Looool! That explains lot of things! Yesterday, I had a short trip with BigBro (about 40km, 25 miles) and was surprised how fast the fuel level dropped. It's been two years I didn't drive it and, I admit, I forgot how much he is thirsty. In fact, I was almost suspecting a hole in the gas tank... Reading at you folks, I simply realize that BigBro runs smoothly and is just drinking "normally". Your 351W should do better than Dad's 351M, but not "good". These trucks have a drinking habit.

Choke Question, what would you do?
Gary Lewis replied to FuzzFace2's topic in Bullnose Enthusiasts Forum
Hopefully he set it up the factory way with the cold end connected such that it pulls filtered air from the air cleaner, as shown below for the 2bbl. Dave - If you want more or different insulation you might try this ThermaShield Wrap. I'm using it on Big Blue's dip stick. -

I agree. I've run a 12V Edelbrock choke that way. -

Right. No where near enough. But let's preserve the two that are there, neither of which show the crewcab or the bed - which is supposed to be its claim to fame. And here's the text: -
We've been discussing that here: Ecoboost swapped Bullnose F150. Can I move your post there?

Choke Question, what would you do?

Our Chevy Citation had more recall badges than places to put them. They ran from one fender to the other across the radiator support. -
Yes, I think he did say it was w/o cats and muffs. Perhaps adding muffs would tone it down. Interesting discussion here: What makes the 3.5 Ecoboost sound the way it does? Apparently I'm not the only one that doesn't like the EB's exhaust sound.

Assorted moulding pieces - NOS

That is an odd assortment. But that one bedside piece is probably worth what is being asked for all of them. -

I suspect you are right that the air is cooling the tubing. So if you can insulate the hot side it might help. -
That's a whole lot better than the sound on that Bullnose. But it still isn't "sweet". I guess I'm used to the exhaust of a normally-aspirated engine, and the turbos seem to mess that sound up. In Cars you can hear Doc Hudson's NA six, and it is sweet. But on that Bullnose you can actually hear the turbos, which I don't like, as well as the harsh note of the engine. On Blue and Janey's GLK you can't hear the turbos, and there's effectively no exhaust sound on either of them. Bottom Line: I like the results of turbos, but don't like the resulting sound.

You beat me to it, John. I was going to do the same thing. I am thankful for a lot of things, including God and Janey, but also y'all. I really like the community we have here. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Choke Question, what would you do?
Gary Lewis replied to FuzzFace2's topic in Bullnose Enthusiasts Forum
Didn't know that. Anyway, an electric choke would be easy. But the hot-water Pinto choke would be ... cool? What carb did they have and will the choke cap/stove fit a YF/YFA? -

Bill - That's a good idea. Here's a link to Mike's where he lists several choke stoves, so Dave would just have to get the right one. But, I found something else. Some folks on a forum about a car line called AMC, whatever that is, were talking about a Carter YF electric choke conversion. Anybody heard of an AMC? -
No, I hadn't seen that. But it is cool. However, I don't like the exhaust sound, which is consistent with what I've read - you really can't make the 3.5L EB sound good. But boy, do they RUN! I really like my '15, and it is basically the same as that '14 he used. Hmmm...

Welcome to the world of the internet, where EVERYTHING you do or search is tracked. I have my Google account linked to my phone, and so whatever I look up on my phone, gives me an ad for it on my laptop, and vice versa. Yes, it is all interconnected. I looked the lady up on LinkedIn, and called her. And looked up the cutting machine on Google. So all of that fed back to the advertisers.

Thanks. In a bizarre twist, I am now getting suggestions on Facebook to send the regional sales manager a friend request. I doubt very much that she wants to be my friend. On top of that, I'm getting lots of adverts on Facebook about sewing and/or quilting. It feels like my communications have been tapped.

And today we have the 420 page 1996 owner's manual/guide on the site, thanks again to Bill/85lebaront2. And it shows on the Manuals & Literature spreadsheet. -
Speaking of prices!

No, this says it’s a 22R, which is carbureted, and manual Aisin hubs, which are good hubs. Thanks for the clarification.
