  1. Welcome! Of all the bikes I owned, the KLR650 was my favorite!
  2. I had a vibe that was u joints. Looked at them twice. Thought they were ok. Finally jacked up the truck and could see they were bad when I rotated the driveshaft. Something to consider if you don’t find anything else.
  3. https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/genoa-wd-ford-250-diesel/7386043050.html Not too bad on the price.
  4. I was getting a leak from my bypass hose after replacing the radiator and all hoses and clamps. I’ve had to check all clamps two or three times now, and will again soon. Makes me grumble and wonder if we can get good hose clamps anymore. Looked into tension clamps but haven’t found any that I like.
  5. I would like a decal, but I’m having no luck with the email through the website. grumpin61@gmail.com
  6. That's for sure! Nothing against Toyotas, but the ones from the 80's were small. Yes, no ill will intended. I had an 87 4Runner, had enough trouble with itself, let alone a motorhome on it.
  7. Sorry to hear about the problems, but you’re learning your truck quick! I like the wheels and tires. I like raised white letters. Funny, one of the guys was kidding with me when I bought tires for our Suburban at my favorite local tire shop. I said I wanted the RWL’s out, he says “nobody does that anymore”. I laughed and said I’m that way, my era you know. When they were done and pulling it up front I stood and watched the Burb go by. Looked good, didn’t see him behind me watching also, he says “man, that looks good!”
  8. The pricing seems old, but the thing that sounded odd at first was the EEC in 84 with fuel injection in 85. But I’d forgotten that the carbs were EEC controlled.
  9. I got sound. Sounds good, looks good! Do you have heat going to the air filter assembly? I’m not a carburetor ice fan. Man, that Bronco is great!
  10. https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/roseville-1987-ford-250-xlt-lariat-4x4/7384591388.html Nice bricknose! Edit: Interesting that the seats only have the armrest on the inside. My 86 has armrests on both sides. My 92 Bronco has just the insides.
  11. I used MEK throughout my career…explains a lot!
  12. I had a 1968 C10. I have a scar on my left hand when the passenger fender well fell on it when I was putting it back together. I was sure it was from changing the heater core, but couldn’t remember, I think you jogged my memory!
  13. One of the ladies at the parts store who usually works the counter, was the cashier today, she saw the year and remarked, “oh it’s an 86.” “I had an 86 Bronco, it was the easiest heater core I ever did!” I asked if it had A/C, she said it did. I was slightly encouraged!
