  1. Thanks, I was thinking the other day I need to clean that windshield. What do you mean by clay bar? I’ve never done that.
  2. I have watched my stock gauge go high and the aftermarket gauge stay at the same temperature.
  3. Nope not a thing anywhere from them or others. I guess I should talk to them to CMA should it crap out on me. Gives me something to do today when they open I don't think I would have issues when cold as it does not get that cold here. What does worry me is the Lucas oil I put in the trans is rated GL-4 / GL-5 and they say the GL-5 is not good for yellow metal in trans. Now someone said use Purple Max as it said will not hurt yellow metal but I looked at it yesterday and it is rated GL-4 / GL-5, the same as Lucas but has on the "bottle will not hurt" so what gives? I did find on the shelf Penzoil rated for GL-3 could that be used? Dave ---- Redline MT90 is recommended for GL1, 3 and 4 applications. IIRC that was the reason it was recommended for the Toyota manual transmission.
  4. I like that Redline MT90 oil. It was recommended to put in my 4Runner manual transmission. An improvement in cold, hot and in between shifting!
  5. Now that I have one coming the homemade one will last for ever Dave ---- Carry it in your glovebox and it sure will!
  6. Good job! Thanks for letting us know.
  7. Welcome! My truck wasn’t stopping so well, the calipers were stiff, replaced those and adjusted the rears and freed up the self adjusters and so much better.
  8. It just seems they aren’t wiping cleanly, if that makes sense. I get some skip, I assume from trying to get it cleared up. Should be enough spring pressure as they are fairly new, but of course we know that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
  9. I like the lights in the bed idea. My cargo light illuminates the top of my big toolbox and the top of the tailgate!

  11. This is for my 92 Bronco. It came with side pin wiper arms and I changed them to j hooks. I still don’t like how they wipe. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on which one to use. My 86 still has the side pins and they work good. I guess it could be the windshield. They don’t wipe clean, hard to see through.
  12. I guess I’ve been out of the rust belt for a long time! If that’s surface rust, my truck doesn’t have any rust!
  13. I didn’t say anything because I mainly look at 4WD’s. If I wanted the truck I would be in the $2500-3000 range.
  14. Nice! The links were the two different pictures for me.
  15. Wonder where his cousin was from...
  16. It will probably be worth it when the current one breaks, if it does. I bought that auto trans indicator today. I hem hawed about it then thought that it would be worth it. Nothing wrong with mine that I know of, just in case.
  17. To my door was $1608, I ordered it back early March just before this virus hit and messed up when I got it. It is now hot here, been in the 90's and humidity about the same just killer outside. The Gear Vender OD is over $3000 and could not spring for that. Also did not think it would work the way I wanted it to. I would like to split granny and the GV you have to be going 30 MPH before it will work. This is a safety because it works like and auto transmission and the pump that makes it work has to be going that fast. I have not seen it in a Bullnose. What I have found they don't get into how the shifters, OD, main trans and maybe 4x4, all fit. They do say the floor or in our case the bolt in pan, has to have the opening moved back 7-1/2". I have the pan from my parts truck, SROD trans, and the main hole is back farther than my T18 is so hope I don't need to cut & weld much. Now I am going from the T18 to a NP435 and it has a different shape to the stick so I don't know how it will fit till installed. I did find something cool when researching this the larger trucks F500+ have a cut back on the seat bottom to clear the shifter stick. If I knew this I would not have scrapped the seat bottom I had as I could have made it work the same but 80% of the springs were gone and why it went away. I do have a line on another full seat I might try this on we will see. I think the hardest part(s) drilling the 8 hole in the frame to move the cross member back, If the speedo cable will reach and if the stick will clear the seat. In between the rain today I plain to swap car out of my garage into the house garage and get the truck in, maybe start the swap. Stay tuned LOL Dave ---- I’ve looked into these Rangers before. Cool! Hope it turns out well for you. I’m anxious to hear the results.
