR, and sometimes ID. And this thing has 154k miles on it, so it was definitely used...albeit carefully...lol. This truck looks pretty straight, but what gets me are the interiors. The interiors are mint, like brand new. The hard part for me is seeing them sell for $7500 bucks, knowing full well you couldn't build that truck (in that condition) for twice that much. I keep telling myself..."I'm doing it for the hobby, I'm doing it for the hobby, I'm doing it for the hobby...."
  17. This a sharp looking Bullnose. They do say that the truck was painted at some point, but it still gets a nod for being a one owner in such nice condition with all documentation. The interior looks really nice too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/233341616711
  18. Gentlemen, Just to put a bug in your ear, I'm looking for a set of the passenger side dash vents from a dealer installed AC system if you happen to come across any.
  19. I'm surprised that these sides didn't sell faster to be honest. I thought of buying a spare set, but fingers crossed I won't need them. If somebody wanted to build a Flareside bed from scratch these would be the key components to have...you can buy everything else. (Fiberglass fenders aside, but they seem pretty common...I know where there about 10 sets of them now just collecting dust and leaves...lol).
  20. I guess it would be considered an upgrade, yes. It's just a slightly different heater housing to accept a slightly wider heater core. If you see above, it's 7.5" wide instead of the standard 6" heater core. My 1984 just has the standard heater. A guy told me last week about a junkyard not all that far away that I had not visited, so I dropped by today and found this old relic below. I know Reamer has mentioned it before, but there sure are a lot of old Flaresides rotting in the woods around here... Not much there worthy of the time to pull it. Tailgate might be salvageable, not sure. The rest of the steel is rotten. 300/6 is still intact...and it does have one of those carb spacers Jon was looking for. I'll drop back by one day and grab it. I only had time to look around today.
  21. Welcome aboard. I keep seeing Rehab and thinking it's Rhubarb. Maybe I'm dyslexic. If you get a chance, post up a picture of the certification label that's on the cab...driver's side door jamb, next to the striker post. That will help answer some questions about the truck.
  22. That's what they look like with that tall filler neck on the passenger side.
