    Mine did as Jim said, would smell of gas when parked. I had my charcoal canisters still. One canister is still on the truck with that line going to it then up to the carb. No more smell. Might be able to find one at a junkyard.

    I put a small amount of spray lube on the speedo itself, just at the back where it connects. Helped some.

    Soldering in the wind is difficult. I’d go with wire nuts or assortments of butt splices etc. as Jim mentioned.

    I don’t know this system well. But, what popped into my head was engine temp sensor, because it runs well for awhile.

    I appreciate that Scott, but it will sit on the shelf with other stuff I’ve bought for nostalgia reasons. You hang on to it. I think I need to stop. Need to find a good used Gear Vendors!

    No, I did not. I set a limit on what I would pay. Mainly wanted them for nostalgia.
