  1. Great updates, analysis, and photos! Really enjoying seeing the photos
  2. I'll echo what has already been said! Was great talking to you again, looking at your truck, and taking advantage of the tire nitrogen swap.
  3. I thought it was Taped Over as well. Glad this question was asked
  4. He may have the same Powermaster 3G 1 Wire I have and you're right Jim, while the harness is molded in place the wires are still exposed and could be tapped into. I like the oil pressure switch triggering a relay option myself. The 460 makes that easier though since it has an oil pressure switch already.
  5. So you currently have a manual in your 81 F100 and you want to swap it for a C6?
  6. That looks like the shipping pin that keeps the switch in the Lock position until installed. It appears that your actuator rod isn't in the switch. Can you see where the end of the rod is?
  7. Agreed. For anyone attending in the future, having stayed previously in Owasso and this year in the Osage in Skiatook, this is hands down the place to stay. Hotel was really nice though the proximity to the show is the real selling point for me.
  8. Is that the only time you have voltage there? What about key off (out of the ignition) and all the doors closed? This may go back to a defective door switch and the PO just pulled the bulb as a fix.
  9. I want to thank Scott for providing me with a beautiful motorcycle license plate! My pleasure! Was great seeing you and Robert again. Always nice to talk to both of you in person.
  10. There were a lot of neat vehicles and stories to go with them. It was great to talk to everyone and while we may have been dripping with sweat the whole time, it really did fly by.
  11. Definitely on the warm side but was a great time! Gary puts on one excellent show.
  12. Sorry to see it go but best of luck selling! Enjoy the time with the kids and yes, hopefully a family Bullnose project truck will be in your future.
  13. Nice work! It looks like the raised part of the isolator should fit between the flat stock and center flange of the (the equivalent of the stock angled cutout I described above) but realize in hand they must not. Either way, it's in with minimal modification so that's a win
  14. How does your radiator look at the bottom? Does the bottom flange have an angled cutout before the tanks? When you sit the radiator in, where do the raised lips on the insulator hit in regards to this cutout?
  15. Nothing like a last minute reply but what about putting both in a drawing? Every entrant can put their name in for the shirts but only the names of the winners for the gift cards. If you've already come to a decision, disregard
  16. Chris - it may help to add the photo you added to your project thread here. Dane and my 86 radiators have two 'wings' on the bottom that sit in U shaped insulators like this: Gary has some good comparisons here but I don't see a straight shot of the earlier insulators so once yours gets figured out or you find a solution, please take some good photos and he may want to add them to that page.
  17. First - definitely not frowned upon to post questions here! As you said, posts here reach a wider audience. For a question like yours I like putting them in a separate thread here and then in the project thread referencing this thread or at least hitting the highlights of it. But that's a preference thing. I wish I could help on why those insulators aren't working but I've never paid attention to a 302 setup. I could look at one of my parts trucks next week but that may be too late. Without knowing how much interference there is, could you cut chunks out of the insulators? Or would replacing them with a few stacked squares of inner tube work?
  18. What about an angled zerk? Or maybe an angled grease needle? Have had to use straight needles before when clearance is an issue.
  19. These are frequently damaged since they are an easy way to run wires into the cab for aftermarket sensors/accessories so just as a tip to anyone that has an unmolested one and wants to run some wires- find one from a feedback carb setup, pull the wires out, run your new wires through it, and save the original one for a rainy day or someone else
  20. Sharp truck! I used Precision. Tossed the vent windows ones though as they made them too tough to open/close. The length of the window track weatherstripping wasn't spot on but is low enough to not cause issues. In the end, I'd try another brand on the next set.
  21. Thanks Gary for all the prep you've put into this! And yes, the Medium box will be a little lighter after the show
  22. Does look nice but hard to tell how far that crack goes and if the chrome is going to flake off. Looks like it's more than just the corner
