At one aircraft maintenance shop I worked at we used MEK to clean fuel injectors.
MEK never used to bother me, then one day I went and got the injectors I was cleaning and the heated fumes got to me.
Now I can't stand the smell of MEK.
To get the EGR to work, in my opinion, you will need everything in the emissions system there and working.
I tried several different ways to get the EGR on the 86 I used to own to operate with no luck. I blocked it off.
The folks in Colorado have a similar joke. "Flatlanders with 4WD are so much harder to retrieve since they get out so much farther than with 2WD before getting stuck." I was the flatlander with 2WD. But it still took two trucks with winches.
"Flatlanders"!
Haven't heard that term for awhile. Heard it a lot when I was around the logging industry!
That's a big window and the same size motor as the front door windows.
My Bronco seems slow with a new motor in it.
As Gary said, clean and lube the weatherstripping.
