I don't have an oil cooler, and I towed heavy, at speed, over distance. (or used to) An aluminum intake will save you about 65 lb, just for starters.... And Edelbrock performer non EGR or the old version of the Weiand stealth are worthy upgrades without losing too much velocity or charge ram effect.

The holes in the exhaust ports are always open! When the engine gets to temp the air pump diverter valve opens, and forces air through the crossover check valve into the back of the heads. But three and seven or two and five I don't know.... they never fire at the same time, so hot exhaust gets pushed back and forth underneath the carb. If you have an aluminum intake do not use the turkey pan gasket...

You know..... Plastidip was made for this very purpose! 💡

I'm constantly, painfully, aware of sounds, smells, textures, and anything incongruous. I can hear a stumble or a lifter clacking from blocks away. It's a blessing, and a curse. It's a function of CPTSD and autism....

The block & pan should be grey. My pickup looked like it was packed full of shredded cheese (nylon cam gear teeth) It took me an hour with crocodile forceps to unplug it. If it's out change the pan gasket for a one piece style with washers at the bolt holes. Make sure the strainer is clean. RMS is a PITA. Don't touch it if it's okay. The filter adapter is a stock part for Mustangs and the like. Install with orange or red Loctite and an Allen wrench. What's wrong with the lower radiator hose, when going to a 70's chassis? Plenty of places make custom wrapped silicone pressure hoses for turbo builds. That hose is on the suction side of the water pump. It would be wise to put. a spring in there so it doesn't collapse before the coolant heats up and creates pressure in the system. 💡

A few feet of orange wire isn't gonna break you. Or, you could get a 240 one @15A

You don't need scalding to wash your hands. It's $100 for an under sink 120v unit..... 🙄 https://www.amazon.com/Tankless-Electric-Instant-Kitchen-Bathroom/dp/B0BRPW4XVQ/ref=asc_df_B0BRPW4XVQ/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=647310506369&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14447962510708189669&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1014778&hvtargid=pla-2161092483832&psc=1&mcid=df080040b4533bd9802284420e249e78

I think it's almost like a fusible link, with an insulation that won't burn.....

Personally, I just don’t understand the motivation of the genius guy who decided to reverse these wires colors. Completely counter-intuitive. Thanks to Gary, I learned that Big Brother was “normal”. I imagine their engineering drawings were different between the Motorcraft module factory and whoever they subbed the harness to. There was no CAD to revise all the different paper in different engineering divisions, so probably 'electronics' had a dyslexic drawing and after "stuff" was into production it was deemed best to 'just roll with it' -
You can buy the plug pigtail for the MC from Rockauto also. You can grab one at the junkyard if you have one close by with 90's pickups. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=50337&cc=1121971&pt=12098&jsn=519 I'm sure you're aware, but the ports are reversed front to rear on the later master cylinders. I ran all new lines at the time so it was a non-issue for me, but I think it's OK when re-using existing factory lines also...there's enough flex in them you can reverse them (others have done this). Yes, I've done it. You just coil one service loop tighter and relax the other....

Well, the '80's were 40 year older technology, and when you're on the move you need to fill the platypus and get the heck out of there.... Lifestraw works well enough for what it is. Exactly what"survival" means depends on the situation.

Can tow hooks or shackles be installed on an 85 F-150?

Well, there's about a buck and a quarter that could probably be better spent elsewhere. As they say, happy wife, happy life! -
My daughter and her husband are hikers. She has a SteriPen for multiple years. We used it for a two weeks canoe river trip, in deep woods, was very useful. We just offered one as Christmas gift to one of my sons. And I plan to buy one for my own uses. Tell me how well that works for hydrating an entire insertion team, on the run.

Those earlier LC had a strong following back then in southern Africa.

I've "camped" in places with no hot water for extended periods. You have to be careful of the microbes when you're not allowed to build a fire. Potassium permanganate is your friend in the jungle, but don't over do it or you'll look like you were eating beets. (I don't understand how some of those idiots survived )
