  1. As for missing options, the lack of a sliding rear window always catches my eye. However, if you read the dealer sheet, it was ordered with front limited slip diff, and you don't see that very often. Nice truck though, and mostly* loaded;). I noticed that front axle option, no rear puzzled me too! Hmmph! Guess I’m just puzzled about this one!
  2. Bill, you ever use Mopar Heat Valve Solvent? We used to use that on waste gates on aircraft piston engines. If they were stuck, that and a rivet gun and a block of wood. Let it sit fo awhile then hit it with the rivet gun, free them right up!
  3. That critter is too purty for me! If I sat in it I think it would spit me out! No Tach! Always puzzles me when a truck has so many options.
  4. Icing on the cake! Sorry, missed out on the cool jokes earlier!
  5. I don’t have a press either. I’ve quit fighting them. Took that short rear shaft with the double cardan joint in my Bronco to a local driveline shop and they did the u joints for $110. Just a week or so ago took them the rear shaft in my sons Jeep Liberty, $40.64! That Liberty driveshaft is a vibration waiting to happen! Has a damper on the shaft and a huge weight hanging off the pumpkin.
  6. I would say do both. The rings are working with the engine spinning. Not on a leak down unless you are rocking them as mentioned in another post. The leak down will help you determine what is leaking.
  7. I should have kept quiet and waited. Very good info. F834! Especially on the brands. I remember having swollen tips hoping they didn’t break off!
  8. Interesting about looking out the windshield. When learning to fly an airplane you learn quick to find the horizon to know your attitude. That’s why it’s hard to fly in fog or clouds, you have to trust your instruments! I guess it’s like riding a motorcycle too, keep your head straight and look ahead on the corners.
  9. If I remember right, on my 1988 with the 7.3, which has the same glow plug system I believe, I would check each glow plug to ground with the wire off. No continuity to ground it’s a bad plug. I also think that this could be indicative of a bad glow plug or several.

  11. I would be interested to know if it’s necessary. “The two utes”, the two what?
  12. Only problem I would see is getting an inexpensive SWR meter! I have an inexpensive 2 meter SWR meter, but not sure if it would do FRS/GMRS. Have read it will be in the ballpark.
