  1. No weather on this one. Cobra 148GTL, SSB. Yeah it’s quiet most of the time. I did get a radio check pretty quick though.
  2. After I found the bad connection, only the rear tank would cut out. Found the bad pump by jumpering the oil pressure wires for the fuel pump relay and letting the pump run until I heard it stop. That is without the engine running so I could hear it better.
  3. The best point made, is to wait for the NTSB to conclude their investigation. Amazing what they find sometimes.
  4. What Bill said, I know people who’ve had rough running PSD’s and an oil change cured it.
  5. I had an in tank pump that would quit when it got warm, as in after I had driven for awhile. Also what Jim touched on, I also had an intermittent cut out from a bad connection on the oil pressure switch for the fuel pump relay.
  6. I guess this CB talk got to me. Threw a CB in my truck today!
  7. Wow! I like the gravel! Not good on windshields sometimes, but better than that stuff or salt.
  8. I forget about the salt sometimes. Until some bureaucrat wants to start using it here! I see quite a few bullnoses around that are still working on the ranch. Some with plows.
  9. Looks like my coil is still within spec... According to the link you posted, a good coil should read between 0.4-2 ohms on the primary side, and between 6,000-15,000 on the output side. My existing 35 year old Ford coil reads 1.3 ohms and 8,460 ohms. The new aftermarket one I picked up today reads 3.0 ohms and 11,870 ohms. Maybe I'll install the new one and keep the old one as a spare. I've been meaning to put together a little behind the seat kit with the old truck essentials...lol. Sounds good! IIRC the one on my Bronco was like 13K, a little high I thought. Put the new one on and no more cold start problem!
  10. Agree. The ones you have should be fine, assuming the were knew with the engine. You can check your coil with a multimeter. https://itstillruns.com/test-ford-ignition-coil-5941137.html
  11. My F250 has the least miles! Edit: I agree with Gary, those plugs look too good to me. Lean.
  12. IMO, no. Hardly hear anyone anymore. Took it out of the vehicles I had them in. Got a Ham license, pretty quiet there too. Could be me. Had one in every vehicle I have DD since I was 16. I think I still have my old license somewhere for CB’s. Used to talk to truckers, friends and whoever. Great for traffic and “bear” reports. Might put one in again someday. I have 4 or 5 plus a base unit.
  13. That doesn't surprise me one bit. lol. Nope! I tried to get a factory CB for a Kawasaki Voyager I used to have, $400-500 if remember right. Way too much for me!
  14. Could be the radiator. I saw new belts and hoses in your post, but not the radiator. I’ve had radiators do what you’re describing.
  15. I have one of these. Works good. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/diagnostic-testing-scanning/lcd-automotive-multimeter-with-tachometer-kit-95670.html
  16. On the dash pad, I put a note on my phone, hopefully I remember to look at it when I pull the dash pad again! Looking at the dash, over the glove box, counting from the right. Mine are screws 2, 5 and 8.
