  1. Of course when I read it this morning I get it!
  2. I was on the Tripoli during that time period. On quite a few ships actually, training and such, getting pilots carrier qualed. That could be exhilarating sometimes! But spent a few weeks on the Tripoli. A shakedown cruise I believe. A lot of newbies.
  3. No, don’t really know anything about them. Hoping it might help. Too bad they don’t have as much as they used to.
  4. I found this site before I found the AC brackets for my truck in my local pick n pull. https://www.cvfracing.com/
  5. I would like to say after this summer, that I’m thinking of taking the valve out and hooking up the heater core as stock. With the forest fires I use the Max A/C to keep as much of the bad air out that I can. It wasn’t real hot out one day, but hot enough for A/C, and I don’t want the vents or to open the windows. There is no controlling the temperature. It was just cold, without the heater core being warm all I could do was turn down the fan.

  7. Can’t remember if this was posted before. https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/d/bend-1985-lariat-f250-4x4-diesel/7228736910.html It’s got a tach. Scott!

  9. I call dibs if you ever want to find out Ha, twinsies!
  10. That is cool! I have a 2 meter radio about that size, about a 12 inch mag mount antenna on my freezer in the garage, works great. Had it mounted in a Mazda 626 I used to own. Now I usually listen to the local sheriff’s dispatch with it. I’m assuming Jim was talking about a HAM license. You have one right? I’m curious how you like it when you use it. May have to get a GMRS license also. No test, just money. Edit, I like the usb charge point on my President Bill, charge my power bank or phone when I don’t want to mess with it hooking up to the stereo.
  11. Ha! Well, this is why it's cool that we can all share our projects on here huh? It would be cool if we all lived within driving distance of each other and could share our projects in person. However, online does the trick pretty well these days. When this truck is finished I will probably sell it or the other one. I can't see me keeping two of them. One of the underlying reasons of THIS project is so that it would keep me from selling my 1984 Flareside...lol. Whoa! Time for some intervention here! Buyers remorse?! Sell one?! Go easy now, you don’t even have cabin fever yet, I wouldn’t think. I think of selling my Bronco sometimes, all I have to do is drive it usually. Of course if someone offered a I’m not selling type of offer I probably would. The truck too for that matter and I like them both. Not sure what I’d do if I sold the truck. Looking good! Keep at it!
  12. About $1000 too much for me. And I would pass because of the 302.

  14. I believe Murphys Law dictates it will fall out!
  15. That’s nice! Good engine!
