  1. I don’t know if this is the same. I just put an aftermarket gauge on my truck because my stock gauge is sometimes showing high, as in pegged. Running around on the flats the new gauge stays at 195°. The stock gauge had been acting ok after installing the new gauge. Drove over the mountains the other day and the new gauge got up to 205-210° (maybe higher, fuzzy memory suddenly) while climbing, and the stock gauge pegged all the way to the right. Funny, before I climbed the second pass the new gauge showed 195° and the stock gauge came back to the L in NORMAL, where it usually runs. The new gauge showed 205-210° while climbing and the stock gauge went up a little. Don’t know the history of my radiator, may change it. I don’t like the temp. going up while climbing through the mountains when I’m empty. My other gauges work good as well. HTH.
  2. I’m still suspicious of the clutch. Or an intake leak.
  3. Gary, I emailed those pictures of the door lock bezels to you.
  4. I do, LMC has always been fair with me. So not a bad complaint, but a suggestion. I ordered the bezels for the power door locks on my truck. The drivers side was fine, but the passenger side had the “decal” on backwards or upside down. Can’t remember exactly. They ended up taking it back, both actually because they quickly sent another when I told them about it. Even sent pictures to help. I was tempted to peel the decal off and put it back on. But decided I was not going to do that on a new part I paid for. My suggestion is to have someone who could understand what was going on. I really wanted to get it right for people ordering in the future. Couldn’t get anyone to understand what was wrong. Ended up finding a better than the one I had in a pick and pull.
  5. I’m guessing cylinder hone.
  6. The shifter broke in the 88 7.3 with the ZF I used to own. Pulled up to a stop sign reached over for the shifter, couldn’t find it, look over and it’s laying on the floor! My wife had drove it before, so naturally...
  7. I was watching for those wild burros last Thursday. Drove from Lake Havasu City to Phoenix for a Diamondbacks game.
  8. Same as Ray. If it’s vertical, yes, if not I don’t put any oil in it.
  9. I wonder if contractors, to fight fires for the USFS, want this because things they need are already there. And it’s a nice low miles truck!
  10. I have these on my truck and Bronco. https://www.carr.com/product/the-hoop-ii/
  11. That’s too bad. I learned that the FSM says to dip them in ATF and let them drip before install. A lot of times they get too much grease and people complain they won’t work in cold weather.
  12. Warm starting issues can be your timing advanced too far. Mine did that when I got it, it was at 22° BTDC.
  13. Let us know, I couldn’t find one. Skeptical anyone has one.
  14. I'd say that thing was in great condition for a northern US truck...the low mileage preserved it well. A tip of the hat to you guys for putting your own tires on the rims...haha, that's a great job. Welcome!
