  1. Not anymore. I threw in a few bids and brought it up to where it is now, but I don't want it that bad since it's outdated technology and in my eyes is only good for a restoration, or somebody who REALLY wants one. Yeah, I agree, wouldn’t mind having one for originality, but too many LEDs at cheaper prices
  2. I like the hose clamp idea. Better than what I have now!Edit: Went and looked today. The lock and hose clamp won’t work on ours. Guess a handle lock would keep anyone from opening it.
  3. On a serious note. I have thought of getting one of these and painting it and store my original. Looked at flow through tailgates and don’t like that idea when I’m not towing all the time. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/shi-575-71?seid=srese1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhITshNue9AIVnB-tBh3h2wbhEAQYAiABEgJsIPD_BwE Edit: I just checked $124 to ship it! Ouch!
  4. It's been sitting there for the last few days at that same price. I don't know if there's a reserve, but I'm expecting there to be a bidding war on the last day. Are you bidding on it Shaun?
  5. Correct, I want to minimize under hood heat cause I dont know how much heat the sniper can reliably handle let alone the DSII module. From what Cradin informed me he said you really dont want ceramic coating on the inside, he said to me for the best thermal insulation I would want to have ceramic coating on the outside and a layer of soot on the inside to layer the insulating effect. This is his website here. http://www.cradin.com/ He does all kinds of stuff from internal engine coats, to CNC machining, as well as aerospace work. This is what it says under the Crading Aerospace header. Cradin Aerospace, Inc. is a 100% woman owned and managed company. We handle all “aerospace” applications such as, material testing (Lockheed Martin) associated advanced material developers; aircraft component coatings (Mooney Aircraft, Texas Skyways and numerous homebuilders). We have done some repair application for Pratt & Whitney (San Antonio); manufacturer of the LUFA spherical bearings (both plain and rod ends) and so much more. Rusty and Gary, does the color really make a difference on something so thin that gets so hot? I’m not being facetious about this, just curious.
  6. Ha! Maybe so. But I think people are collecting those old CB’s now.

  9. I have that air cleaner if you need a picture let me know. Unless Bill has one already.
  10. Wow! Good work, impressive! I don’t think I want to do that.
  11. That’s right. Must be junkyard only now. On the recent one you mentioned, I remember that, (for what that’s worth!), weren’t they able to clean up the one they had?
  12. I think it’s fine. I didn’t have trouble navigating. Makes sense to me. Interesting what Bill mentioned about the 460 air cleaner.
  13. Isn’t this it? https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/trucks/exterior/windshield-wipers/d8bz-17618-a-ww-reservoir-wo-pump-w?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=11654029601&utm_content=116098449809&utm_term=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzpP4_tyV9AIVwQp9Ch1FrwGMEAQYAyABEgIvZ_D_BwE Edit: found this in a google search. Found it on the website, third page in the radiator section. Under cooling system.
  14. Cool! Thanks for documenting this!
