  1. Funny! I did the opposite. Got a Gem Top topper with double doors, always wanted one like that, then sold it because I needed it off a lot and I got finicky about putting garbage in there. I do garbage runs for a non profit every two or three weeks.
  2. Cool truck, and I love the topper(?)...we call them "Caps" around here, but I know they have a lot of different names depending on who you're talking to. Cap, topper, camper shell, etc. Out in the west caps or toppers are called canopies!

  4. I figured you had thought of it. Would be cool for a permanent installation.
  5. Great job! Looking at that now, is there a way to run the coax through the cargo light?
  6. Good eye! Seats and console are definitely 92-96, and I don't think third brake lights were federally mandated until around 1994, so it's likely a late aeronose top as well. I didn’t catch that. My 92 has a third brake light.
  7. These are all excellent points and thoughts. Makes me feel better about where my trucks stands in terms of MPG - prolly should nick-name 'er "Gas Pig" I think it has a shift kit because the shifts are firm. The torque converter I’m thinking may slip less than stock. About the best you can do without a lockup converter. My Bronco is pretty consistent at 15 MPG on the highway. My Xterra does a little better, but it doesn’t have the grunt!
  8. The antenna looks good. Nice work on your step!
  9. Good to hear! Good work!
  10. The phone numbers and websites on the decals are the information part. And some are just fun or are a memory. My manuals are in another cabinet!
  11. Put one decal on my cabinet of information and lubrication!
  12. With my 460 and C6 I’ve gotten 10-11 on the freeway, which surprised me, I expected al little worse. 8ish around town. Short trips and stop and go hurt, and 4WD for extended periods in the winter. I know the original owner towed RV’s. I suspect there might be an aftermarket torque converter in the tranny and a shift kit. And the way it idles maybe an RV cam. These are gut feelings and I could be wrong.
  13. I have learned to do the first code first and it may clear later codes, so you are correct in doing 41 first.
  14. I was trying to be funny, mine didn’t come with a catalytic converter.
  15. At least they won’t be stealing the catalytic converter off my F250!
