  1. What’s amazing to me is that’s a lower asking price than people are asking around here for the same era trucks. Someone had a Bronco, 92 or 93, cracked dash, in general looked a little trashed. Cracked windshield, rear window motor didn’t work, around 200k miles on it. Said the asking price reflected all those things and was asking $12,500.00! Edit: Hagerty has our era rigs priced up there. https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1985-Ford-F~150-1!2_Ton?id=168435
  2. https://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/d/eugene-1985-ford-150-xlt-lariat-4x4/7365449303.html Looks nice, except for the big dent. Don’t know which engine. Edit: looks like the cowl seal needs to be replaced.
  3. That’s interesting on the Honda Jim, I was checking fluids on my Xterra the other day and noticed it had an electric pusher fan on it.

  5. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. You aren't alone! Saw that on the door as one exited the Garden City Hofbrau (I thought that was the name) in San Jose, California. That was back in the early '60s before the city did a bypass of down town and tore down all the old buildings that were in the way. You know, its called re-development. It was a very nice, old, and large building with high ceilings, where one could buy food and, of course, beer to go with. A fun and inexpensive night out for the nearby college/uni students. And with music and dancing. Wish I could remember the German words... Zu soon wir get alt, und zu spat wir get smart. May have been a combination of German und English words. The memory fades ... Looking back, it wasn't a wise thing to have done. The elevation there is about 7,000 feet and the 85hp engine didn't have the power it had at sea level. Also, I always had recaps and usually drove them, if they lasted that long, until the tread was almost gone. Of course, the rubber wasn't as good back then, 20K miles was good. With my '49 Ford I used to count (I'm gong to redact this!)... Could have easily spun out and several times almost didn't make it over a few of the hills. A squeaker, nail-biter, of a drive. [Edit: The picture of the pickup is from a post by Rembrandt on Page 1, and there are more pictures of it there] Good saying! My father in law is german, he has a lot of good ones. Like, “would you understand better with your glasses on?”
  6. I have Monroe gas magnums on my Bronco and Suburban. I like them. Will more than likely get some for the truck, soon I hope.
  7. I keep forgetting you have EFI. So, yeah the PIP. You could check the ohms on the primary and secondary side of the coil, just to be sure. Interesting that the spark changes color by the time it gets to the plug.
  8. I would check the coil, also look at the pickup coil in the distributor. I had a bad coil on my Bronco, it was hard to start when cold, a lot of cranking.
  9. Very nice Bronco! A little high to me with the cracked dash and tears in the overhead. And almost 200k miles.
  10. Yep, 460, 3.55 limited slip rear end. About everything I would want except the price. Sure looks nice!
  11. Man! https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/woodbridge-1996-ford-350-only-original/7364500759.html
  12. I checked earlier for giggles and that Sachs you got is about $160 less than the Zone.

    Fixing Eddie

I came up with 13.08 MPG. If that’s correct, not bad for a carbureted 351 and a C6 transmission.
  14. https://www.carolinaclutch.com/luk-solid-flywheel-conversion-kits/ford-solid-flywheel-upgrade-luk-clutch-kit Don’t know if they have the clutch kit and flywheel in stock.
  15. The motor I got for the rear window in my Bronco was backwards, I decided to live with, but then I couldn’t. Pain in the rear, but I got it. Irks my turtle that they come that way.
  16. I have four of those stools, very handy. I put a bundle of rags or a pair of winter gloves over the hood latch. Usually after I’ve butchered myself!
  17. Not too bad on the price, depending on the condition of course. Some folks on craigslist are asking way too much lately.
