  1. https://www.roadprobrands.com/products/cb-microphone-holder-black I use these, but take off the double sided tape it comes with and put some on from your local hardware or what you might have on hand.
  2. Took my son to see BOC about 4-5 years ago along with Humble Pie! Humble Pie still had the original drummer! Let’s say he made me feel young, but still going at it.
  3. That sounds good, and as Gary and you did I won’t flush it. This morning it went right into gear.
  4. I like your thoughts on the drain. https://www.amazon.com/c6-transmission-pan/s?k=c6+transmission+pan
  5. You could add a switch. Then if your going in a store or restaurant you could keep charging, but if overnight, switch it off.
  6. Thanks! I agree, as I thought about it last night, my thought was change the fluid and filter and add some Lucas Trans Fix. I’m not a big “snake oil” fan by any means but have had luck with their power steering additive. The fluid level is good, usually the first thing I check. I’ve heard where folks say not to change the fluid, it’ll stir things loose and mess up the tranny. I don’t think that is right, IMHO, of course. Woke up with a little snow on the ground, so hopefully we will get a few good weather days to tackle it.
  7. Ok, thanks Gary and Jacob! I don’t know how old the fluid is. I haven’t changed it since I got the truck in February of 2017. It has about 160,000 miles on the truck. Something always comes up. Want to change the tranny fluid in a few vehicles. I’ll probably look into getting it rebuilt. We have an AAMCO here in town. And I’ve found a shop I like. So maybe time to get to know the AAMCO folks.
  8. It’s happened two or three times now, when cold and first start of the day, no go in drive or reverse. Today I waited a bit longer, but no engagement. However both times when I put it down in first it engaged then worked as normal in drive and reverse. Some research indicates that the front seal could be old and hard and it takes a bit to warm it up. Another idea is that the torque converter is draining and has to fill up. But those two don’t make sense to me as putting it in first helps. I think tomorrow I’ll go straight to first gear and see what happens. Anyone experience this on a C6 tranny?
  9. That does look good, nice installation! You’re still going to drill holes under it for the speaker, correct?
  10. Interesting, I’ve never seen that before that I remember.

Wow! Replacement smoke, pretty rare in my parts!

From my perspective that’s not wasted time, very good info for the future! Thanks.
  13. Easy is sometimes best. I agree with Bob, might want to use the radio with the truck off and securely parked! I don't plan on using my truck for trails, but I wired my CB direct to the battery, because there is only one cigar lighter power source and we have too dang many electronic devices!
  14. Nice truck! I like my Bronco. It’s “economical” for a truck! Problem is, it’s fun to push the go pedal! I don’t like the interior, it cracks, pops, snaps and whatever other synonym you can think of. I did get the squeaks cured though. But I put up with it!
  15. The clam burger was pretty gnarly...lol, lots of chewing to get through it. The scallop burger was on point though...nice big scallops enough so that you got a big fat one in every bite. They had shrimp burgers and lobster burgers on the menu, but I haven't tried them yet. They close around Christmas and won't be open again until April or so, so I guess it'll be next year. Good looking Ranchero and good looking food!
  16. Well, you could build a really nice truck for THAT kind of money surely... Wow!
