  1. I've never had a coil do that. Not saying it won't. Some things that pop in mind are EGR valve and the accelerator pump or power valve, I think Holley calls it.
  2. That'll be fun! Making sparks at the junk yard! Plus, and I like this, you'll still have your original floor!
  3. That's great! You always need more tools!I'll have to ask our pick and pull next time I'm there about cutting stuff. They won't let you in without long pants and shoes.
  4. Happy dance time! Glad you got it! Now for more onion peels! This forum is great for help and knowledge! Edit: Ferdinand had this problem, so passing it on!
  5. " I know timing is a big deal but as long as you are on TDC, and roll it back to 10BTDC, then ensure your dist. cap is facing cylinder 1" You want your distributor rotor at the number 1 cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke, not 10♀BTDC. Then time it with a light to 10♀ BTDC or per the specs. Hope you get it figured out quick.
  6. Not sure I remember all you did. Has the truck ran good while you've had it? Are you sure the firing order is correct? If it is correct, have you tried the firing order for a 302? It's my understanding there are cams for the 351 that have a 302 firing order.
  7. Try to cancel it. These trucks are EEC-IV, and readers are extremely UNreliable on them. It only takes a jumper wire & test light to get codes. Click this, read the caption, and follow the relevant links in it: I have an Innova tester I use on my 1992 Bronco and it has worked well. What do they do?
  8. I didn't know Ford did an odd color mix. There you go, learn something everyday!
  9. https://klamath.craigslist.org/cto/d/klamath-falls-1983-ford-f250-4wd/6871933318.html Not too many pictures. Looks pretty good and a good price. Edit: Door panels are sure off color. Been smoked in.
  10. Looks nice! When I find out a truck has been lifted I move right along.
  11. Nice. Don't like the wheels on that truck. Must have put a new dash in it.
  12. Looks like the bumper on my F250. Which I agree, I don't think it's from Ford.

  14. Yeah, beat up 4x4's go for $2500 - $3500 sometimes.
  15. https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/grants-pass-1985-ford-xl-pickup-4x4/6868472086.html Not much info. Edit: good price for a 4x4 if it's not in too bad of shape.
  16. You can use brake cleaner or starting fluid, but starting fluid can give false indications if it's near the carb inlet. They will give you a rise in RPM. Also you can use a cigar! Google Scott Kilmer, I believe is his name. What about your clutch? Know the history? As in last time it was replaced.
