  1. Did you try opening and then saving them with some app? Most apps read the meta data and rotate the pic properly. So opening and then saving usually fixes the pic.
  2. Yep. The adhesive/sealer around the windshield dries and cracks on these trucks. The right way to fix it is to remove the windshield, fix the rust that probably has started, and re-seal it. An interim fix is to use flowable RTV, but that doesn't fix any rust that has started.
  3. This illustration comes from Interior/Door Panels:
  4. Good to know. Thanks. I have several other things going right now, but hope to start the search in a few weeks.
  5. Bill - So since the frames didn’t really change an E4OD crossmember from up to the mid-90’s will work. Right? I not remember Darth’s donor but I’ll need to find one in a salvage. Jim - That’s nasty oil! But at that time of the morn I’d have it all over me. 🙁 Hope you get everything done today - your day sounds even more busy than mine.
  6. Thanks. Those are my observations as well. But I’ll give you another. On my iPad mini and iPhone you can’t use the full screen option on Scribd. It says that’s not available on that document, although it works on a Windows machine. But the Google approach does work for full screen. 👌
  7. Yes, that's what I was asking about - if it would flow in but still bridge a gap. Thanks for the explanation.
  8. That is ..... innovative. Interesting. Novel. As for rotating the pics, if you open them in an editing app and then save them it usually fixes them. You may have to play like you cropped it to be able to save it, but most apps have the smarts to see how the camera was held and fix the pic.
  9. I got a prompt asking for permission to your google drive. Sorry, I forgot to make it public. But it is now.
  10. That works nice Gary, I hope google searches work 👍 I just added the new way to post PDF's above the old way on the BW1345 tab on the Transfer Case page. Which do you like best?
  11. Well, I just learned another way place PDF's on the website. Check out the Using PDF tab that replaced the Using Word Doc tab. I think that Google can find the words/numbers in it, but we won't know for sure for several days.
  12. 10.3.3. I'm nervous to upgrade to 11, I've heard things about battery drain 😬 I'm running it on the iPad and haven't noticed any battery drain problems. But I have noticed that it is a bit slower - I think. And I haven't upgraded the phone as my app that keeps my gas mileage records doesn't run under 11.
  13. I'm missing the extra holes. Can you 'splain that again? And, I agree that the key difference should mean a part number difference. Doesn't the square key have the offset the opposite way than the round key?
  14. Glad it is working. Let's see, you have an iPhone 7? What iOS are you on?
  15. My guess is that it carries part # D7TZ 7563-B. Meaning that it is probably original. Remember, this truck won "Closest To Stock" at a show recently.
  16. Well, Dad's truck got put back in its place at the back of the shop so we can work on Scott's '78. (Those that came to the show know Scott and his truck.) Yesterday Scott's son was driving his truck and heard a pop when pushing in the clutch, and then couldn't shift it. Looks like something has gone wrong with the pressure plate as there's no additional pressure when you push the clutch pedal down. We can see the throwout bearing moving, but it doesn't seem to be hitting the fingers on the pressure plate or at least the fingers aren't pressing back. So, we will put it on the lift and pull the driveshafts and slide the tranny and t-case back to inspect. Any ideas of what the problem might be would be appreciated.
  17. I think I've turned the corner on how to do the documentation - spreadsheet. I've put the lube section of the 1985 owner's manual on the Using Spreadsheet tab of the Lubricant Specifications page. And I've tested it with these results: Windows machines running Chrome - works well 12" iPad Pro running Safari on iOS 11.0.1 - works well iPad Mini running Safari on iOS 11.0.2 - cannot see the spreadsheet at all iPad Mini running Chrome on iOS 11.0.2 - works well iPhone 6 running Safari on iOS 10.3.3 - works well So, please go check it out yourself and let me know how it works for you. If it appears to be working well then I'm confident this is the way to go as Google should be able to read the text so we'll be able to search for the info - in a few days after Google crawls the site again. And, I can do things with the spreadsheet, like inserting rows or columns, changing widths, etc to get the info usable. What 'cha think?
  18. Here's what I found. But I can't find a length on WC-8784 or E8TF 14431-AA or AB. Perhaps you can find that on the internet?
  19. Assuming the eBay listing is fairly accurate about the source of the hood release being advertised, then I think we have a number for the locking hood release for the 1980 - 84 trucks: D5DZ 16914-A. I say that because the pictures, below, of the one Kyle/First Today got for me some time ago are identical to the one in the eBay listing. Here's a pic comparing it to the non-locking release and you can see that they'll bolt up to the same holes. Further, they have the same grommet to go through the firewall, and the fittings on the end are exactly the same, so they will interchange. And, here are two pics taken from much the same angles as those Jonathan posted of the eBay release, albeit w/o the fancy fingernails: Last, here's the 1973-79 catalog entry:
  20. Well, having held my chrome-handled release just a couple of hours ago looking for a number on it, I can say that looks a lot like it. But I’ll go back up to the attic and compare it to the pic. And, I’ve already looked up in the 1973-79 catalog the part number for it, so can get back to it if they are the same. But, what confused me was the lack of a non-locking release in the catalog for the earlier trucks. And then Scott asked for some help on his ‘78. He was in the cab and I asked him to pop the hood. He looked at me kinda strange and got out and opened the hood. The earlier trucks didn’t have a release in the cab unless the had a lock! 😳
  21. If by “the cable length years” you mean what is on my website, the reason they only go to ‘86 is that’s what the website covers. But, the catalog goes to 1989. What years did the 300 have EFI?
  22. Well, you are going to have good wiring, even if the colors aren't what you want. And, you got the right wire size for the ground, as shown here: http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/engine-to-firewall-ground.html.
