  1. Ha! Didn’t even catch that. What fun! Edit: Not that I can think of. I was thinking the other day that my Bronco has been very dependable, the best I’ve had since I sold my 1968 Chevy C-10.
  2. My bad! I saw the rear were for the bullnoses, assumed the front were.
  3. When I was at the junkyard on Saturday and went around and checked a few different 1987-1996 trucks to see if I could grab a couple of the later style striker posts. Does anybody know if they will work as-is on the Bullnose doors? I thought I had read over on FTE that the later style striker post introduced in 1987 replaced the previous 1980-1986 version. Anyway...I noticed...and maybe you guys already know this, but on the later trucks, the striker post can be removed from the plate/bracket. I grabbed a couple from a 1994, and found a 3rd one on a believe a 1995. And the striker bolt can be threaded right out of the plate... So I went back over to a 1987 F250 that was there, and while the door striker post looked exactly the same, the post would not thread out, same as the Bullnose ones. Not sure when the change took place...1992 maybe? Anyway, I just wanted to try them and see if they fit OK, and it will be nice to have the ability to slip new bushings on. If the bracket part doesn't fit, I'll just cut it off and round out the edges to make it look like a washer. I put them on my 86.
  4. Yee haw! More smiles from an old bullnose!
  5. I use these on my truck and Bronco. Usually find them AT Bi-Mart, maybe NAPA. http://www.floridafreshner.com/accessory_detail.php?prd=1478#.XW09vBplChA
  6. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fd/full.aspx?Page=14 These work?
  7. I did my stereo, it’s light too, with stacked cardboard and the handyman’s secret weapon (Red Green), duct tape!
  8. Worked with a pilot that flew part time for us. He flew for Horton’s if I remember right. Liked that guy!
  9. Outstanding! Well done Dave. Can't wait to see it outside in the sun with the bed on it! This thing is going to look wicked! Nice!
  10. Thanks, may have to check out the silicone hoses!
  11. Speak for yourself! Not here in the high desert.
  12. I second the BFG’s. They do better on black ice than others I have had.
  13. These old mirrors needed a place to go, and I'm happy to see them spend some time on I-40 for Bullnose MPG testing! They might decrease drag, but they'll also decrease your rear view...lol. I just cleaned them up. They're not perfect, but they'll look just fine at 60mph. Awesome! Mighty kind of you Cory!
  14. That’s great! Good to find that piece(s) of the puzzle.
  15. That’s fine. I think you’ve spent enough time on this!
  16. I just did this exact job (replacing my stock pan with one with a drain) on my truck earlier this month - it wasn't a difficult task, but it was extremely messy. You have a C6 transmission, right? If so then we use the same parts...here's what I used: Transmission pan w/drain Transmission gasket Transmission filter I haven't driven my truck but maybe 50 miles since I did the work (I'm prepping for a road trip in a few weeks, so it's been down a lot for preventive maintenance), but everything seems fine from a transmission perspective - no mechanical complaints, no leaks, no nothing. My only gripe with any of it was that I didn't care for the hard plastic washer for the drain plug on the new pan, so I picked up a softer neoprene one from Ace and used that instead. Worked great. Nice info Matthew! I have that gasket and after looking at the drain pan you linked, I think that’s a must have!
  17. Good observation, I’m up to date.
  18. Nope, it disappears when I scroll. Edit: tried tapping where it’s supposed to be and no joy!
  19. LOL! I had to look that one up! I didn't mean to come across so ....... adamant. But, unless there are lots of people going to garysgaragemahal.com then a home page won't help us much. However, I have found a way to create a pop up for the first visit to the site. It isn't cheap but at least I know it can be done. So, if we decide that a pop up to explain what we are about and how to use the site is needed then that is a possibility. He also said “I’m getting too old for this ”!
