In place of the truck-of-the-century? In addition to?
The suggestion has been to take that pic off the forum and put it on the home, or introduction, page. That way the big, high resolution picture doesn't have to be loaded every time we load a forum page. Or did I misunderstand?

I was just thinking it was time for a change of scenery, and I thought your original plan was to change the picture every now and then, unless I am remembering that incorrectly...and that is always possible.
My truck has been up there a while, and I thought if it was time for a change, a picture of one of yours would be an obvious replacement.

Ahhhh! I see said the blind man!
Yes, it might be time for a change, but neither of my trucks are in the proper state for that honor. So maybe it is time to rattle the cage and get a new candidate? Perhaps when we create the new "front page" would be a good time? Rick/Fonzie has a really nice truck. And I'm sure there are plenty of others. Suggestions?

I'm always happy to look at Rick's truck...that is a primo example of a Bullnose in every respect. However, I'd be just as content looking at one with the engine being lifted out...it would be well within the theme of many of us on here that are endlessly stuck in mid-project! The previous picture of Jonathan's truck was a great one as well. I like the every day Bullnose pics as much as the show trucks pics.

Gary, this picture is like "Fake news!" Maybe if you dumped a gallon or so of used oil on the floor, and scattered some hand tools and extension cords around, it would look more "authentic"...haha. Just kidding.

Cory, the inside of The Garagemahal always looks good! |
I'm just picking on Gary because there are a lot of Bullnoses in garages that as soon as you touch them with an impact gun, enough rust falls off them to fill a kitchen dustpan...lol. It is beautiful Gary.

Thanks, guys. But the inside is a huge mess right now, and is soon to get much worse as Big Blue comes apart.
Anyway, we need to find new/different pics, and I'd like them to be from someone's truck(s) other than mine. This is our forum, not my forum.

I'm happy to see a truck that gets used as a truck (maybe because of my username?)
But I don't have a Bullnose. Maybe Matthew's grandfather's truck? Maybe Don can get a pic of him and Chance working on his truck Maybe,....., I just don't know.

Maybe after I get my paint job next year. Right now it's kinda ratty. |

But that's what I want.
A truck that hauls mulch and picnic benches. If I can ever figure out a way to post an avatar pic from a touch screen you'll see yours is NOT ratty.

I actually took a good photo of my truck, once. Unfortunately I only have the low-res version from FTE and not the original.

Your computer took it out, the card was destroyed -and- you didn't have it in the cloud?
I guess im too cautious when it comes to things I'm proud of or appreciate.

The cloud? LOL. You couldn't pay me to store anything there.
As for the rest of it...actually, I am normally *very* good about archiving things; I even keep data on SD cards/USB drives in offsite storage, in addition to on my home PC and home storage array. But there appears to be a 3 month gap around when I took the photo, so I am mystified. However, I still have the original device that would have taken the photo; I don't recall whether it was my iPhone 4 or iPhone 5 I took it on, but those devices are both charging up (took me a minute to find a 30-pin Apple cable) and I'll be checking them out later. Actually...based on the release date of the iPhone 5, the photo was definitely taken on the 4. I'm going to pull everything from the 5 as well, just to be safe. |

I don't know about iCloud but I have my photos set for manual backup over WiFi and all the metadata is stripped.
Google photos is an easy way to keep them available. (From the days when a 16 or 32G card was big) I keep a bunch of SD cards, and even some old Compact Flash. I guess these are the Super8 and slide carousels of the ought's.

I forgot that I wiped the iPhone 4 a couple years ago, when I wanted to use it as a camera on my drone. I guess those photos really are gone forever.
Probably the best recent photo I have then is the one I took while delivering the benches. Any photo that hides how faded the back end is is a good photo in my book. |

My back end's beginning to fade too!
Nice pic. Maybe you could do a little zoom and enhance? Lol.

Hey, good idea! I was able to eliminate most of the imperfections that way: |
