  1. On my iPad I’m not seeing the entrants still.
  2. I’m missing something. Can’t find the entrants.
  3. Nice! You’re making me nervous about the rust though!
  4. https://reno.craigslist.org/cto/d/truckee-1986-ford-f250/7196181342.html Expensive exhaust job!
  5. https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/d/bend-1985-ford-250-diesel/7196412293.html A little high priced in my opinion. But looks like solid bones. Engine has been “sweating”!
  6. That’s slick Scott, looking good! Bummer about that support.
  7. I think you should hear even a small speaker in a CB in the overhead like that. My brother and I mounted a CB on the overhead in my 1968 C10. Heard it just fine and that truck was loud with no A/C. Of course my hearing was much better then!
  8. I have the Cobra 75, I quit using it. Too small on the speaker, too weak on reception and transmission. I put the President Bill with a 3 foot Firestik Firefly in my Xterra. It’s a good car for CBs. Rare to get a contact sometimes. The first time I tested it I got an immediate response 5 miles away. I was sitting in my driveway next to the house and garage. My Bronco on the other hand is the worst vehicle I have put a CB in!
  9. As my old man used to say: "He'd be a nice fella if he didn't think he was a nice fella":nabble_smiley_grin: Like the gangster that told Bugs Bunny, “shut up shuttin up”!
  10. I would definitely recommend an external speaker if you go with the Pres. Bill. In my Xterra I run it to my stereo head in the aux input with a 3.5 cable. It only comes out the left side because it isn’t stereo. Was listening a lot the other day as I got stuck on I-5 because of the fires. Looks good Shaun!
  11. That is a bummer. Hope some stay around, I can’t afford a lot of the ebay prices.
  12. I mentioned lubing the speedometer at the instrument the other day. It’s quieter, and not as friendly...isn’t waving anymore! I’d lube there too.
  13. Thanks Jim, actually this is for other families too. If I understand correctly it’s a government program to keep produce and meat from going to waste because of COVID 19, that restaurants didn’t use. Of course now a lot will be going to fire victims. Man, it’s bad out here. Fortunate that the trucks made it this morning. Several freeways were closed yesterday and last night because of the fires.
  14. Nice work Jim! More produce! Farm to Families program. Loading up at the Gospel Mission.
  15. My ignition switch is stiff when cold and the speedometer sounds horrible at slow speeds. Decided to try to remedy those today. Pulled the dash only to remember there is no easy access to the back of the instrument panel. Oh well, I’ll leave it off. Pulled the speedo cable off from below, all right, perhaps I can shoot some lube up there later. Pulled the sleeve on the column to get better access to the ignition switch. Shot some lube in there, hoping it helps. Putting the sleeve back on being careful with the shift indicator cable. Got everything together and started trying things for proper function. Annnnd the shift indicator cable snaps. Had a NOS in my cabinet. (Thanks David). Pulled the instrument panel and really had access to lube the speedo at the panel which is where I suspected the noise was coming from. Got everything back together and on the test drive it sounded like a new truck! Next l need to quiet down the steering wheel. Sounds like the electrical ring. And find another NOS shift indicator cable, that doesn’t break the bank.
  16. Used my truck to move some produce. With the trailer and three pallets of produce, 35 boxes each pallet, I estimate it was 4500-5000 pounds. Man this truck has some grunt! This was the first time I’ve really had a load behind it. Put a lot of work into this truck and it’s nice to be impressed by it. Hoping to encourage someone. Didn’t think it was worth mentioning, but after hearing Gary’s truck run, and the work many have put into theirs, it’s great to keep this era on the road.
