I believe that is a shipping plug that is in the dipstick tube from assembly. Looks like no one has had the tranny oil pan off or left it in there. Others should confirm this.

Yes, not much info. I believe it’s a 460 with the bypass hose off the water pump and intake.

Interesting. I don’t remember seeing the Pro Seal brand outside of aviation. They make a fuel tank sealant that is great. Used it to seal many things.

Cool! Good point on the axle, nice truck to have. I think an IDI would handle 60 MPH on flat ground with the four speed and assuming it has 4.10’s. The 88 I used to have (7.3 IDI) would pull good on flat ground with a 30 or 31 foot travel trailer I pulled for someone. But the mountain passes sure slowed it down!

Monroe Gas Magnums is what I use. A reputable shop I use recommended the same shocks for our Suburban from NAPA. One of the Monroes I put on was blown but that Suburban is a lead sled and I installed them 7 or 8 years ago. And my wife laughed and said she had taken it off road on some rough stuff.
