  1. They are the same exact badge. The MPC shows that they were used on Bullnose, Bricknose, and the little Rangers and B-II.
  2. That's helpful, Jim. Thanks! Not sure I should buy any more for me with Christmas coming, but I'll have to think about others.
  3. Thanks, Dane. I timed loading the first post of Big Blue's Transformation thread on here and it took 8 seconds. On the Lightsail servers it took 2 seconds, or maybe a bit less.
  4. I don't know but I like it better than $475.00! https://www.ebay.com/itm/87-91-FORD-F150-BRONCO-F250-F350-REAR-CHROME-STEP-BUMPER-ASSEMBLY-OEM-NICE/224266642791?hash=item3437556567:g:7WAAAOSwC4JfyYDc Interesting! That's a penny less than half the price. I wonder if that is why?
  5. That's nice, and not a bad price for an EB. Lots of good pics. But I expected a bit more in details. Still, I'm sure one could get that if interested.
  6. Yes, and I replied. I can't log in via the New Bullnose Test Forum link, but can via the link above.
  7. Ok, it appears to be something to do with it being embedded on the website. Go here and see if that doesn't work: http://bullnose-enthusiasts-forum.7.gabbleforum.org/
  8. I had some problems with that initially. But you really shouldn't have to log in again. It is a backup of this forum only a few hours old, so the ID and PW should be the same. In my case I'd changed my password and had forgotten that.
  9. We now have an instance of our forum's software, Nabble, running on Amazon Web Services' Lightsail servers. It is based on a backup I made from this, the production forum, this afternoon, so anyone that was a member at that time should be able to click on the New Bullnose Test Forum at the top right of the menu and check it out. You can post on that forum, but be aware that it is all throwaway. IOW, nothing posted there will come here. It is just there for test purposes. But please go check it out. The Lightsail servers are much less expensive than the full-blown AWS servers that were racking up a pretty sizable monthly bill until we shut them down. However I hope these servers will be plenty fast enough as well as reasonably priced. If in our testing they appear to be hunky dory then maybe Pedro can fix the email problem which prevents us from getting email notifications - of anything, such as new members registering or people posting. That's the main thing stopping us from migrating to the Lightsail servers from Nabble. So, please check and let me know.
  10. In that case, I guess my guess was wrong! Perhaps they were only on the F100 models? I truly do not know. I've never seen one of them, but the MPC sure shows them.
  11. My guess would be the 1980 and 1981 standard trim level trucks. Those first two years had different emblems and a different grille, which makes these models look unique. 1982 brought a lot of little changes to the Bullnoses - including the emblems - and the "4x2" and "4x4" emblems were probably dropped after that. In fact, I would group the Bullnoses like this: 1980/1981 1982 - 1984 1985/1986 Rick - That 4x4 badge has an E3TZ prefix on it.
  12. If I understand what you are saying correctly, that would still put all of the low beam's current through the headlight switch, just like before. The way I was thinking was using the center pin but thinking about it now it wouldnt work as doing it the way I thought of would mean the low beam would be on all the time unless I use another relay to break the power to the single relay which means I still end up with one relay for low beam and one for high beam. So I am still in the same point and would need a 8+ relay box to allow me room for expansion for more auxiliary lighting or if I decide to use a key hot for the sniper that is hot in crank as well as a trigger for a relay to supply straight battery voltage to the sniper at least this way the hand unit would actually show battery voltage and not battery voltage through the ignition switch. That's basically what I've come to - many times. I'm not saying it can't be done, but like Edison I've found lots of different ways that won't work to use only one relay. All I need to do is find one way that works, and I was hoping you'd found it.
  13. That's my point, Jim. I played with relay layouts a lot back when I was planning my harness and could not find a way to have full functionality with one relay. And I tried. But, if it can be done I'd sure like to know how. It would make things easier, for sure.
  14. So it's just a one-year thing in '83? Or do you know if it continued to '86? Cant tell from the catalog. Usually it says something like 83-86, but this time it doesn’t. All we know is that it was introduced in 83 and no other one was issued later. So for whatever years a 4x4 emblem was used it was that one.
  15. Thanks guys. But lets see what the truck drives like when I get the toe-in set properly. It may be quite livable at that point. But that won't happen until next week at some point.
  16. That was my thinking, Scott. So I'm now laying out the switch types in TurboCAD. Here's the first one:

  18. Well, I can't speak for all Bullnose trucks, but on Big Blue the brown wire at the clock plug has 12v with the lights on regardless of what you do with the dimmer. So I think that's a good source of a "lights on" signal. In fact, why isn't that connector a good source of many of the signals I need? Always Hot: On those circuits where I want to be able to bring something on at any time (fog lights, backup lights, aux power, battery parallel, and air compressor) I could use this as all it will be doing is to pull in relays or give the smart isolator a command. Switched Hot: For the switched circuits (front locker & aux power) this would pull in their relays. Lights On: As said, this appears to be a good source to bring the fog lights' relay in. Ground: This will just be for the LEDs Thoughts?
  19. Ok, here's a pic of the linkage from the front with the weight on it. The red arrow shows the end of the track bar, and you can see the other end of it attached to the axle. (And the Royal Purple bottle and the paper towels on the floor show my ill-fated attempt to cleaning drain the PS/hydroboost system. ) And here's a shot from the other side.
  20. Yeah, I've never seen them on anything official from the era. But the emblems are on LMC and DC along with the regular emblems so who knows... From our page at Documentation/Exterior/Nameplates, a 4x4 badge is a Type 17: And a Type 17 is an E3TZ so came out in '83, and was apparently used on the tailgate and both front fenders:
