  1. I’m not sure I have an answer. What I do is use the topics view and look at all the new posts which are blue, ones that haven’t been posted on remain purple. I stay logged in and the only time it doesn’t work is if I clear the history for some reason. So my thinking is I’ll see it if it’s new.
  2. I agree, the hood channel and front bumper mounts I have used aren’t ideal. The mid roof is best, but like you I cannot drill a hole in the roof. I have a Wilson 1000 mag mount for cb’s and 10 meter. Works great and good SWR’s. I have a dual band mag mount for my VHF/UHF radios. I mounted one of the the mobile radios to a cheap cutting board I bought and carry it to whichever vehicle I’m driving.
  3. A 1995 would definitely be a roller block. I think the 351 was from 1994-up. My friend Chris has one for parts…a 1997 single wheel F350 4x4 with 351 and E4OD. It was a late built ‘97, but still the old Aeronose body. I thought about using that engine, but I am drawn to the 5.0 for some reason. A roller 351w is the best small block ever in my opinion. That would have been a sweet truck. No wonder it sold quickly. Yeah, I agree, sweet truck. Actually I would rather have the one your friend had, the F350 single rear wheel, 4x4, with the 351 and E4OD. I don’t think I’m going to find one.
  4. I like the connector in the back of the cab. Have you thought of mounting the antenna elsewhere? I have used one of these several times. http://www.firestik.com/CatalogFrame.htm Or a roof mount, which I would never do. Had one once though because the PO drilled the hole in the roof. http://www.firestik.com/CatalogFrame.htm Edit: Those links didn’t work. Up at the top of the page click on mounts and accessories, you’ll find hood channel and roof mounts.
  5. Me too, on the coffee and watching! I’m excited and it’s not my engine! A roller block, sweet! I found a truck I would like to get, a 1995 F250, 4x4 with the 351 and E4OD, 144,000 miles on it. Saw it last night on craigslist, located in Reno Nevada. $8500 By the time I got home from my out of town stuff I had to do it was gone! A 1995 351 should be a roller, I think.

That is sophisticated, whew! Had to stretch my lips to get that big word out! It’s fancy! The corporate jets I worked on had a fan for the sensor, located next to one of the seats. Not a real good place for it. People would put things there and block the fan and the cabin would get warm. I was on a flight one day with passengers, probably dozing off, and someone asked me to tell the pilots it was getting hot. It doesn’t suddenly do that uncommanded, usually, so I ask the guy sitting in that seat if there was anything between the seats and he pulls out a newspaper he had put there. I said there we go it’ll cool back down now. He asks how did you know that and I explained what was going on. He thought that was pretty neat.
  7. Sure! If I was doing what you do, well I wouldn’t, but if I did I would have shot my computer last night!
  8. No problem as it is. Don’t mean to cause more work. I understand not wanting to pin more things.
  9. Have you thought of pinning WHYDTYTT? Make it easier to find for us lazy folks!
  10. I didn’t done it, but anywho, I took my truck in to have the front end checked out as I was convinced some stuff was loose and or worn. Ended up being the shocks. The mounts were bad enough to make some rattles. I had planned on changing them. So before I took truck in I was looking into getting some. At the time I couldn’t find any online for the front I believe it was. My favorite local parts store had some, a little more costly, but they had them. When the shop called he started to give me the options, which I think meant he was having trouble finding some. I say think because I interjected and said I have them, he said great problem solved. I’m on my own as far as warranty goes, which I understand. I noticed yesterday it’s stance is better, sitting a little higher, at least to me, and I could be losing it. Rides much better.
  11. Nice job! I think that altimeter will be interesting to have on board.
  12. Nice! I’d like to have that. But a bit pricey. That compass/altitude gizmo in the middle of the dash has the name of the company I used to work for. Must have been a give away or safety handout.
  13. I've updated Big Blue's map to include where he was made - Twin Cities. And I cropped it so there's less white space, which makes it easy for even these old eyes to read. Interesting!
  14. I think looking around where the blower motor is, is a good idea. I would be surprised if it got damp and had enough time to get musty.
