  1. Oh, I should have said your T-19 probably has the close-ratio gear set with the 4.02:1 first gear. I forgot you have the diesel. But, I do have a wide-ratio T-19 I took off Big Blue...
  2. Jon - So you are both "bullnose1985" and "Ol'Blue85"? You've been a member as Ol'Blue85 for over 2 years. Man, you must really like the place to be a member twice. Yes, Big Blue is quite the rig. He made it to/from Ouray a couple of months ago in style, and ran the Jeep roads with no problem. And yes, his ZF5 is the wide ratio. Your T-19 should have the 5.11 first gear but the ZF5 has a 5.72. It'll go up or pull just about anything. And yet, on the highway at 70 the engine is only turning 2000 RPM. Good all 'round ratios. On the Trail 90, we aren't actively in the market but Janey would really like one. She's mentioned it several times. I'd love to put one in the bed of Big Blue and take her over to Missouri or eastern OK and let her have fun. So if you decide to sell or trade let me know.
  3. That model # doesn't show up in the master parts catalog, so I don't know anything about it. And the wire colors don't match anything in the 1981 EVTM, although I've not looked at the 1980 EVTM. But I'd bet the black wire is ground and the white or white/red is switched power and always-on power, or vice versa. I would pull that cover and see if it looks like the black wire goes to the chassis. Or use a DVM to check that. If so I'd put power to both white and white/red and speakers to the others and see if it works. If so, then experiment to see if white or white/red is switched.
  4. You will LOVE a shop. And if you are seriously considering building one I recommend a 12' ceiling. That will allow a full-height lift, and if you get one you'll wonder how you got buy w/o it.
  5. Well, you are blessed with her, and if she's not moving from MN then I guess you aren't either. But I like the four seasons we get here. Enough cold to say we had winter, and more than enough heat to know you had summer. And essentially no salt on the roads.
  6. Looks great! So now you can drive it a bit? Enjoy it some before you take it down for the engine and/or driveline?
  7. Your call on when to make him a member, obviously. But I'm trying to keep this so family-friendly that my daughter will let her 10-year old twins join some day. Anyway, you are on the map.
  8. Jon - Welcome! Glad you joined. What part of MO? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and can add you with a city or zip. Also, because you may be near me in the Tulsa area. Ol'blue sounds a lot like Big Blue. Beefed up a whole lot! You'll have to start a thread in the main section with pics. Let us follow the work you do on him. As for the Trail 90, both my wife and I had one, each, of those - years ago. And she wants one again. Yours for sale? Since '69 was the year we were married...
  9. Blake and Lincoln - welcome! Glad you two joined. But, we are family-friendly and it doesn't cost anything, so you could each have your own ID. I know Ray quite well. He used to live close to me and has been over to the shop many times. So, what part of Iowa are you in? We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we could add you with a city or zip. Nice trucks! All three. And that is a serious trailer! Welcome!
  10. Welcome! Glad you joined. You've come to the right place - we are learning as well, so we can learn together. Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and can add you if you'd like. Just need a city/state or zip. On the trucks, it looks like you are busy! Start threads on your trucks in the main section and we'll follow along. And post some pics, please.
  11. I agree, Bill. There’s no way Ford could time everything so they’d run out of the old parts at every plant on the same day. But they needed to train people to install parts “in this way”, so I’ll bet they consolidated the old parts to specific plants and used them until they were gone.
  12. That will work just fine. I doesn't need the top half. Or, you could get a 1986 or later VSS and plug it into the t-case. You'll have to extend the wires from under the brake booster, but it'll work just fine. In '86, for most of the trucks, they dropped the two-piece speedo cable with the VSS in the middle for the later VSS that has the driven gear on it. Then a one-piece speedo cable connects to it. But you don't need the cable, so...
  13. I kinda saw that one coming. Been there, done that, have the stories to tell.
  14. I'm with you, Dane. I don't think I could live where vehicles disintegrate. As we drove through Michigan there were vehicles that I consider "new" and they had holes in them.
  15. Yes, I am confident that the brackets won't bend. The weak link is now the aluminum tube of the step bars themselves. And while the tube was strong enough to pull the truck sideways, almost enough to pop the bead on the LR tire, it wouldn't be strong enough to be used as a rock slider. So some day, if I decide I need them, I might make more substantial steps that would serve as sliders. They would probably be out of square tubing so wouldn't look as good as the round steps with smooth bends, but they'd be a lot more substantial. Given that I wanted the brackets to be SOLID.
  16. Jim - You are now on the map. As for Mikski8604 and Nick/nlongo33, the former hasn't been seen in a while, but Nick check in every once in a while. You can contact them by clicking on their pin and then clicking on the email link in the popup. BUT, there's a problem with the email system at the moment, so sometimes it looks like it didn't work. The way to find out if it did is to tick the box to also send the email to yourself. But, there's a good chance that we can help you sort it out, even w/o being there.
  17. Ouch. Mine kept acting like the hose was clogged, but it would still feed water through when it was off, so I knew it wasn't blocked. I decided to check the reset plug (it's an electric pressure washer) and found the ground wire was missing some of it's insulation, and so I think it was arcing against something else in the plug. I gave it some liquid electric tape and then wrapped it with actual electric tape, and then today was the test. Seems to be working fine now so I guess that was it. Yes, ouch! Glad you solved your problem. But a bad ground in an electric pressure washer sounds dangerous.
  18. Hello, Jim! Glad you joined. So, where are you? Let's get you on the map. All we need is a city or Zip. Then maybe we'll know who those two members are. And, you are right. You need to start a new thread in the main section and tell us all about your truck. We do have a number of people who have expert knowledge on these systems, so can surely help you solve the problem(s).
  19. I understand how time gets away. But I'm sure the others appreciate your help, and you did get one door together. Looks good!
  20. I need to fix my pressure washer as well. Didn't get it completely drained last winter.
  21. Straight from Bill's memory: So Angelo's Motorsport catalog should show them? Cool! We might be able to track some down with the part number.
