  1. Yeah, it looks really nice and original. I have no idea what it's actual street value is, but if one has lots of time, there's no harm in starting with a really high price to see what shakes loose. I really like that color green...I remember seeing a lot of Bullnose trucks in that color back in the 80's. They may have time. The pics were taken almost 4 years ago, so they were thinking about or trying to sell it then.
  2. Neither. Bill Vose, aka 85lebaront2. He has AllData as well as info on the EECM's. But if that is a compatible unit, then problem solved?
  3. Thank you. Here is last nights work. Just got a couple pieces of subfloor down. I have to start doing 60 hours at work for the next couple weeks...so progress will be slow. I like the detail shot, Ray. Good planning. And well constructed.
  4. You are right - it isn't cheap. But I'd bet you could drive it home. And you couldn't recreate it for that price.
  5. Looks like there may be time Saturday. Come on up!
  6. Vinny - I think I'm learning a little bit about calibration codes - although not nearly enough. As you can see below, the calibration codes that would appear to be essentially either side of that one, meaning 0-53D-R0 and 0-53G-R0 are for 1980 trucks. And 53E & 53F weren't used - at least for trucks according to the catalog. My catalog runs from 1980 to 1980, so doesn't have info for the 1990 trucks. And the last 302 F150 entry is: Apparently they started back with "0" for 1990 and picked up at least the "E" if not the "F". Sorry. Perhaps Bill can help you.
  7. As an update, I got a box from LMC today with goodies to give away: Two $25 gift cards; 50 registration cards that participants can fill out and put on their windshield; 50 LMC Keep 'Em On The Road cards; 50 LMC stickers for bumpers or windshields. So now I need to start planning how to create grab bags into which this stuff will go, along with the other things that have been promised.
  8. 1980 and 81 had the letter and, what one friend termed, the Last Great Grille - the one w/o the Ford oval. Yeah, that's a shame. But perhaps the bed and bumpers are good?
  9. That's the reinforcing plate for the firewall. I have one exactly like that to go on Dad's truck - although it is no longer going to have a manual tranny. Hmmm, gotta figure out what to do 'bout that.
  10. To what? You don't show at the top level.
  11. HAHA. No I hadn't even heard of "Huck" yet. Yeah, may as well just push it off the lift and let it land where it lands. Huck = Half Truck. His frame was cut under the cab so the bed could be used as a trailer. I bought him for the E4OD & associated crossmember to use as a core to go in Dad's truck. And I got a running EFI'd 460 w/late model heads, fuel tanks & fuel lines, and the best pan w/a dip stick with an o-ring. Portions of the roof are going to Australia with Darin/Oz Econoline, and he already has the front crossmember. Jim/ArdWrknTrk got a seat belt, I used a seat belt buckle on Big Blue, the later style battery tray will go in Big Blue. The transfer case and huge front bumper were given to a friend, and other bits have gone to various homes. So, tomorrow I'll take what's left of Huck to the "recycling center".
  12. I'm guessing that you are going into overdrive way too early and the engine is bucking at the load at such a low RPM. The fact that you were able to drive it with the OD switched off supports my theory. Did it drive correctly with the OD switched off? I don't think you should be going into OD before hitting about 45 MPH. So whatever adjustments need to be made to get you there is what I'd recommend.
  13. I've seen that one before some place. Beautiful! By the way, they are Flaresides. Step Sides wear bow ties.
  14. Beautiful truck! Looks like a good thread. Let's see how many others can contribute.
  15. Did you look at my pics of Huck loaded on the trailer? How many wheels did you count on Huck? As for removing things, I've used the lift to remove many gas tanks, heavy trailer hitches and bumpers, etc.
  16. I've just realized that very few people have "subscribed" to get email notifications on this forum. And, unlike many other forums, you have to choose to subscribe rather than the forum doing it for you. You may assume that posting in a thread/topic subscribes you to that thread/topic, but it doesn't. In fact, if someone posts w/o replying to your specific post you won't get notified that anything happened. There are three levels of subscription: 1) Bullnose Forum (Top Level): This subscribes you to the whole forum and you will get notified, either by individual email for each post or a daily roll-up. 2) Sub-forums: You can subscribe to one or more of the sub-forums, like New Members Start Here or Resources. And, on each of those you can choose individual email notification or a daily roll-up. 3) Thread/Topic: Or, you can chose to be notified of any post in a thread/topic as you reply. Here's how to subscribe at the top level. While on the Bullnose Forum top level click on "Options" and then "Edit", as show below: Then you'll see the screen shown below. You can choose to get an email for every message/post or for just new topics. And then you can choose to get individual emails or a daily digest/roll-up. And, to subscribe to the 2nd level, lets play like we are subscribing to Resources. Go to the Resources sub-forum/folder and again click on Options. If you then click on Subscribe Via Email you'll see the screen below. Note that since I'm subscribed at the top level then I'm automatically subscribed to the 2nd and 3rd levels. Now, to subscribe to an individual thread/topic you have two options. First, go to that thread/topic and click on Options/Subscribe Via Email as before: Or, you can subscribe as you reply by ticking the box at the bottom that says "Alert me by email when someone posts to this thread". Simple?
  17. The problem has been resolved. Thanks for letting me know.
  18. YES! I was thinking about exactly that at the same time you were typing. He sent an employee with a truck & trailer that they use to deliver their plumbing products. I met him at a parking lot and said I'd drive it on the trailer. He said "It drives? I'll go up there?". Duh!
  19. Well, my first thought was an AA meeting: My name is Matthew and I have a problem - a truck.
  20. We aren't the only forum with the ad, and Nabble seems to know from whence it came. So hopefully they can remove it quickly. I had my ad blocker turned off as well, so enabled it and it did strip out the ad but left the signatures - which was exactly why I had it on in the first place. But I'll turn my ad blocker back off since I need to see anything that happens.
  21. I will take a truck I can drive and check out at twice or three times the price of one that can't be driven. That's because you can find out what is wrong with a driver, but can't the other one. Case in point - Rusty. The owner said the clutch was out. Hmmm, that's only ~$100. I'll take it. But, when I'd pulled the t-case and transmission I saw that the clutch looked good. Turned out to be the 9" rear diff, which was grenaded. Many hundreds of dollars later I had it on the road, only to learn that both the front and rear drive shafts were so worn that I had a vibration even after replacing the u-joints. Another few hundred - per drive shaft. After driving it a bit I then discovered that I had a pretty significant oil leak at the rear of the intake manifold. And I continued to find problems that would have shown up had I been able to drive it first. All it all, I had far more in the truck than the roughly $3000 I sold it for.
  22. And I have it as well. Thanks for letting me know, I've reported it. I wouldn't click on the link.
  23. LOL! I got confused. I read your signature and looked at the pic and said "That's not EFI!" Then I remembered that Espy is the new-to-you Bronco. Duh! But you got a LOT done today. That's a lot of work. The engine compartment looks a lot cleaner. On the oil pressure, that does look low. However, these gauges aren't the best, so I'd put an aftermarket set on before worrying. And an oil change would be the first thing to do. But, before you do, smell the oil. Does it smell like gas? I ask because I don't see a fuel pressure regulator, and Eddy's don't like more than about 5 1/2 psi. Unfortunately many fuel pumps put out more than that, which can cause an Eddy to overflow and put gas down into the crankcase, diluting the oil.
  24. Looks like a fun place to ride. How does the lemonade taste? Is the iceberg ice really good?
