  1. Looks like the second photo has been "touched up" to me. The bumper trim and no reflector on the fender.
  2. Going by the engine picture in the ad, the carburetor is on an angle. That would be an old Edelbrock Torker 289 intake manifold. As far as I know, that intake has been out of production for decades. It was replaced by the Torker II. Oh OK, thanks Cory. They're talking about an original Torker then.
  3. I know I mentioned this antenna, but thought you might be interested in what Walcott says about it. https://www.walcottradio.com/wilson-1000-magnet-mount-antenna-900800-880900800b-p-415.html
  4. I'm not sure what an original torker intake is. Thought that was an Edelbrock name. Not too bad. But for $3500...
  5. Great customer service. Had a CB repaired by them. Arrived damaged in shipping. They were very helpful and got my costs covered by the shipping company. They sell radios and accessories also. They have a back log of work, had to wait three months to get it repaired.
  6. Hi Gary, could you add Superior CB to the review list please? Thank you!
  7. I bought a small Uniden Pro 520 and returned it. Noisy and could not get out or receive very well. I bought a President Bill and that little radio impressed me. Did a radio check after install and talked to a trucker at a local truck stop 5 miles away. Also wanted to say Walcott doesn't work on older radios anymore, over 20 years old I think they told me. I bought a Uniden Grant XL and wanted it checked and tuned. Found Superior CB in Ontario California. Had to wait awhile because he's backed up with work. The CB arrived damaged after repair, contacted Superior and they filed a damage claim and helped a lot. They are sending a check for the cost of my radio plus shipping and the repair, that they got from the shipping company. Highly recommend them. They also sell radio equipment and accessories. https://superiorcb.com/general-repairs-service/
  8. If you have a step bumper I would mount one of these on the flat top of the bumper. And I’ve seen people use these on a fender. I’d support it inside the fender if possible. https://www.walcottradio.com/hustler-ssm1-heavy-duty-ball-mount-and-spring-p-2479.html You’re right, going to need something stout to hold a 102” whip at speed. I’m sure you’ve seen the clips that hold the antenna while not in use. I’ve recommended the Wilson 1000 mag mount, and it has a pretty long whip on it, 62”, I think. At least it seems long on the roof of my truck. Edit: forgot the link!
  9. I would also check the vacuum line to the transmission modulator. It's on the firewall junction. The modulators can leak and destroy that vacuum line.
  10. I see you have decided, but thought I'd mention, I put a Champion in the 86 I used to own and have one in the Bronco. I'm happy with them, fit was good, installation was good. Cooling is good. I'm starting to ignore a lot of reviews now, some people complain if you hang them with a new rope!
  11. Hi Bradley, you're name in the signature will help those of us with bad rememberers! Jim, glad to hear that! The dancing around a fire thing!
  12. I've used these with good luck. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NF_LF12
  13. Do you have any LED bulbs installed? They don't always flash properly.
  14. Wow! First thing I thought of was something on the flex plate was bad, but you checked that. If the tranny was acting up I would be suspicious. I've never heard a tranny make a noise like that, but it is an E4OD and some have had problems. I associate E4OD problems with torque, I had a 94 F250 with a 460, with one and it was problematic. I have one in the Bronco and it's great. I also might think water pump but the noise seems too far back. I'm not helping, but boy, that sounds terrible!
  15. I lucked out on the turn signal switch. It was still working good when I sold it. I believe it was from Autozone, so I'm assuming made by Standard.
  16. ^ What Ifitaintbroke said. It took some time and patience. I had a tilt wheel, there might be something holding it in place or it was replaced before and someone tie wrapped or taped the wires. Edit: Typo
